Dawn and I at the country corner cafe
    CP H.

We found a nice little breakfast nook in Ellijay, Ga. this morning. It appears to be a local favorite, where everyone knows each other. Dawn ordered the Cuban breakfast sandwich with potato's and I opted for a waffle, scrambled eggs and bacon. Everything came out hot and well cooked (potatoes were a little peppery) for Dawn's taste. (I loved em) overall it was a great breakfast and the service was good. Prices comparable to the area! Now off to the expedition Bigfoot museum! I would definitely come back again to the country corner kitchen!

Crispy county potatoes and a Cuban sandwich, need I say more? If you happen to find yourself passing thru or staying in Blue Ridge go out of your way to find this wonderful little country corner kitchen. I had a very tasty sandwich with my family that was very filling and delicious. The pulled pork with the tangy mustard paired perfectly. These folks know their stuff. If you've got a hankering for red beans and rice, they have that on the menu too. The staff is very nice and it's a cozy environment. Check them out!

First, I would like to say great service and good food. The only reason for 4 star instead of a five star is the limited hours and size and location of the restaurant. The restaurant is connected to a Texaco gas station which could detour some from visiting and its on the smaller size so it gets crowded; however, it stays packed so you know it has good food and service. I would definitely recommend the biscuits and gravy. Personally, I had to had salt and pepper for my personal taste, but that's a personal preference. My wife had the sample platter and enjoyed it and my sons enjoyed the waffles. Overall, the resultant is definitely worth a stop in visit.

Breakfast platter with scrambled eggs with cheese, country ham, biscuit and gravy and fried potatoes. Yum!

Did was cooked as ordered, nice and hot. Outdoor seating as well as indoor. Friendly folks here.

Great people and the most amazing biscuits! The veggie omelette was also very delicious... The coffee was good... Very impressive for a small walk-in café! Definitely enjoyed all of the signage inside the restaurants, very amusing! :-)

The best cake I've ever tasted. I don't even like cake. This cake was chocolate with cherries

This used to be called the Ellijay CoffeeHouse House, but is now Mountain Town Coffee at Hemlock Bazaar (hopefully Yelp will accept my edits), and it has a great vibe. There's a back entrance and courtyard which we came through. The decoration is wacky- I don't know how else to describe it. It's old school and nostalgic but strange. On the other side of the wall there's an entire book store that is part of the business. It had one of the most impressive collections I've seen in a bookstore in awhile. It wasn't huge but it had a great variety of genres, and a lot of intriguing titles I hadn't heard of but sought to remember for later. The man working the register was a charm- he told us how Ellijay has their own tv production (which they were playing on an old school tv), a special Bigfoot podcast and more. Lastly, the coffee was, of course, delightful. I had a latte with a little bit of spice in it that was perfect to warm a person up in the cool early spring air when we were there. Had we known this would be such a cool stop I think we would have bargained even more time to just hang and enjoy the atmosphere. I think it could be a good place to sit and do work or read and there's lots of spaces to sit so it's not too loud.
