Well there are some good sides and then there are some not so good things…read more Location is nice and quiet. Pub adjacent to the hotel. People working there are nice. Gym available Inside pool (But, read below) Now for the price some things needs to be taken care off properly like the room, almost broken toilet paper holder, things on carpet. This is not acceptable. The inside pool is nice but it is like ice cold and then there is no shower place either before or after shower. The breakfast is free and the Egyptian person managing is also great but there is no toast available. I was told Marriott have removed toast from all their hotel chain breakfast menus. That's so weird!!! Why would you do that? I expected this to be better than days inn or comfort inn but sadly it's not and the only thing different is the price.

Very clean hotel inside and outside, they have a bar ,drinks were great. Complementary breakfast is every morning. There is a fire pit outside with seating. The rooms are equipped with a couch/ sofa bed. A table to set up your laptop if you're here for business, a microwave and refrigerator is provided. I completely forgot to take pictures of the room due to being on the go. Smh! There is a gym and inside pool. Next door there is a restaurant, I didn't get a chance to dine in but I will next time I come back .

I am sorry to be writing this. Truly. The staff at the DoubleTree in Somerset are as fine and…read morehardworking a collection of people as you could ever hope to meet. The two young women at the front desk who checked me in were patient, cheerful, and far more professional than the setting deserved. Every bartender, housekeeper, and maintenance worker I encountered seemed to care. They smiled, they helped, they tried. But the hotel itself feels like a tired old animal that wants to lie down and not get up again. The carpets are worn to the color of defeat, the furniture bears scars that tell too many stories, and the bathrooms are so dated that one half expects to find a rotary phone beside the toilet. Mold creeps in at the edges, as mold always does when no one can quite afford to keep it out. Half the television channels work, depending on the phase of the moon, and which half are the functioning half varies by the minute. The meeting rooms, which must have once been proud places of corporate ambition, now feel like basements dressed up for a sad party. The chairs wobble. The microphones hum. The food, both in the restaurant and in the conference meals, tastes as though it has been waiting in a freezer since the first Clinton administration. The same tired buffet appears every year, as predictable as gravity, and the boxed lunches inspire no one. One of my colleagues got trapped in an elevator. It took the engineering team to pry her and a handful of Junior League hockey players out, and the emergency call speaker crackled like a ghost from a dying transistor radio. What makes this review hard to write is that none of this is the fault of the people who work there. They are doing their best in a place that has been abandoned by the gods investment. If the ownership put half the care into the property that the employees put into their jobs, this could be a wonderful hotel. As it stands, it is my least favorite conference center by a wide margin, and that is saying something. Still, I hope the staff know they are appreciated. They deserve a better stage than this one.

Would definitely stay here again if I ever travel through Jersey again. Room was clean and the first one we stayed in during the week with an in-room coffeemaker - definitely a plus! The hotel overall was dated but the room was clean and affordable. Can't complain. Thanks

Even their towels need replacement, it's old. Never again will I stay at Courtyard Marriott. It also took awhile to request tissue box and toilet paper, these items are necessities. It seems that many of the hotels in this area relatively old and in need of rehabilitation,…read moreincluding this Courtyard. Though it was updated a few years ago, the underlying issues are obvious and prevalent. It's like painting an old car, the rust spots begin to reappear, and the engine is still old and doesn't run well. There is a newer SpringHill Suites and Fairfield Inn in the area, but I find the SpringHill Suites to have an odd layout, and the Fairfield Inn is Spartan. But, back to the Courtyard. There are a few positives here, they have a beautiful courtyard outside with comfortable furniture and beautiful landscaping. It's adjacent to the hotel café, which is comfortable and attractive, but offers a very limited, and not very tasty menu. The café is open for breakfast. My breakfast sandwich was so poor the first morning, that I ordered a Panera breakfast (about a mile away) every day thereafter. The hotel has ample parking and and a convenient location. The last few times we stayed here, I left a list of three or four maintenance items which needed attention, including a badly leaking sink pipe. This visit, we had four maintenance items (vent cover hanging off wall, broken screen, broken closet door, grout issues in bathroom), which I politely emailed to their General Manager. You'd think a response from one of these instances would have been warranted, but that didn't happen. So this Courtyard is off our list, we'll attempt to find a better venue on our next trip.

This hotel was quite the let down. The number of beds requested was not available upon arrival…read moredespite letting the property know we wouldn't be arriving until later in the evening. They attempted to resolve by moving us to a suite. Failing to say the suite was also short a bed. The substitute was a sofa bed couch, that was ridiculously uncomfortable, that they apparently thought was a worthy substitute. In moving to the additional room, it was a downgrade with no balcony and a bizarre view of the roof of another portion of the property. Kind of strange the front desk would consider the room was an upgrade solely cause the room size. The hotel doesn't contain noise from fellow rooms (or at least the room we had), as you could clearly hear conversations from neighbors in the room next door. The room had what appeared to be newer furnishings, but some of the larger pieces (where maybe extra pillows, blanket, etc. would be stored) were barren and made for a dreary ascetic. Maybe not a big deal, but it has been a few decades where I have been at a non-Travelodge category hotel with an ant sighting in the room. All that to say, you may want to select another hotel if staying in this area and can find a comparable rate.
