After looking at the very attractive displays showcasing each product made at the Distillery, my daughter and I opted to share a tasting. We chose the Moroccan Rose and Grapefruit Flavored Vodka to start and I loved the distinct fruity taste without the sugary sweetness. Next was the Maple Gin, which was lovely as well. Our server told us she likes to mix it with muddled blueberries and ginger beer for a refreshing summertime mule, and I agree that does sound delicious. Our third taste was the Bourbon Maple Cream Liquor, which was so delicious, and we finished the tasting with the Maple Cram Liquor, which was smooth, sweet, and went down very easily. We were impressed with the cleanliness of the store - everything was sparkly clean and shining. The layout of the displays was so attractive. We will definitely stop there again on our next trip to VT.

The tasting room is small with a single counter for tasting and a wall of bottles for purchase but it's well worth the wait if needed. You can even sample the syrups while you wait for free! Our hostess was very informative about all of the spirits and very appreciative of each of her customers. She talked a bit fast but that's understandable in the environment, it's busy!! We each did a tasting, the special tasting and the regular, so we got to try almost everything! Our cabinet and fridge got a few new additions with the canned vodka sodas and a single barrel. I highly recommend a stop and a tasting of the Hopped Gin, whether you're a gin drinker or not!! We visited in August 2024.

Ruby welcomed us to the tasting room and patiently poured and explored with us the several kinds we were considering. It was a lot of fun, an experience we highly recommend as a part of wedding preparations. We were there on a Sunday, a beautiful spring day - the sun shining and the small group of visitors kept growing as the afternoon progressed. Unknown to us, the Vineyard had a busy agenda planned, but first they steered us to a grassy area away from their main parking area to park for the night. We went inside to the cool and comfortable wine tasting room and were greeted by a very friendly engaging staff. Ruby offered us a sample and ran through their day's agenda. A talented group of musicians were setting up their equipment on the shaded patio outside while guests were spreading blankets on the lawn or setting up a picnic on one of the several available tables. We were meeting old friends there and hoped we could find a seat. The band played much of the music that I grew up on (Fleetwood Mac, Neil Young, the Dead, and lots more.) We picked out a few bottles to put in the frig in our rig ... then went back inside. Our friends (that live nearby in Vermont) joined us first inside where we shared a charcuterie board. We later moved to our Class B with them and enjoyed our little picnic, accompanied by their delicious wines. Then late in the afternoon, we went back inside because a jazz ensemble was to perform. The sun was still shining and everyone there was feeling the vibes. We met the owner who had a staff that he should be very proud of - they were very gracious to all the guests that came through. Be sure and stay here if it's in your path.

Judy and Jim were two of the most down-to-earth people you could ever want to meet. The wine was best we had tasted out of the five vineyards we visited. The farm is impeccably maintained. What a wonderful find! The property itself is beautiful. It's just off of Hwy 2, and as we walked up we were greeted by the "meter greeter", a friendly poodle named Luna. Classical music was being played from the top of a small hill, which only added to the peaceful, lovely scene. We were greeted by Judy, who owns the farm with her husband Jim. She gave us a nice tour of the vines and we got to watch some of the grapes being harvested. Had a taste too--delicious! Then she led us up to the sugar house where they not only ferment the wine, but make maple syrup in the spring. She proceeded to take is through a fantastic wine flight and we even tasted the two premium maple wines. Heavenly! I would love to come back to Vermont someday, and definitely plan to return to the Hillis' farm.
