Upon entering the place, the bar is dead centre, with two rooms on each side with windows. There was hardly anyone in the place except for a few guests taking a break from wedding activities. The place looks pretty old inside with torn seat cushions, the whole place dark inside, but doesn't feel dirty, until you use the bathrooms--they need work. Now onto the good stuff. The waitress was super friendly and set us up with drinks and menus. We ordered a double order of wings, 1/2 Medium, 1/2 BBQ. We had to wait 25 minutes for the wings but they were well worth the wait. Piping hot, just enough sauce, and nice and crispy. It's nice getting wings done right and not having to put in the standard request of "extra crispy". The BBQ wings were grilled. Both tasted amazing, these guys really know what they are doing. Nice tasting blue cheese too. $19.50 for the double wings isn't too bad as well. Can't wait to go back to try the Hot and Cajun! read more

Ordered takeout from here. The chicken finger platter was huge and delicious! They got the medium flavor just right and the fries were really good. The price might be more than other places, but I had enough for leftovers for lunch the next day. Just as a heads up, they were very busy with takeout orders when I was there. The wings here are good. They aren't the best, but I would say much better than average. Where they stand out is you can double dip sauces, 1 wing, 2 flavors. I prefer the cajun/bbq or honey mustard/cajun blends. Being in a strip mall, you wouldn't guess how much of a small town dive bar feel it would have. This is not a good place to go for dinner. The menu looks great - everything looks good, but as with most places nowadays the prices have skyrocketed. The service is really slow and the food is either cold or raw. This issue is not a one off - I have eaten here a lot of times and more than half the time I've had to send the food back. Half the food is ready and sits waiting for the rest of the food When the rest of the food is ready the other food is sitting 10 minutes and is now cold. Okay, the place is a dive in an outdated strip mall; something my bride and I would call a "Hole in the Wall." It needs a deep cleaning and some paint; and service could be a little better, but the food is terrific! It's sports bar fare, so don't get too excited about thinking you'll find something out of the ordinary here. The Reuben was great! My son raved about his French Dip, and my ex's (wife and outlaws) raved about their food as well. No lemonade, but I won't hold that against them. The bartender appeared to be the only person working at 1pm on a Saturday afternoon, and with one other party in there besides us, the service was a little slow in getting the orders out. The walls are adorned with Sabres jersies and the bar is rustic and woody. A TV or three are located in the bar area. The carpets need a deep steam cleaning and the tables are easily seen to be dated by the condition they're in. Bathrooms reek of urine, with rust everywhere and in need of a fresh paint job, but don't let that hold you back from trying the place out. It was a toss up between a 3 and a 4. The place was packed and they had 2 hard working waitresses waiting tables. It was about a 20 minute wait. Truth be told, we ventured out here because of the Buffalo Wing Trail. They had the code posted in numerous places. They were out of draft beer, so I ordered a Blue. It took a while but she came back with a Blue Light, no biggie. We ordered a double order of wings, half Cajun and half double dipped (hot/BBQ). We ordered extra bleu cheese and she didn't charge us, very nice. The wings were fine. I mean we took a 20 minute drive to get there (I know it's not a long time), but I've got better wings in my own backyard. It's tough because I'm comparing them to Imperial's BBQ Sully hot wings. Not even close. Also, the Cajun wings were ok. I wouldn't call them Cajun. Tasted more like chiavetta's. Just Pizza used to have awesome dry rub Cajun wings. The next time I travel to the North-towns I'd hit Barbill again over Elmo's. If I lived right around the corner, then I'd frequent Elmo's more often. They offer the best wing in Buffalo. We got there around 9 pm in a Saturday night and they were fully packed with people . However they were able to give us a table for our party ( 8 people ) . We ordered a double wings ( 20 wings ) . You can split the flavor into two. We got Cajun + hot and Cajun + medium. It was spicy and flavorful. This is in my top 2 of wing joints in Western New York! Their wings are big and crispy and their sauces are amazing especially if you get your wings double dipped! Personally I enjoy the Cajun BBQ and I've also had the Cajun Honey Mustard. This is a great place to watch a sporting event whether it's football, hockey, baseball or whatever. Very cozy local bar. Draft/craft beer selection is not that big (only a few taps) but they do have some good cans & bottled beers. read more

I've been living around the corner from this place for almost 3 years now, and I've always mistaken it for a dive bar. However I kept noticing reviews for the place saying best wings in Buffalo, so bar or not, I had to try it. So the small order of wings is 10 wings which is just too many for one person, so the waitress suggested the children's portion which was 5 wings and celery. I got double dipped medium with honey mustard and my gosh, these wings were plumps, juicy and just the right amount of sauce. Yes, definitely better than Anchor Bar, Duffs and every other place I can think of. And the waitress? What a great person. She was spot on and I wish I would've told her how good I thought she was. If you want what may be the best wings you have ever had in a local bar/pub setting, this most definitely IS your place. Recommend trying the double dip. They wings are friend in one sauce, than récoltes and fried with another. Makes for a lot of interesting combinations. I went for Cajun BBQ on the advice of the server. A nice dive bar to hang out at and enjoy a drink. Located in the suburbs, so the crowd is full of locals. The bartenders personally greet the regulars by name and welcome newcomers so you don't feel out of place. They have a a good amount of tvs that they show different sports on and the bar seats are located nicely to have a clear view for watching. Beer and mixed drink selection is nice, with a bunch of options on tap, as well as bottled, for a decent price. My friends ordered the medium chicken fingers and they absolutely loved them. The dish comes with a side of fries, which were nicely crispy, 4 large chicken fingers, and some celery and blue cheese. Your order comes out quickly and the bartender is very attentive to bring more blue cheese when he saw they were running low. My dad and husband and I came here around 7:15 on a Friday night to try their famous wings. We were seated immediately (at the only open table left!) but it did take about 15 minutes for our server to come over. He did apologize. We ordered pitches if beer, a double order of medium wings and a basket of fries for my dad and I to share, and a chicken finger wrap for my husband. 5 Stars for the wings. I've been at all the wing spots in Buffalo since they were a nickel each and Elmo's is right at the top of the list. I think Gabriel's Gate still has a better "Standard Buffalo Wing", but no one even comes close to their double dipped selections, especially the Cajun-Honey Mustard. I gotta say it again, the Cajun-Honey Mustard double dipped wings are incredible. Best wing I have ever had. 4 Stars for the beer selection. No Genessee beer? C'mon now. Support a local staple. A beer menu would be nice to have rather than having your wait staff memorize it all. It can be loud in there - don't make the girls repeat the list! 3 Stars for the celery and carrots.
