I became a patient at this dental office in January and initially had a positive experience. I had a deep cleaning, and before the procedure the office manager assured me that my insurance would cover the treatment, aside from the $148 I paid that day. Based on those assurances, I agreed to move forward with the service. Several months later, after that office manager was no longer with the practice, I was contacted and told that my insurance did not cover the procedure after all. The office is now attempting to collect the full balance from me, ontop of what I have paid, despite acknowledging that I was given incorrect information before treatment. The staff was very rude to me when I explained to them that I was mislead and felt I was not givin the right to refuse service if my insurance was not covering that cleaning. Which again I was told it was covered, and my cost was $148 which was paid. What is most disappointing besides being so incredibly rude and unprofessional is that they admit I was misled, yet they still expect me to absorb the cost of their mistake. Patients rely on dental offices to verify insurance benefits and provide accurate information before treatment decisions are made, I know this as my daughter works for an oral surgeon. As a stylist and esthetician, I value supporting local businesses and have referred many of my clients, as well as family and friends, to this practice. Unfortunately, because of how this situation has been handled, I can no longer recommend this office. The lack of organization and accountability has completely changed my opinion of what was initially a positive experience. read more

While I don't typically write reviews, I felt it was important to share my experience. My initial impression of the clinic was positive, and the quality of the dental work has been satisfactory. However, throughout my visits, I've noticed a consistent lack of personal connection and professionalism that has become increasingly concerning. During five of my six appointments, the dentists and dental assistants did not introduce themselves, with the notable exceptions of Dr. Patel, Lori, Pat, and Thomas. This created an impersonal atmosphere where I often felt like just another number rather than a patient. This feeling was amplified during my most recent visit. I arrived on time for my 4 PM appointment, but due to a lack of seating, I informed the front desk I would wait outside. After 35 minutes had passed with no communication or updates, I re-entered the clinic to inquire, only to be called in at that moment. The front desk staff seemed indifferent to the long wait in the hot weather. When I expressed to the dental assistant that the long delay meant I might have to reschedule, I was met with an argument instead of an apology. More disappointingly, I witnessed a front desk staff member (Maria) roll her eyes and whisper to a colleague in response to my concern. A simple acknowledgment of the delay and an apology would have made a significant difference. The response, "we were busy and running behind, you can reschedule if you want," felt dismissive and unprofessional. While my dental issues are being addressed, the recurring lack of communication and respect from the staff has made my experience very unpleasant. I hope this feedback is taken constructively, as I believe patient care should extend beyond the dental chair to include how individuals are treated from the moment they walk in the door. read more

This place is awesome. They do everything in the same office! I needed a root canal on back tooth that was infected and had no idea that was what was making me have severe sinus issues for the last couple years. Other dentist offices in the area wanted to send me to specialists that we're gonna take two weeks to see and I need to take care of the infection immediately. Marie got me in within two days with the specialist they have on site. There is no need to be sent out to a specialist and incur extra charges at this office. They work with you on pricing if you don't have insurance. All of the staff were super nice and friendly. Angie is a great dental assistant. Definitely will be coming back for some cosmetic work. Dr. Mintzer is the best dentist I have encountered in my 81 years. He is thorough and willing to answer all questions. I have been to other dentists in the last 2 years and all wanted to do extensive work. They are all rackets suggesting I needed thousands dollars in work. Dr. Mintzer and his associates found this was untrue. I was able to get a teeth cleaning in my first visit and not trying to be sold on a "deep cleaning". I typically hate going to the dentist but I will say my experience at this dental office has been great thus far and I've had anywhere from a root canal done too, even a tooth pulled. The dentist does great work and I've been to enough dentists to know the difference! But he also has truly the best staff. Jay at the front desk is always SOO nice and friendly plus accommodating with my crazy work schedule ... she also is extremely knowledgeable with my insurance so she makes sure i never pay a dollar more than I'm supposed to and that goes a long way in my book! His assistants Lori, Thomas, and Maribell are truly the best as well. Maribell made sure I was comfortable and not feeling any pain the entire time and always checking in with me. Even when I had a bad taste in my mouth she made sure I got mouth wash to rinse and brought me a water to drink making sure I was good and comfortable. It's one thing for someone to do their job but I could really feel that she cared which made me feel comfortable! Lastly I thought it was super cool of Thomas to strike up a personal conversation with me while he was getting my temporary implants ready! Really helped me take my mind off of the fact that I was at the dentist. Plus my temporary implants came out great ... they feel great and look great one could say he's even an artist with his craft! They also tried doing X-rays twice! They also didn't even do my cleaning the way it's supposed to be done! Do not book these people! read more

Elsinore Smiles will have you smiling inside and out. The staff here is SO friendly and personable. I came in for a dental emergency as a new patient while experiencing pain. I was so nervous and let Brandon know - he assured me everything would be ok and discreetly made sure the team was aware. Everyone acted in concert to assure I felt comfortable and taken care of. Jay helped walk me through payment options and was so accommodating to my needs and questions. Please listen and take into consideration how god awful this place is!! So my husband went here to get ONE single tooth done and 8 months later he still hasn't got it done! They have messed it up not just once but 3 times!! Then they charged him out of pocket a ridiculous amount, even though we have dental insurance! He gets a different dentist every time he goes and gets the run around and they ended up screwing his implant through his gum and came out the other side!! He's still not done and I can go on and on but I can write a novel!! Maybe some of you had a good experience but he will absolutely NEVER go back!!!! read more

I looked online for places near me that remove wisdom teeth found elsinore smile in canyon lake , There site had a coupon for wisdom teeth removal starting at 149$ with out insurance , So Went in for a consultation and was ready to have one wisdom tooth removed not all 4 just one ,was informed that the my co-pay for removing the one tooth would be 40$ plus 350$ for irrigation of the mouth that is not covered by insurance for a total of 441.40 to remove 1 tooth with insurance. wouldn't recommend seems they are 100% about money not the patient. read more

The worst dental office I've ever been to. They do not have a regular dentist, and both times I've been I had to wait over an hour for the temp dentist to show up because they were stuck in traffic. I went to Elsinore smiles to have a wisdom tooth removed and ended up with a broken drill bit (burr) left in my jaw. It is still there and they have ignored my requests to pay for future consultations or removal. They did pay for part of the first consultation with an oral surgeon at a different office but left me to pay for the rest. I don't recommend going there. I switched dentist offices and never went back. Also they charged me for a procedure that was never done and did not refund the money for at least a month. read more

Get a print out and have it explained. Sad when it seems like the $$ is priority over doing what is best for the patient. And insulting to think you couldn't figure out what is going on. Not pleased. I went to Elsinore Smiles in severe pain with a molar that had a hole in it. Was charged $150 (outside insurance) for palliative care dental work on the above mentioned tooth by Dr. Mittal Patel. Told me I wouldn't be in shocking pain anymore (the reason I came in), that I'd need a root canal, etc. Left me with a temporary filling until then. I was in so much pain after leaving there I could not chew on the right side of my mouth let alone close it and let the teeth touch. I went to another dentist, at a different facility. He indicated that the dentist I saw before broke a dental tool inside my tooth, that there was a piece stuck in there and if he couldn't remove it the tooth would have to come out. The other dentist didn't charge me, just billed through my insurance (Elsinore Emiles did both bill my insurance and charge me out of pocket for basically nothing considering I had togo to another dentist to fix the problem). I will not be coming back to this facility for any services nor would I recommend them, I have also asked them for a refund. If they can admit what happened (like they should've in the first place) and issue that refund my rating may go up, but certainly not like this. Outside of that I felt like their practices are unethical and predatory manner. They basically had me sign on for a quote of $2,500 worth of dental work, while I was writhing in pain, only to tell me later on the phone that "I had signed on for the services". DO NOT GO HERE! I arrived to my appointment and waited 30 mins to finally have my X-rays done. Took an ENTIRE HOUR just to get them done, the lady walked out 5 or 6 times with no explanation. They then took another 45 minutes to bring me back to go over my X-rays. When the X-ray analysis was over, the extremely rude receptionist asked if I wanted to schedule another appointment for cleaning! I have never seen such an unprofessional business. I love this dental office! I had to have deep cleanings done and they got me in right away. I have a lot of anxiety surrounding going to the dentist but they made sure I was numbed enough and were really kind about it. They dentist and hygienist I saw were both gentle which is unheard of! The staff at the front desk are so awesome and fun! Usually I dread the dentist but after my experience here at Elsinore Smiles I know they're competent enough and understand the anxiety of patients they see. The only challenge I had was that one staff member ate some food and only rinsed her hands (with her mask half off) quickly before going back to work. She wasn't involved in my treatment, but with the pandemic still in full gear it was a little concerning. Other than that I had no qualms with this office. The nice woman at the front desk (Brenda) talks so fast and spits out so many words so quickly it's difficult to follow her or understand what she is talking about. It's dizzying and baffling and mind blowing. I perceived she appeared to extort me by saying if I "write a bad review, you won't receive discounted rates." What discounts? I was quoted around $3820 and ended up being charged for over $7000. Although my female dentist was pain free sensational, it's not worth the price. I felt victimized and cheated and won't use their services ever again. I had gone to another dentist before them and I was quoted a total price of $4500. I should have stuck with them. Ethics and credibility here...not so much. As for my dentist, she was good and pain free even with root canals. However, I still cannot give a good rating. Great customer service should start with the personnel at the reception desk and continue until you leave. Eeech. She just gives me the willies when I picture her sitting there. Zero Stars if it would let me post ZERO, but you cannot end your review without at least one star. It's only my opinion based on what I perceived to unfold, however, my recommendation...STAY AWAY! I was very nervous. I shared this with Clerissa, the Dentist assistant and she explained in detail what steps were going to take place.
