The gentleman that work out in the lines washing the vehicles are very hard working, detail oriented and very friendly. My car comes out looking like a million bucks every single time. This is your typical assembly line car wash. Decent at washing cars but do not go in for a detail. Burned through the paint and left the car filled with compound and burn marks in every possible spot. Offered to pay more to finish the job if necessary and give them more time. They felt this was up to their standards. Refused correct the problem than asked to get paid?? I asked how much he'd like to get paid for ruining the vehicle. Like others have stated, they do a very thorough job of cleaning your car and you absolutely notice a difference inside and out once they are done. Hence, it's slow and can take an average 45min based from the time you enter the car wash. Outside wait times are additional. Prices have gone up significantly in the last 1-2 years hence I come less frequently now. The M-Th 8am-10:30am discount is only $2 off the list price so not much of a draw anymore. They do have a punch card and you can get 5 wash packages that are safe a few bucks. They also charge a credit card fee. read more

This was my first time here and although I had to wait about 25 minutes due to the line, they took their time and cleaned inside and out pretty well. I got a car wash from this place because my car (large SUV) was dirty from the inside and outside from dealing with winter and ice for days. But the car wash was horrible. I paid $30 (instead of $26) because the cashier basically forced me to upgrade to premium by saying " get the $30 car wash, it's better ". I did but it wasn't!. The outside of the car was nice and clean. The problem was the inside. They did not do a good job vacuuming. They failed to clean the door panels and they used dirty rags to clean my leather seats, leaving white stains on my seats. I know it was a busy day for them because it was a nice winter sunny day to get a car wash. But I'm paying to get my car washed and cleaned as they promised. I paid right away before I got the car wash and even agreed for the upgrade thinking that I was getting a better car wash. I ended up cleaning their own work after the car wash. At first I couldn't noticed the white stains on my seats because the seats were damp but when the seats dried up the stains were noticeable. The door panels were still dirty and took pictures. I do not recommend this place. If you do go to this place, inspect your car to see that they got the job done right as they promised. read more

If you have anything nice or care about the paint on your car at all literally stay away from this place. After leaving and looking at my car in the sunlight it was completely covered with micro scratches/swirl marks. The car wasn't even cleaned properly. They literally don't care here. My 2nd review for them.. why? Because they're just that good! A few weeks ago I was in Bucktown with a filthy car. I thought I'd try a place over here I saw; Auto Spa Chicago on Clybourne. I pull in and wait a minute before somebody asks me to pull to the wash area. I get out and ask for a cleaning inside and out. They say no problem and I go on where the cashier is. I'm them told $48 for a wash. REALLY? They said yeah and point to a piece of paper next to the register with the prices. I pay and got the worst wash ever. The same wash is 30 bucks at Easton and they do a fantastic job. These guys now do ceramic coating.. I'll be back for that. And these guys always treat my car respectfully. Not every employee gets in to move the car, as some have dirtier clothes than others (part of the job I'm sure). This place isn't the closest to my house, but well worth the drive! read more

I came because of the good reviews. Let me start by saying it was full mid day. No line around the block but when I pulled up could not pull in was in the driveway. They pulled my car to the side. But then other cars that arrived after me were pulled up before my car to start the wash. So that's not great. It maybe though thorough but it's sooooo slow. They clearly are busy and just need more hands on deck and people working there. There are not enough people working to make it faster or more efficient. A good car wash should take 30 minutes not 1 hour. I am not sure I have ever waited an hour once I pulled inside. Prices everywhere have gone up. Still shocked premium wash inside/out is $30 but I think that's normal everywhere. There is nothing that would bring me back here over another place. It wasn't spotless there was still dirt on my car runner on the side of my car. But the wash was decent but not taking 1 hour. read more

My little Midnight was looking pretty terrible after several days parked under the tree in front of my house as the leaves are getting thinner and thinner. The birds land, and... well. It was actually kind of embarrassed to be driving my car anywhere *except* a car wash, and she doesn't deserve that, so I needed to find a car wash tout suite. This is the first car I've ever owned brand-new, and I wanted to take care of my toddler, so she needed to go to a place that was going to take care of her instead of a drive-through car wash. The guys here washed her really well, and I came at a pretty good time because I was in and out within about 20 minutes. I got the highest level wash they do, so they vacuumed out the interior and all and it looked really good! I want to get my car detailed sometime, and I may bring it here instead of the dealer since it's much closer and probably less expensive. But either way, I'll certainly return. Had a very bad experience today 03/10/25 at 3:30 p.m by a RUDE PERSON named Juan. Very rude, unprofessional and machista in front of customers. Accusing me of calling him a year and half ago. I tried telling him that he was confusing me with someone else but he kept on acting unprofessional, rude and obnoxious . I felt very humiliating and embarrassed. Tell me why they rolled down my passenger side window 6 inches after washing it. Seemed odd- until I rolled it back up and understood why. The window was all wet and I could see it had a scratch on my tints. And now the bottom of the window is drying with water marks. Just got my car back and I'll not come back here again. I paid $30 for the "premium plus wash", which is the most expensive option here. For that price, you'll get a smell of something mixed with sweat and a kind of fume from your mouth when you drink all night. This "premium plus wash" includes an air freshener, so it might be that... because I didn't find any "Christmas tree" inside the car. And they didn't even wipe inside (check the photos). So if you want to pay $30 for about 5 minutes of "washing" - go ahead. But I'm sick of it, I'm ready to pay for the quality service but I can't find someone who can do the job properly. Looked for a place closer to where I live. Very slow. Waited 50 minutes on a very warm (90 degree) Saturday. There was only 1 vacuum station. Got the premium wash for midsize suv. $26 with tax. Had to ask front seat cup holders to be washed again. Otherwise wash was solid. Just very slow. They also picked stuff up from trunk and vacuumed underneath which was good. Prices are higher than what Yelp reviews seemed to imply. Prices comparable to where I usually go Glitz on Augusta. They do run deals during the week. Riverview's prices are better. Trying that next time. Waiting area is air conditioned but not large. Outside waiting area is nice though. Spaced out benches. read more

Great work done by great people. Went in for the early bird special which gives you a 2 dollar discount for any of the washes they offer. About 26 after taxes for the middle grade premium for an SUV. Everything looks great. I just wish they did more to our rear passenger floor mats that still had some dirt on them. I like an interior detail and don't expect perfection, but I was disappointed at the detail job at Elston Hand Car Wash. I bought a used car and brought it to Elston Hand Car Wash for an interior detail and ozone treatment because it had a funky smell and it was a little grimy inside. When I picked up the car, it smelled better, but then the smell came back after a few hours. I don't know exactly what the smell is... smells like dog breath. I chalked it up to the fact that this car might have a stubborn bad smell that might take a while to get rid of and didn't blame Elston for it. But then I noticed a few little stains still on the interior console and interior lights, so I bought some Macguire's interior cleaner to clean those spots that were missed at Elston. To my huge disappointment, I found that when I wiped my steering wheel and gear shifter with the McGuire's spray and cloth, a ton of disgusting dirt came off both of them onto my cloth (see photos). The first photo shows the grime that came off the gear shifter and the second photo shows what got left on the clean part of the cloth from the steering wheel, only a few days after this interior detail. So I don't know what happened during the interior detail at Elston. They definitely shampooed the seats and carpet because they were moist to the touch when I got my car, and it looked like everything was dusted, but I was sad that some obvious places like the steering wheel and gear shifter were still pretty yucky. Anyway, I'm sad to say I don't recommend them for detailing, but they're probably a great place for a regular routine car wash. I hate leaving a mediocre review on Yelp, but this was a total bummer. read more

Still a happy customer. I don't get my car washed very often, but have been here a few times since my first review and have been consistently pleased. I brought my mom's car here for detailing before I sold it and they are miracle workers. The car wasn't filthy, but had a funky smell going on the inside. The car was so clean when I got it back, way cleaner than when we got it detailed after buying it, and there was no hint of the funky smell at all. It made the car easy to sell. Usually I'm here for regular washes, most recently it was after a long road trip and the car was covered in bugs, sap, etc. It looks wonderful now and the inside is nice and clean too.
