I paid for a $30 wash. Not the basic wash. Too expensive to begin with but I was desperate. I don't mind pay$30 but there are spots all over left untouched. Very lazy. Hurried? I don't mind waiting either. They didn't clean floor mats. Ik are not to come here.tgey took all my quarters in the door once but figured I'd just empty my door of quarters this time. I get missing something but missing more than 5 spots and not doing floor mat is ridiculous for $30. I still have them two stars because it's ok for a basic like ash. I guess. Also because they were quick and nice. When you provide bad service though you really need to at least be nice. Some will overlook the faults of the service is served with a smile. I came here once since I was in the neighborhood for another event. I'm always trying to find the best car wash, whenever I have one I like it seems to close. I had mixed feelings on this one: the results were generally good but with the interior clean I felt that there was a little to heavy use of product, with some moisture and some patchy smears of a leather polish that looked abnormal for several days, but eventually dried out. The ease of figuring out what to do was a little difficult for a first time customer, but I figured it out. The cost was on the higher end and it was a longer wait than other places. So it got the job done but I think I keep looking for another regular place! read more

My family have known of and used this location over the years. I know there has been a change in management over the years. I had been driving a friend's vehicle for over a week. Part of showing my appreciation was having it hand washed. Well, they broke the tail gate. After their service, the tailgate had to be held up. What was so distasteful was the manager came and hugged me saying "Next time lift up the 3rd row when having it cleaned". Knowing they had damaged the vehicle. Now, I want to have this same vehicle detailed (deep cleaned - shampoo the rugs, seats and interior) but i don't trust this establishment. I'm open to any suggestions. Do not, I repeat Do NOT get your car deep cleaned, shampoo'd, detailed, etc. here at this location. If you want to get an exterior car wash, go for it - I've been going here over 10 years and they do a great job. But I went to get the inside cleaned, and they did a terrible job. They used so much water for the shampoo and didn't get all the water out, it went under the floor boards, into the wells of the car, into the electrical system and completely ruined all of my electric. The damage was so bad, that it was not repairable and the car was essentially totaled (with regard to what it was worth and the repair $$ necessary). Yes, in the world's tiniest font on the invoice you sign, it says "We're not responsible for any electrical damage"....but that's to be expected from a car wash....they operate in water! But I never expected it to be such careless work done with no remorse after I found out what happened and I asked if it could be remedied - all they did was say, oh sorry get a de-humidifier and put in your garage overnight. I called the manager afterwards to discuss again and no response, no call back. It's safe to say that I won't ever get an interior service again, and strongly suggest you don't either. read more

Buyer beware! Don't be fooled by any positive reviews or the notion that they have different tiers of services--they don't. Regardless of the service package you choose, everyone gets the same type of basic wash/interior vacuum--and it's not a very good one at that. It's never, ever, worth it to purchase anything but the standard wash here and honestly, I would just by-pass the place all together. They descend on your car, say nothing to you, and you're in and out in under 10 minutes with debris and dirt still on your car. I paid for the ultimate wash (understanding totally that's it's not a detail but just a good scrub down) which includes the trunk and door jams. I placed my dog's carseat in the trunk so it would be out of their way while vacuuming the backseat, thinking they'd just put it back when they moved to the trunk. The owner/manager used that as an excuse to not touch the trunk and only told me after I had paid that they don't do "full" trunks (it wasn't full). Even in the millisecond that we were there, I saw two people come to pick up cars after detailing and let's just say... they weren't pleased. I had to beg them to dry the mats they left covered in water. And they to top other off they forgot my scent! Lol It's only a $20-$30 service but honestly it's like throwing that money in the garbage. So just go somewhere else. read more

Bring cash or you can pay ATM fees to use their ATM. Come when the line is not too long, like 30 min to an hour before closing or during middle of the week and the washing team will do a great job when they're not under pressure to get the car washed as quickly as possible with a long line of cars behind them waiting to be hand washed. For just a few dollars more than full-all out automated wash joints, the basic hand-wash cleaning package is better for your paint and also includes wiping down the interior, vacuuming and washing your floor mats. So this is a great value while you wait 20-ish minutes for your car to be cleaned. I apply wax and Rain-X on the car myself after the car wash since it is quite a bit more cost to get the hand applied wax and Rain-X applied. My car will be on its last breath of life before taking it to Norwood Hand Car Wash and detailing. It's a brand new car after I've taken it for a wash . The service is impeccable; as well as the owners and staff. I have stupidly dragged a curb under my car in the back lot, and the staff was so quick to rush outside and physically lift and jack my car to remove the ginormous curb that was stuck under. It shaved a few years of my life from embarrassment, but the kindness shown from George and Poli makes it worth showing face there again. The drive is always worth making for a top notch service. I went to get a car wash this morning, and I asked him not to vacuum because it was already cleaned and they still vacuumed. Messed up my floor mats and I told him to do the inside of the windows which actually looked like they just wiped their behind. I had to do it myself. I will never never ever return to that Car Wash again they just don't follow directions. What's so hard about not touching the floor mats and the windows. They were smudged. I had to do it myself. They're lucky I'm giving them any stars. I will not recommend them to anybody. read more

I have been coming here for about 2 years now and I've never had a problem. Funny, I found this place on accident and I was pleased from my very first visit. They always do a great job when I go, I cant speak for others cause it seems like other ppl experience something else? I also like how they use a punch card system! I can tell the workers know me because they always smile and greet me. There was a period where I didn't go for while then when I returned, one of the owners noticed she hadn't seen me in a while. Showed me they actually pay attention to their customers. I switch off between their basic and super washes, depending how dirty my car is. I'm not complaining about their prices, even with the recent increase. I think their prices are reasonable here because I've gone to other reputable car washes and they charge $23-25 for an SUV. So I'm not complaining. Small annoyances: when they clean the inside, they've knocked down my I-pass on multiple occasions so its just annoying having to re-tape it back up. Sometimes, they leave residue behind from whatever cleaner they use. I have weather tech mats so I leave my regular mats in my trunk. They cleaned off my old mats for me without even asking them too! Today 5/09/2022 and they still don't accept credit cards for payment. I told the guy this an inconvenience for customers. The guy handling the cash register said that it's not him, he can't do nothing about it, it's management. I told him to mention to his manager that customers are not happy not being able to pay with a credit card, but the guy didn't care and was very rude handling my complaint. Had that mentality of if you don't like it you can go somewhere else. I think I am going to start going somewhere else. Been coming here for years, was just hoping that maybe they changed today. This is the most thorough hand wash on the Northside. These guys always leave the car clean and fresh, no streaks, shiny interior. A wash this thorough does take some time so be sure you've got 30-45 minutes, especially if there's a line. They treat you right in the waiting room though, tv, books for the kids, and comfy chairs. read more

I ACCIDENTALLY POSTED TO THE WRONG LOCATION,THIS POST IS FOR THE LOCATION AT CLARK, RIDGE AND ELMWOOD. If I was able to give it a negative rating, I would. I have a Audi with 31,000 miles and was in pristine condition with a ceramic coating applied, it was like looking in a mirror. I went on a road trip to New Mexico, Florida and back. The car had many bugs and road dirt inthe grill, bumper (I also washed the car 3 times during the trip). I took it to them and asked for a deep clean wash detail only. They had the car for a day and a half and when I picked it up my jaw hit the floor...as they destroyed the finish! There were buffing swirl marks all over the car, which I didn't want car buffed being the car due to the applied acrylic finish, there was wax left on all of the rubber weather stripping, in the edges and on the textured black trim pieces. But the worst thing was that while buffing the car they burnt through the acrylic coating leaving strips of dull patches all over. Wheels and front bumper and grill weren't thoroughly clean leaving bugs and dirt behind and waxed over. When I brought this to the managers attention, he said "what do you expect for $275!" I then had to take the car to another detail shop to be properly detailed removing all of the left-over wax, remove the damaged acrylic finish and replied, the paint on the hood was so damaged it had to be repainted. This all cost me $1,400.00 dollars. I called the manager informing him the extent of work and cost to repair the finish. His response was "I'm glad your now happy with your car" I would NEVER suggest anyone to bring their car there for anything thing. read more

I used to love coming to Norwood Carwash. The management staff was friendly and reasonable. A few years ago, things started to change. First the woman who began running the cash register (appeared to be the manager) started being really pushy about insisting on cash when it was clear they could run credit cards. I watched her straight-up lie to people about this. She tried to lie to me once about it until I called her bluff and told her to just forget about washing my car. Since then, it has only become worse. Zero interest in customer service. It's too bad because the guys who wash the cars do a great job. But last time was it for me. Edited to note: It was on a recent visit that we found the employees appeared to be demoralized and frustrated. Yelling does not reflect good management skills. And we noted that getting cash exclusively to pay for a wash was a pretty ridiculous undertaking. Who actually changes over to being cash only in the 21st century? This place. Well at least they're not just pretending to not take credit cards as they were when it first started going downhill. read more

Everything is done in a hurry and the car is not cleaned throughly! On my last visit, even though, I paid for the ultimate wash, they left stains on the dashboard, console were not conditioned as advertised in the price, and the screen was not even touched! They have not included the the air freshener that comes with number 3 after asking them to. I paid $28.00 bucks and had to come home and vacuum my trunk and wash the leaves out of the trunk grooves and wiper compartment. Not a good service! I've been going to Norwood for ages. They do a nice job. It's not always perfect, but my car leaves A LOT cleaner than when it came in to the facility. This time my car was way overdue for a wash and vacuum due to lots of rain and just being busy. I was disappointed the 'early bird' offer was gone since I went today at 9 AM, but such is life. Norwood on Damen will always be my go-to for my car washes. They were quick, friendly, and I can see out of my windows better now Oh, and I see others complaining that the business is cash only.
