I had DJ Dominick, MC PJ, and Xander for Photobooth. Dominick's music was INCREDIBLE... he played every single song I asked for, timed all the music perfectly, and kept the party going all night... it was truly banger after banger. The crowd loved it and so did I. PJ was also an absolutely fantastic MC. He was so fun and really did a great job engaging the crowd to keep everyone partying all night! He did great job communicating with me about the schedule for the night too! Overall a 10/10 experience working with Tommy's Tunes. I personally feel that the music and overall DJ experience really either makes or breaks a party and everyone I spoke to told me that this was one of the best weddings they've ever gone to, and I owe it all to Dominick, PJ, and Xander!

MC Mike L was personable; however, didn't try to be the star of the show. Put all the focus on the bride/groom and guests. Music volume was just load enough without taking away from the table conversations. Overall, a very positive experience - would most definitely recommend Tommy's Tunes for your next party.

This festival is geared toward kids and family fun! Pictures with Santa, roasting marshmallows, and ice skating. The Village Center was the site for the "Festival of Trees". Local business themed Christmas trees all decorated for the season. Vendors of all kinds set up their wares here as well as in various locations throughout the village. The highlight of the event are the performers who are dressed up in 19th century Victorian era costumes. Some are stationed at various points, giving out directions. Others are meandering around the village spreading Christmas cheer, "Happy Christmas to you both!" Many stop to talk to and take pictures with the children and their families. We heard they parade down Main Street and stop at the lighting of the Christmas tree. Both activities which I missed...no doubt buying something from a vendor! The weather was unusually balmy for December. It did not take away at all from the cheery Christmas feel. I wish I had known about this event when my children were younger, I definitely would have visited with them. Truth be told, Christmas is my favorite holiday! I had a wonderful time... I guess I'm just a kid at heart

Then, I'd take the family to see A Christmas Carol at the theater. The street actors performed the play both forwards and backwards! Times were simpler then. The town allowed a roaring fire on Main St and provided sticks for the kids to roast marshmallows. This was my little town and we looked forward to this weekend. From the horse drawn carriages coming down Main St into port, it truly was an entertaining experience. Fast forward to 2019. From Newsday to News12 all saying come to Port Jefferson and experience the Dickens festival! Really? Over the years, I have seen people getting dressed like the characters?! On Saturday I run errands. I like to come into Port Jefferson and grab a specialty coffee at Starbucks. Starbucks during this weekend is slammed with tweens and parents drinking frappachinos. Parking? Forget about it, every spot is taken. Port Jefferson is a mad house with people trying to get a free marshmallow..... And why do you folks feel the need to get dressed like a Chimmey Sweep?? Dudes... really?? I'm knocking off a star. What was once nice memories are now dread when I get my coffee and dry cleaning. Nothing to see here folks, go to Sayville...

We were extremely excited to have front row seats to see KC and the Sunshine Band on Friday August…read more29, 2025. I had never been to this venue but, heard a few negative things about it. I have to report that the negatives are absolutely true! Take note, this review is for the VENUE, not the performers. Start: The parking fee is $20. As you enter there is a sign that states among other things..NO TAILGATING. What's the first thing we see? People tailgating. And not just tailgating but taking up parking spots while doing it! So we had to pass up perfectly good parking spaces because people were not following the rules. And no one from the venue seemed to be enforcing that rule anyway. We found our seats, without much help from the usher we asked..."go down this way and look for your number." We had seats #10 and #12, side by side. When I sat in seat #12 and leaned back, I knew something was wrong immediately. The seat back and subsequently the bolt holding the seat back were broken. The entire row is connected together. I guess I should be grateful for that. Because had it not been, I could have fallen completely backwards. We notified another usher who came over to look at it. After he failed to send someone in authority over, we asked another usher. Finally someone came over, not sure who but told us to simply "move down one chair to the right". There was another couple seated to our right who was gracious enough to work with us. This "solution " worked fine until other first row ticket holders arrived and found someone in their seats. Now, more workers arrived and their "solution" was to ask us to skip the broken seat and sit on either side of it. Really? We paid for two seats side by side. And now because of the venue's carelessness, you're asking us to be inconvenienced? When my partner asked how was we going to be compensated for said inconvenience, all the people including the patrons who arrived for the show....disappeared. I'm not sure what was worse...the smell of marijuana smoke permeating the air, the drunken patrons (who had seats in the back) trying to sit in the front row or the security personnel who were on either side of the stage seeing the constant traffic back and forth and doing absolutely nothing about it. But, made sure they told us not to stand up and block the view! Finish: KC and The Sunshine Band put on a hell of a show! From the opening act Bobby Wilson, to the last encore...the show was high energy! As great as the show was if they ever perform here again, I will not return. It's a shame that a high quality act head lined in this dump.

Security detail didn't appear to have rhyme or reason as to who they checked for what on the way in and who they let file out and when afterward. Traveling back north on CR 83 was blocked off so we went south to circle back. Seats are tight and one in front of us was missing the backing. Stairs were awkward, old and overly spread out. Place really needs a refresh. Maybe invest the money collected for parking and at the very least sweep up all the broken glass in the lot. Won't be returning anytime soon.
