Ruggero's: A Taste of Heavenly Cavatelli…read more My wife and I recently returned to Ruggero's specifically so I could enjoy their homemade cavatelli in a Bolognese sauce. We started with the fried calamari, which were delicious. The service was a highlight of our visit. Our waitress was not only lovely and helpful but also ensured our drinks arrived promptly and with a smile. When I requested a plain marinara Bolognese, the accommodation was made without a problem, which speaks volumes about the kitchen's flexibility and the staff's dedication. Did I say that the service is excellent? The restaurant itself is large and clearly a popular venue--a wedding was hosted during our dinner, and the music was on the loud side. For those looking for value, the portion to price ratio here is great, a quality that extends to their lunch menu as well. Pro-Tip: If you're in the mood for pasta, consider going on a "Pasta Night" (Monday or Tuesday) for a good deal. Parking is available, though there is a short walk from the lot to the entrance. Ruggero's provides excellent service, great value, and fantastic pasta. I highly recommend it.

The food is consistently delicious, well-prepared, and clearly made with quality ingredients. The service is friendly and attentive without being rushed, and the prices are very reasonable for the portion sizes and quality you get. Whether I'm dining in or taking food to go, it's always a great experience. Definitely a place I keep coming back to and highly recommend.

We were told that Watermark was five minutes away, and people liked it. We verified that in Yelp, and sure enough, let's go. This is not the sort of place you'd find by accident - on a minor coastal road and pretty much off by itself. The parking lot was so packed that we had to give up on it and park on the road. We were told that there would be a slight delay for a table, but seeing the enthusiastic crowd, we figured it might be worth it. It was. We got a really great roomy table, and our server was a gem. Looking back over the reviews here, we got their star quarterback in Connor, who sat down at a spare chair and talked to us about what to eat. Within two minutes, we were old friends. I'm a big fan of originality in menus, and they had it to spare. I ended up with the fried chicken sandwich and Donna had the Left Coast sandwich. Ham turkey and swiss on crainberry bread. They were both delicious and too much for one sitting. Connor even offered to wrap my mayo. The vibe was enthusiastic but not horribly loud, the food was unifromly great and the service was superior. We now have a go-to place in the Riverhead area.

My friend's chicken sandwich was dry and nothing special. My crab cake sandwich had absolutely NO crab in it. None at all. It was a fried bread patty. I could not eat it. I asked for water because we were not given any and we never got it. I even watched the server fill her personal water bottle right in front of us. This place is in need of major improvements. Avoid

To the guy who is working the registers right now,…read more Perhaps you shouldn't talk shit about your customers when they are within earshot. I had my wife pick up beer on the way home from work, and I made sure she checked the date code on the bottom of the can, because when you're paying almost $30 for a 4 pack of beer, you should check to make sure it hasn't been sitting on the shelf for months. So your condescending comments about people checking the date codes (specifically on the brand of craft beer she was purchasing), and that they don't even know what they're looking at, are unnecessary and unappreciated. It would be one thing if you were trying to offer guidance (which there would be no guidance to offer about checking date codes, aside from "you should be checking date codes") but you were just being a dick. I guess you have 2 less customers to worry about checking date codes now.

When we entered the store, I asked the sales clerk if it was "Thrifty", and she said, "A hundred years ago." I laughed that off, but as we were looking for beer to purchase I noticed that no prices were posted anywhere for any of the beers. When I asked the sales clerk why she rudely said, "Our regular customers know this and that's how it's been." We obviously were not her regular customers. This establishment gets one star only for its craft beer selection. The female sales clerk needs lessons on how to be polite and respect the questions of those who are not the "regulars" or she should be fired if she can't change her attitude.
