i've been going here years and have absolutely loved it everytime. but went here to see the new scary movie. when the movie started i realized i was being dripped on by the ceiling. i didn't think it was that bad so i was going to sit through it hoping it would stop. within about 15 minutes it was dripping on me nonstop and was now dripping on the person a next to me and had gotten my sweatshirt soaked. so we both had gone up to the desk while the movie was playing to see if there was anything they could do. they offered to just move us down a seat which still meant one of us was going to be rained on. but they wouldn't offer a refund they said we could only leave and reschedule our tickets or move down a seat. but we had other people with us so we couldn't just leave. was definitely disappointed they weren't willing to work with us at all. we ended up sharing a seat. the seat that was getting the least amount of rain. hopefully they go it fixed and learn to work with people better read more

Overall my experiences here have been pretty good. The theatre rooms and bathrooms are decently clean. Only recently I started eating the popcorn there which both times has been stale for me. To be fair, I do go late in the evening, but twice starts to build a rep that the popcorn isn't good. On Wednesday, March 27th, my husband and I attended a movie at Emagine Novi. We ordered a pizza that was never delivered to our seats. Because we didn't want to miss part of the movie, we decided to wait until the film was over to request a refund. When the movie ended, there were no staff members available at the concession desk, ticket booth, or anywhere else in the theater. We waited but no one appeared, so we kept our receipt and planned to resolve the matter later. When I later called the theater, I spoke with Kevin, who identified himself as the manager. I explained that I still had my receipt and that I simply wanted the pizza we had paid for or a refund. Kevin was dismissive, condescending, and rude. He told me that because I had not called the next day, he could not verify my "claim" and refused to provide a solution. When I mentioned that we already had tickets for another show and could just receive the pizza then, he declined. I asked about refunding my tickets, and he told me to "go online." This situation is not about the $12 pizza--it is about customer service. My husband and I spend hundreds of dollars at this theater each month, and to be treated this way after years of loyalty was unacceptable. The lack of staff available after the movie and the manager's dismissive behavior left me thoroughly dissatisfied. I am requesting that this issue be addressed, and that Emagine Novi provide better customer service training to ensure patrons are treated with respect. read more

The movie we were interested in seeing wasn't playing at our regular theater that was closer so we came here. It was a bit of a walk from even the closest parking. Tickets were sold through a kiosk and for specific seats and then we went to concessions for popcorn and a drink. The seats were comfortable and reclineable with built in cup holders. Picture and sound were good as expected. After the movie finished, we took the long walk to where our car was parked and went home. read more

Something I used to love about Emagine is that it's a fun place to enter and explore. I love all the movie posters and cool features, but I was caught off guard when there was suddenly someone at the door checking us for tickets. Now, this isn't me ridiculing this extra layer of security, but as I was waiting for my movie time to get closer, I was looking at movie posters when I was confronted twice, by someone asking if I had a movie ticket. This, in a way, ruined that sparkle Emagine had, but that isn't to say that the movies presented in the theatres are below par. They are quite good, but I will say the squeaking recliners ruined the movie experience, it sounds as if fart machines are instilled into the chairs. They are in need of an upgrade. I hope that I am able to visit again and am confronted with a better experience, but just a few things. Please keep it a place where people can have a good time, and don't change it to such a strict and bland environment. read more

I think about 10 feet long and 8 feet from the machines. This will give people a place to put their popcorn down and put lids on their drinks. Because of Emily- at the bar, I am right now NOT viewing a premier movie which i awaited anxiously! I am 62 years old - clearly there to see a movie - no wallet and such - but $15 - cash. They couldn't get together behind the bar on the price of the drink. Did I mention that Emily is the manager?? I feel irritated right now because I told her that she was being condescending not in requiring an i.d. but in her tone - after that lengthy conversation about the price. She said she was being nice and I told her I didn't feel the same way. A cop later told me that the theater had asked me to leave - which was untrue. -***He changed changed his story 3 times as i walked peacefully out of the theater. I disagree with the conduct and handling in their part- of a mildly excited movie attendee - waiting 28 years for this movie!! Ps. As I look now that I issue stars to this establishment - to show my righteous intention - i notice that it says my experience at the establishment - I have to say that I am rating THIS experience. Emily did not execute managerial expertise- she exhibited butt-hurt behavior. I acquiesced to her passive- aggressive behavior, and left. She was mistaken in this instance. Saw Wicked last night with family. Great movie, horrible distorted audio, which ruined my movie experience. My Apple Watch has noise level measured in DB and most of the movie measured 89 db noise. Too much vibrating bass and some hard to understand voices. Much distortion. Their volume was set way too high. read more

I love being able to order ahead and delivery at your seats while you enjoy tht movie.the only downside at this location was they didn't have a Barbie prop for photos . Went to go see a movie tonight. The movie was at 8:15 and me and my friend got there 15 minutes late. We assumed that we could just get our tickets when we got there. When we got to the movies at 8:30 the doors were locked. We assumed it was because of their curfew and thought we would have no problems because we're 21. Some movie goers leaving let us in because we were completely ignored. They let us know that they closed early tonight because of a staff party. That's completely ok but the fact that there were no signs posted and nothing on the website is what was upsetting. I also saw multiple other people leaving the movies because they were locked out. Also a little confused because what if tickets had been purchased and someone got there late? Just poor management and planning on their end. read more

We travel 30-40 minutes or more to get to this location for the IMAX theatre. Every time, over 5 years now, I find this location lacking in picking up during customer attendance. Bathrooms are full of paper towel and toilet paper. The floors wet from use. The garbage bins cans literally over flowing during/after the end of a busy movie. No attendant to GE see. I have never observed anyone monitoring the drink stations nor paying attention to the onset of compiled items dropped on the floor by those less than considerate in bothering to pick up after themselves, then add the absence of adequate trash bins:napkins, popcorn, pretzel pieces, fries,candy,straws..... When you attend a later show say 7pm the location looks like the aftermath of a messy party but in reality they are open for business with customers standing in line or walking over popcorn/kicking their way through trash on the floor in the walk ways. Oh my the bathrooms. I know it is not staff making this mess,however, it appears a team of staff is needed to monitor the premises? It is a large establishment and I don't know of even one manager can make up for the lack of/or possibly less than ambitious cleaning staff. My heart goes out to you if this is from being short staffed. The time necessary to clean up after a busy show takes time. Even if the inside of the show is cleaned after being left an absolute mess the outside adds to that teams time taken. There were no large bins available outside after Transformers. The small waist area was over flowing into the floor with soda, food and paper items. I have not observed staff "specifically" stationed at the soda area/bathrooms/nor generally used areas. Most days I see the need for someone, but see no one continuously vacuuming the general area,counter line areas, wiping down furniture from stray buttery popcorn.....Staff at the counters and check out are amazing but can not leave their post**** Thank you fir listening. read more

It tastes great and I feel like I'm doing something a little more healthy. First the good, and honestly there are many. I love the popcorn here! For only $7 you can get a refillable medium and choose from regular, cheese, caramel, and poppin olive. I usually get all four mixed together. In the past the popcorn flavor powders were extra, but now you can use them free of charge to customize your popcorn. The popcorn is typically fresh and delicious. The kids love the combo freestyle pop machine and frozen drinks. My daughter calls the combo a plurpee instead of slurpee. They also adore the food here. They order the pizzas, which are a nice size, and comparable price to CPK, plus they bring it to your seat on a tray that fits in the cup holder. The fries are also tasty. I'd like to try their pretzels. The seats are comfortable and relaxing. I really enjoy my movie watching experience here, and I do see a lot of movies in general! The staff at customer service was also very nice and understanding when I had an issue with my tickets and the rewards point system. They were able to quickly resolve it. The negative...I love the convenience of buying my tickets online but this theater charges a service fee unless you pay for their rewards upgrade! Since I do see dozens of movies a year and always buy goodies at the concessions I find it a waste to pay more for a rewards card. The fee used to be a dollar a ticket but recently went up to $1.25 a ticket. I also had a hard time redeeming my free ticket online and had to do it at the service desk, no big deal. There are other theaters that I frequent that do not charge a fee, but I like the snack and experience offerings here, so maybe they will rethink the online fee in the future. read more

Theater was clean and nice. But the casher at concession wasn't smart. My daughter hand him 50 dollars to buy popcorn and got little bit of change so I looked at receipt and it was typed as 20 dollars cash instead 50. So I went back and told him to give us proper change. He apologized and acted quickly but then he handed me a wrong change amount again. It was only 6 dollars difference and long line behind me so I didn't say anything after that but oh my god , .. Please hire someone can read numbers , simple math and hand out proper changes. OK, so I'm a reward member I come to the movies sometimes 2 to 3 times a week. I just purchased $87 worth of sonic items and I purchased three movie tickets for Sunday SUPER EMAX ! I thought I could get three of the posters I was told by the manager upfront that it has to be for the fan event ONLY Wasn't aware of that thought I just needed to purchase tickets. Ever if I'm buying tickets for Sunday, I would still consider myself a " FAN "also I asked could I see the poster to see if it would BE better for to me just purchasing another ticket for today to get the keychain and the poster. Emagine Theaters is the best movie theater chain in Michigan and the Midwest! It, as any who has gone to see a movie at Emagine knows, was founded in Michigan (Clarkston!) by CEO & chairman Paul Glantz! (He welcomes you to Emagine before every movie plays!) It has now expanded its locations throughout all of Michigan and the Midwest, and I couldn't be more proud of this little company that could! Emagine is focused on the customer's experience firstly and is truly everything you're looking for in a movie theater: reserved seating, chairs that RECLINE, ARE ROOMY, AND HEAT UP (if you want!), concessions delivered straight to your seat, a bar to purchase alcohol from, IMAX screens (they're called EMAX here!), $5 movie Tuesdays (with free popcorn if you enroll in their FREE loyalty program), and that's just to name a few! If you live anywhere within the metro Detroit area, there is probably an Emagine located not too far away from you. If that's the case then trust me, it's worth the drive. I average watching 70 movies a year in theaters, and I almost exclusively only watch them at Emagine because they are just that great. You will never have a better movie-going experience than when you're at Emagine Entertainment! Emagine Novi, specifically, is a great and unique theater. Firstly, the location at West Oaks, across the street from Twelve Oaks, is really great. Emagine Novi is situated within a whole extended building complex of shops as well that didn't fit into Twelve Oaks. This is a great middle ground for my friends and I to gather at and there's tons to do before and after a movie too, other than the tons of shopping you can already do here! There's a trampoline park, indoor mini golf, escape rooms - the list goes on! Definitely a very family-friendly spot to watch movies, so definitely expect that at any given time, there will always be a ton of people at Emagine Novi. It works out though because Emagine Novi is MASSIVE! Probably one of the bigger ones if not the BIGGEST one out of all the Emagine's, which makes it very suitable to contain the first SUPER EMAX screen - the largest IMAX screen in all of Michigan! This Super EMAX screen was installed a few years ago (the first movie I saw on this massive screen was Alita: Battle Angel in 2019) and it truly humbles me every time I walk into the theater. It is markedly so much bigger than the EMAX screens they have at basically every Emagine location at this point, which always gets me so excited! If there's ever a very cinematic/action-based movie you're super looking forward to seeing, I'd highly recommend watching it on the Super EMAX screen! Everyone needs to try this out at least once to bask in its glory! You would think the pricing here would be super expensive too, right? Well, you'd be wrong. My friends and I just watched Dune in Super EMAX here over the weekend. It was Saturday of opening weekend and we booked tickets for a 3:45 (matinee) showing. This is one of my favorite theatres. It's as state of the art as you can currently get in Michigan. It's well maintained and they have some comfy electric reclining large leather chairs. The screens are the real draw for me as the Emax and Super Emax is full range of view and intense on the sound but it's not just movie noise blasting, it's a quality sound that is second to none as far as MI theatres go. They have this great thing for $5 movies on Tuesdays and if you get signed up for their free membership you also get a free small popcorn. read more

This is a meeting place for a friend and I - the only reason we come here (no other theater around). Been here before and I don't like the popcorn. So I got pretzel bites; and those were just "eh." I exceed the age limit by QUITE a bit, and any person with two brain cells would notice. However I wasn't able to go see my movie that I payed for. I was stopped at the door by a rude little mad with glasses and brown curly hair. I left my ID in the car so he didn't let me through. Thank god for this sweet old man at the ticket buying station to let me in, he had two brain cells unlike the other weasel. If you look 25 or younger you better bring that ID. Watched the latest Jurrasic Park movie at this location. The Dolby system of the theater makes the thumping of the dinosaurs sound so real. The 92 feet projection screen was clear enough to make me feel like I'm in the movie. The leather reclining seats were so comfy. It's only a touch of a button to move the leg rest up or down. Although I wished the seats were a few inches apart so I don't have to smell the feet of the person on my left side ;-( Or close enough to let them here me munching the popcorn ;-) Its a no win situation. Parking was easy. Being a first-timer, I felt lost because it took me a while to figure out the way to the main entrance of the theater. Awkward lay-out of the building. Walking inside , I was greeted by a theater staff...nice! From where she is standing, you can purchase a ticket by simply navigating your way in the touchscreen monitor. If you want to make it real? You can approach a cashier to pay for ticket, popcorn and drinks. I downloaded and sign up for their app... redeemed the free popcorn right away. Small soda cost 5, medium 5.5 and large is 6. So I came here on a date night. And it was nice that they had the cuddle seats upfront in the theater. My husband and I liked them it was like being on a small loveseat with an ottoman. The food was good and the concession stand was nice. The problem came after the movie. I went to the women's restroom and was shocked. I saw everything from trails of toilet paper on the floor to a bathroom stall that had a slip hazard warning sign laying across the toilet that was out of order. I was really shocked. I'm not sure what the schedule is for cleaning, but it looked as though it had been cleaned all day. I was really surprised and struggled to find a bathroom to use. It will probably be a while before I come back to this location specifically because of that. read more

I've only been to the Emagine in Royal Oak about 3-4 times. I must say that I really enjoyed this location. The theatre building is huge. We walked in and a lady asked us what we were buying. We told her that we came for an event, and she directed us to which theatre. Tuesday are free small popcorn for rewards members, which is pretty awesome considering the size is pretty big. Their popcorn was not too salty and tasted fresh. I loved how big the theatre was and the confy recliners. The sound was amazing. It felt like the floor was shaking for a bit too. We watched Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom. I loved it. I felt so comfortable and relaxed, which is much needed after a long day of work. Tickets are a bit more expensive during the later shows. For those that like to come earlier, they do sell tickets cheaper during the day. Also, I'd like to add how great it is that they have the malls right there. You can walk around before or after a movie. read more

Every worker was nice, there was a tall guy with back eye glasses that was super great and chatty ! He helped us find our theater room. (Alita at 8:50 on Friday 15) I haven't been to this theater in a super long time... so the popcorn line/set up was a disaster for me ... to many people and I didn't even know where to go ..... but got everything at the end. (I normally go to canton where they have the old fashion lines ) -the bread on the hot dog was soggy (we got two and they were both the same ... so sad.
