First walking through the door it was so elegant and spacious. They had multiple televisions for sports, weather and entertainment. The dinner last call was until 9:45pm which was awesome because we had just came back from Anna Marie Island which worked up an appetite. We ordered crab cakes for appetizers but I think due to it being so late the gentleman forgot the order which was fine so we ordered a Peach Margarita which was quite well but just request for lite ice. The shrimp was large and decorated on the top of the linguine noodles. Now it does a red pepper flakes all through it even though it's not mentioned on the menu. The noodles could have been cooked a little tad more but it was delicious through it all. The waiter was very busy but still took time to come and check on us from time to time. The hotel itself was miraculous located downtown area. You can see the water which is right across the street but because of us having a Penthouse the view and seeing the sunset made it more elegant than ever. If you're in this area and need somewhere to stay I definitely recommend this hotel. You will fall in love with all the amenities on the 8th floor. This was my second stay at this hotel. I absolutely love the location , very walkable, nice restaurants and close to the marina . And only 15 min drive to Siesta Key beach. The hotel itself is overpriced in my opinion. There are "destination" fees of $28/ day but you can use it as a credit in their restaurant. Make sure you use it because you will be charged either way. Pet fee was $75, my pup loved the room and going on walks nearby but there wasn't a designated pet relief area which would've been nice for night time . However the area is extremely walkable. Parking was about $40 / night I think but we parked on the street for free. Breakfast is included and their buffet is decent. Be sure to get your omelette made to order by Rayna. Also, make sure you don't miss their nightly reception hour with two free drinks and light snacks. The rooms are large and are your typical embassy suite with kitchenette area and living room. Beds were super comfy and the shower was nice and hot. All of the staff was very friendly and super accommodating. I wish the pool was heated or they had a hot tub because it is absolutely gorgeous but too cold during my stay. All in all, a great choice for the area! I would definitely stay again but I would be sure to price around because there are quite a few hotels in the area. read more

I am very disappointed with my stay at Embassy Suites by Hilton Sarasota. My family and I reserved a room with two queen beds well ahead of our arrival because we are a family of four and wanted everyone to have a comfortable place to sleep. When we checked in, we were told that the room type we had booked was no longer available. Instead, we were offered a room with one king bed and a sofa bed. After several discussions involving American Express Travel and hotel staff, the hotel provided a rollaway twin bed as a temporary solution. Unfortunately, the sofa bed was in very poor condition and extremely uncomfortable, making it unsuitable for anyone to sleep on. When I asked if another rollaway bed could be provided, I was told that it was not possible due to fire safety regulations. As a result, one child had to sleep with us in the king bed while the other used the rollaway bed. This was not the sleeping arrangement we paid for, and it made for a very uncomfortable night for the entire family. The room itself presented additional issues. We were placed in an accessible room, and the shower allowed water to spread throughout the bathroom floor, creating a mess and a potential safety concern. There was also a persistent unpleasant odor in the room, including a smell resembling urine, and at night we noticed additional foul odors that made the stay even less enjoyable. What frustrated me most was that despite booking in advance, the hotel was unable to provide the room type that had been confirmed. While I appreciate the staff's efforts to find a solution, the accommodations ultimately did not meet the needs of my family or the expectations associated with a Hilton property. Overall, this stay was disappointing and stressful. I hope management takes steps to improve both room assignment procedures and room quality so that future guests do not encounter the same issues. read more

The room was clean and the bay view was great to see in the morning. Parking is expensive but there is limited parking in the area. Everything is always clean. There is an onside laundry facility and you can get access to soo many things in the area. Free breakfast in the morning but it gets really crowded and there needs to be a worker from management there to help facilitate the crowd. 7 mins from lido beach and about 25 to siesta key. Just be ready to spend about $40 a night for parking. If you don't book through Hilton you will probably have to pay the $25 resort fee separately. read more

Good Stay Overall -- A Few Things to Know We stayed at the Embassy Suites Sarasota and overall had a good experience, but there are a few things to be aware of. The rooms are spacious and clean, but the AC could use an upgrade -- even set to 64 degrees, the room never really cooled down. The elevators are also painfully slow; we waited 5 minutes or more each time. One frustrating thing: the website says you get a $28 daily meal credit, but at checkout they only gave us $25. Not a huge difference, but it feels misleading -- and the staff just said "it's $25" when we asked. The views are decent but partly blocked by the Westin and Ritz nearby. That said, the location is good and the rooms themselves are comfortable. The restaurant and service are fine -- nothing special but not bad either. I booked a room online for $150.29 (I have the email receipt confirmation indicating such). The night before I checked in online and requested a digital key. When I arrived in Sarasota, I was informed that the room was ready and gave me the digital key. When I checked out, I received the bill indicating the room rate was $388.47. I showed them my confirmation, but the manager said they would not honor the rate I was quoted online and it was an error. I was never told before I checked in that the rate would not be honored. This is the worst case of bate and switch I've ever seen. I am a Hilton Honors Diamond member with over 6million HH points, so I am one of Hiltons best customers. I will be taking this up with Hilton corporate, and disputing the charge on my Amex, but this is one of those completely unacceptable things I've run across staying at a Hilton property. I would never stay there again, nor would I recommend anyone staying there. There are many other choices. read more

We arrived and entered our room to see a used bar of soap that had hair on it. There was no apology about it. There was a resort fee attached to the room each day but it wasn't mentioned during check in. When I asked about it 2 days later, there was no accommodation to help us use the previous credits we weren't told about. Very disappointed in how this hotel was managed. The restaurant was great! I stayed here a couple weeks ago and had a wonderful stay! Because I had a busy itinerary, I was unable to get all of this hotel but I can share what I did get to experience! FREE BREAKFAST: Breakfast is located in the 8th floor of the hotel from 6:30-9:30a. Super yummy! They have a ready to make omelet section that was really good. And of course other hot favorites : potatoes, sausage, bacon, French toast, eggs, and all the other dried and sweet items. Really great amenity! ROOM: VERY spacious and clean! I received fresh linens daily. The toiletries smelled really good. I did wish there was a liquid bath soap instead of the bar. They do include shampoo, conditioner, and lotion! My room came with a fridge, microwave, and coffee/tea maker. The view was absolutely stunning from the 15th floor of the city! One of my favorite things of this stay. LOCATION: This hotel is right in the middle of Sarasota! It is within walking distance of lots of shops, eateries, and city favorites like The Bay and the Van Wezel Performing ArtsHall. It's also within a short distance of the beautiful Ringling and Siesta Key beaches (quartz sand ). I used transportation services, so so can't speak to parking. I do know there's valet and a garage within the hotel. In all, I had a great stay and I can't thank the staff enough for making it a pleasant one! read more

2/5 - Great Hotel Stay, But the Restaurant Was a Major Disappointment My wife and I stayed at the Embassy Suites Sarasota (Hilton) for a date night after a Halloween event in the area. The hotel side of the experience was excellent - clean room, great view, friendly staff, and overall exactly what you'd expect from a Hilton property. Unfortunately, the on-site restaurant was the complete opposite. I ordered the fish & chips (cod), and it was literally impossible to eat. The crust was seasoned well, but the fish inside was so tough and rubbery that I couldn't even cut through it with a knife. It tasted like frozen fish that had been rushed in hot water instead of properly thawed or cooked. Definitely not the light, flaky cod you expect anywhere - and especially not in Florida, where fresh seafood should be a highlight. When I sent it back, the server casually mentioned mine was the third plate of fish & chips returned that night. That alone says there's a serious quality-control issue. If a dish is being sent back multiple times in one evening, it should be pulled from the menu immediately, not served again. Because we were short on time, I didn't reorder - which meant I ended up going to an event with no dinner, and by the time we were done, everywhere else was closed. Not exactly how you expect a Hilton restaurant meal to go. What was good: * Hotel staff & service * Room quality * Chicken sandwich was actually very good What went wrong: * Fish & chips were inedible * Kitchen kept serving a dish they already knew was a problem * No explanation, no offer of a replacement meal I could take with me, no comp * Completely ruined the dinner part of our date night If I were a tourist, I would've left thinking this is what Florida seafood is like - and that's just not true. This was the worst experience in a hotel my family has ever had. There was a loud hissing sound coming from in the walls all night long which made it difficult to fall asleep, woke us up constantly, and kept us up. When brought to the hotel's attention before our second night the engineer came and informed us that they'd had complaints about it, and moving rooms wouldn't necessarily solve the issue. After the third night we complained about it again and they offered to move us again, but wouldn't assure us that the issue wouldn't be in the other room. We checked out after 3 of 5 nights, but after checkout time (so they tried to charge us for the 4th night). It completely ruined our vacation, wasted hours of our time trying to resolve it, and they still made us pay for the three nights that we were there. Staff was rude about it, didn't return calls they said they would, and the manager even blamed us for not addressing it sooner (I assume because his staff didn't inform him about it). read more

After a one-night stay at this hotel I was charged an additional $74.44 on a separate credit card transaction which the same charge was applied on my overall invoice. When I called to inquire about this charge I was advised that it was a destination charge which was already outlined on my invoice for $28.00. This hotel has deceptive pricing practices. I've been given hotel credits in the past as a courtesy. However, those credits have always been included in the room rate. This Hilton property, however, has a unique twist on the practice. Turns out that if you book your room at the Embassy Suites Sarasota on any travel site other than Hilton (I.e. something like Concur for all of us business travelers), you couldn't know that there is a Daily Mandatory Destination Charge of $28. That little slice of deception includes premium guest internet access; daily $28 food and beverage credit for use in all hotel outlets; 2 hour bicycle rental. Unfortunately, after booking a room, driving 5 hours to get there at 9:30p and, after they run your credit card, that's when they inform you that they charged you an additional $28 and that you have to use that credit at the bar or restaurant by 11:00a the next day - or you lose it! BTW, you can't apply it to their $40 per night parking or the gift shop. You can complain when that message is delivered but their desk staff is very well trained to shut you down by telling you that it's their policy and that it's posted on their website whether you booked it on that or not. When you respond to their, "We hope you're enjoying your stay" text and tell them you've had a bad experience and explain, the response is that it's your travel booking site that is the problem and you need to take it up with them. I'll translate... you, the customer, patronizing their property, can pound sand because we've got you on the terms and we've already billed you. I've been a Hilton Honors member for most of my career and I truly feel deceived and disrespected enough to 1) post a review which I have never done before ...good or bad, and 2) book all future travel with franchises other than than Hilton since, after calling Hilton Honors to discuss, they seem to covet their franchisee more than their customers, and finally, 3) recommend that my Company (with ~40,000 employees worldwide) remove this property and, perhaps, all Hilton properties from our Preferred hotel list. Unfortunately, I'm not the only one that was surprised by this as I heard similar conversations with guests in the elevator and lobby the next morning as they tried to spend the money the hotel extorted from them the night before - you'll find more mentions in the other Yelp reviews below. I'll be checking other sites like Trip Adviser and others. I expect there will be similar complaints so, I, in turn, I will share my experience on those as well. I suppose it's just $28 and I bet they've done the math to figure just out how many complaints they can get away with for compelling their customers to spend more money at this hotel or, in my case, just taking it from me. I've attached the fine print that they give you once they are already in your pocket. Most of us have known this type of practice exists since we watched Willy Wonka as a kid. You remember "I, the undersigned, shall forfeit all rights, privileges, and licenses herein and herein contained...", etc, etc, etc. so "you lose Charlie!" We had a great stay at the Embassy Suites. The check-in process was seamless. The rooms are clean, big and quiet! We didn't have any disturbances while trying to sleep. The breakfast was huge! Omelette bar, oatmeal & waffle station with toppings, scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, mini pancakes, large bread selection, it does not disappoint! You receive 2 free drinks at the bar a night between certain times, the time is different depending on the weekend/weekdays. I knocked off one star because parking is $30/day, and laundry is $4 a load. Also there is a "Daily Destination Charge" of $25/day, however, it can be used in the restaurant and bar. What I did was I used it to buy water bottles from the bar (6.50 a bottle). I also used it the first day we arrived because I was hungry and got a Caesar salad and French fries, they were both delicious. Make sure you check your bill at checkout to make sure they take off the $25 each day you use it. read more

I'll start with the great! The location and views are amazing! The hotel is beautiful. The elevators are efficient and never left me frustrated! The parking garage is convenient and easy to navigate. The not so good: 1) they charge a $25 destination fee daily. This does go toward meals at their restaurant but kind of keeps you trapped if you want to get your money back. 2) I presented a federal tax exempt form upon arrival. When I checked the night before, there were still taxes on my bill. They said they would be removed when I checked out. When I checked out they were still on my bill and they said they would be removed before they emailed me my bill. When I opened my email there were still taxes. I called and they said they would take care of it and send me another bill. The taxes were removed but there was a charge to my credit card with no explanation. When I called they said that was all the taxes lumped together and that their accountant had to remove them and it could take several days...we shall see. This makes for a nightmarish travel voucher. 3) The TV in the living room didn't work so engineering came up to take a look. He said a cable was bad but he'd look in a room that was being renovated to see if he could get another cable. He came back and apologized that he couldn't get into that room and they'd have to order a cable. Not sure why they couldn't just get one from an unoccupied room and order one for that room. It was never replaced and I had no TV in the living room during my stay. Lastly, there was a mildew odor in the bathroom. read more

Looks can be deceiving as the case with Embassy Suites Sarasota. From the outside the hotel seems wonderful; however, there were many flaws during our visit. The parking garage is a nightmare with an extremely narrow lane to maneuver around. I'm glad we didn't need our car for our 3 night stay. Customer service is not up to par. Front desk had issues with our reservation, but the worst was when we called down and asked a question about an upcoming event being held in their hotel (the reason we were there), the front desk gentleman, said he didn't know. When we stated that he should know the detail of events in their own hotel, he hung up on us. The room: the room was nice with a separate living area and bedroom; however, the closet was the smallest closet to hang clothes I have ever seen. I've stayed in teeny tiny rooms in NYC and had larger closet space. Lighting in the bathroom was disgraceful. The bar: thankfully guests receive two free drinks during Happy Hour. The staff though were so busy on one side of the bar, that we waited almost 20 minutes before we could order our drink. This was the case all 3 nights we stayed. Breakfast: was great. Wow, this hotel is amazing. We did make a reservation to stay for one month. I am glad because they were 90% to 100% booked every day I was there. This location was great right on the bay. The sunset here almost matches the west coast. Surprisingly this location did not have any private room balconies. What a welcoming hotel staff. The front desk ladies were kind and proactive. I loved my morning conversation after my dog walk. As for the cleaning crew were one of the finest. Also, the maintenance men were quick to act when I voice my A/C was on the fritz. The daytime valets were quick and respectful. Unlike the nighttime valets who were youthful, not concerned with time, and not professional. I did not think I was going to use the gym. It was a healthy way to release work energy and stress away. I was most impressed with the many different types of equipment. Wow Savannah and Beth, the mixologist created such memorable cocktails. Both ladies took great care of my friends and myself. Some of my top favorites are the smoked old fashion, smore martini, cherry martini, lavender lemon drop martini. Also, what a unique happy hour from 5PM- 6PM. The free well cocktails and appetizers tasted fresh and delightful. Then the breakfast is made to order omelets that were most desirable. It was the perfect start to my day. The cook had the best music that made me smile. Now the lunch/dinner chef's skills were exquisite, what an honor to dine here. My husband's and I favorite lunch would have to be the juicy burger, crab cakes and share an order of French fries. The laundry room was very clean. It was equipped with two washers and two drying machines. Both washing machine and dryer were $2 each to use. If you forgot or ran out of quarters the front desk personnel will help you acquire as many quarters as you need! On the 9th floor there is a most interesting pool on the balcony. To start - I'm not a fan of Embassy Suites in general, and this hotel was the main reason why. The rooms are nice, and I love having the partition in the living room for our kiddo. Everything else was not so nice! First, the pool deck was tiny for a hotel of this size. It was hard to find a place to sit down, especially when you have a kid. Also, the pool was really windy and cold at night time, which was a poor engineering choice. Second, the complimentary happy hour was a bunch of pushy people clamoring for the best snacks. The hotel didn't do a good job replenishing those snacks either. Third, you have a resort fee + valet fee. This adds close to $100 a night to the room rate. We were so excited about our stay. We're Diamond members so we got a room on the top floor! Great view from our room. Accommodations are a bit bland but not a big deal. Bland and boring but comfortable and clean. The BIG BIG PROBLEM came after dinner when we got back to our room and my partner needed to do some work and it was time to charge our devices. He set up his computer at the desk and guess what.........THERE ARE NO NEARBY PLUGS OR USB PORTS. NOTHING. The nearest plug is about 12 feet away. We don't travel with extension cords! There's a wall light right above the desk but no outlet connected to the light! There was an outlet in the bedroom but it was at a dresser, not a desk. Impossible to work at a dresser! My partner travels 40 weeks a year, he's a Hilton Diamond member, he generally loves Hilton. My question to management, how can you have a desk in a hotel room that has ZERO access to electricity? read more

Mobile check in - Hilton has a sickly amazing app that I'm very much addicted to. I love it's convenience and all the info I have access to pre-arrival. My favorite feature is being able to select my room (guaranteed for me), and requesting my digital key to be sent to my phone. This allows for me to go straight to my room without having to interact with anyone at front desk at all. Under the current state we are in, this is an amazing feature! Actual check in - so, as we are approaching hotel (past 6:30pm), I noticed that the app still stated that my room was still being prepared, therefore, the digital key was still pending. I messaged the hotel (another great app feature), and I was assured that my room was ready. I asked to please have my key activated as usual (credit card already in file), and I was told I needed to stop by front desk. Huh? That defeats the purpose of the social distancing benefit and convenience, as well as its availability to request on the app. I WILL NOTE THAT I HAD 2 SEPARATE HILTON STAYS IN PAST 2 WEEKS, AND NEITHER REQUIRED A STOP BY FRONT DESK. THEREFORE, NOT A COVID19 THING. Okay, remember the whole "pick the room I want" thing? Well, I selected 1620. When I got checked in, was told I was "upgraded" to a higher floor. Well, if you look at floor plan, 1725 is hardly an upgrade, when 1620 is a corner - more windows- and a bit larger. While not totally disappointed, as all rooms here are amazing, this is the first time the room I selected is taken away. Prior to our arrival, I checked all sites, where it did state that breakfast was closed as well as managers reception, however, it stated its restaurant Bridges was open. When I asked about where to go, I was told it was actually closed during the 2 days of my stay, as they were preparing for Memorial weekend. ‍ Even on lobby and elevator notices, it assured that Bridges was open. Needless to say, we were starving, upset, and disappointed. Breakfast - grab to go bags - I'll just say this. Chocolate chip muffins are hardly part of an adult breakfast food group. Thank goodness for yogurt and bananas. All in all - CALL and ask all your questions before arrival. It is a great location - walking distance to theater area and lots of places to eat, as well as Marina Jacks. And short distance to St. Armand's, and many beaches. Close to Bradenton/Sarasota airport. When we travel, we frequent Embassy Suites because with a family of 5 the free breakfast is a big draw, plus the suites are just enough room for us. Love the fridge & microwave for drinks & snacks. This location..2 hour FREE Happy hour EVERYDAY. Yes, free! Liquor, wine, beer, mixed drinks...free!!!! Plus some snacks to nosh on. Free breakfast is awesome too..with a good variety of hot food and fruit, cereal & danishes. Even made to order omelettes. The pool area is beautiful, with a great view of the gulf. The knock..and it's not the hotels fault..there is a lot of construction going on everywhere. So your pool relaxing is interrupted often by the beeping of trucks going backwards or other construction site sounds. That ends a little after 5pm. All the amenities are on the same floor: pool, fitness center, restaurant, bar and laundry facilities. But if you need change for the laundry, or detergent..that's all at the front desk. That's just stupid in my opinion. It's 8 floors away, and the elevators can take a while to get to you. So minus one star for inefficiency. All the staff we encountered have been very nice & eager to please. We stayed in a 1 bedroom suite. As far as suites go.. it's a little small but had everything we needed. The great part of the suite are the complimentary snacks and drinks that get replenished daily! Sodas, waters, chips, granola bars. We travel with 3 teenagers so it was a nice surprise to return from the beach to new drinks & snacks everyday. Will definitely stay here again when we come back to Sarasota area. We couldnt make it I understand that my cancelation at 1:15pm was pass my grace period. given the fact that the room was sold again right away I asked for some considaration since we paid $500 for the night. Im know the hotel rebooked for the same rate right away. the refusal of the general manager to reconsider even partial refund or even a rain check really turn me off. hilton honors couldnt change his mind either. even tough we spent $5k the same week on other hilton accomdations You won this round but I will look eleswhere before i book a hilton in the future thank you for being so considrate read more

Not sure how new this site is, but it looks brand new. Everything is in excellent condition if not new. Rooms are comfortable and welcoming. Has a modern or European straight-lines decor. It's nice Within walking distance of a lot of things, specifically old Sarasota. The restaurant if the number one disappointment. It is very pretty bland has a great view, but it is the worst layout and flow for breakfast of any Embassy I've every stayed at, and with more than 10 years of being a Hilton Diamond member, that's a lot of Hilton and Embassy hotels I've been too. The actual food area is far too small and there is zero flow when more than 10 people are trying to get food. Don't think of having an enjoyable breakfast if you get to the area after 8:00 on a weekday. The hot line over laps the Buffett line and prevents anyone getting food. When we got into line on a Friday and then again on Monday, there were 25-30 people waiting to get their omelette made and the place actually closed before we got ours, more than an hour wait. The Buffett was also out of food both mornings more than 30 min before service was supposed to start So, don't go thinking you will have. Nice time at breakfast. This was one of the worst hotel experiences I have ever had. The digital key couldn't be activated before my arrival. I had to go to the front disk to check in. That caused the system to charge my Hilton credit card twice for my room. Even though they had my plate number I received a threatening note on my car from the hotel because the hotel didn't log my plate number. Three was no ice in the ice machine on my floor through the whole three day stay. No one at the hotel cared and no manager contacted me after I reported the problems to Hilton customer service. I will never stay at a Hilton or Embassy Suites again. There is no customer service. read more

This was probably one of the best Embassy Suites I've been too. It was very clean, service was great , and the amenities were even better. Location is everything and this place is located pretty central from the beaches and also the downtown area which is very nice. I stayed here for work and I definitely will be returning for a personal visit. The on-site restaurant was pretty good, drinks were great and the views really set this place off. The gym was nice and clean with a view of the pool which overlooks the water. The only negative would be the valet parking since you have to use valet. They do have free street parking nearby though. Overall a great hotel that I recommend checking out if in the Sarasota area for business or pleasure. read more

This was my first time ever at this embassy suites, and I will say from the second I walked in and was greeted at the front desk by Emmy, who was such a sweetheart thank you for everything my room is so spacious I love the fact there's a second TV and a couch. The bathroom is huge and the fact that there's a microwave in a fridge, on top of that I got some chicken noodle soup from the grab and go and please tell the chef it's the best chicken noodle soup I've ever had in my life or maybe it's not not even noodle but chicken soup it is so good it's my first time ever in the cityso far so good again, thank you Emmy at the front desk read more

A very mixed review... I'll start with the positives- The hotel is very well situated. Its walking distance from downtown Sarasota with its wonderful and varied restaurants, art galleries, and shops. It's a short drive to the beaches and other attractions. The valet service was friendly and quick. The medium sized pool has plenty of shade and clean towels, but minimal seating. It is located on the 8th floor and has a beautiful view. Included in the stay is both a fresh breakfast , with "made to order omelets" (which they keep repeating), and a wonderful happy hr (a much appreciated amenity where we met other guests and had a nice break from the heat). The hotel is well decorated, the rooms are comfortable in decor and size, the bed was comfy, and the bathrooms are gorgeous. Now the negatives- All of the things that bothered me are management issues. I assume the reason for the lack of room service is staffing issues due to Covid-19, but we weren't told a reason. Because we stayed for a week we were entitled to room service once with 24 hr notice. The hotel has a truly icky towel exchange method. We were told twice to call the front desk to ask for new towels, and PUT OUR DIRTY TOWELS ON THE FLOOR OUTSIDE OUR ROOM. In utter disbelief I asked if there was a basket or bag in the room for the dirty towels, but was told there isn't. I feel so gross walking through the hallways knowing that peoples damp towels have been put on the carpets. Why aren't there bags for this purpose under the kitchenette sink? Ew! Breakfast- the line for the hot buffet is the same as that for the made to order omelets , so people who are in a rush must "cut in front " of others if they just want to get some scrambled eggs, which are therefore sitting around longer than necessary. Typically those would be two different lines, and this hotel does have room for both if the space was used differently. Lastly, there aren't enough people cleaning the hotel despite the lack of room service. The poor man at breakfast was running himself ragged as he alone was bussing tables. There was a meatball on the floor during happy hour one day, and it was still there at breakfast the next morning. The pool area had coffee stains on the floor in the late afternoon that were there since the morning (or maybe day before). Furthermore, what's with the waffle ceiling art? The place doesn't even offer waffles!!! Finally, the water in the hotel is undrinkable, and I usually drink tap water for environmental reasons. If restaurants have drinkable water I'd assume that the hotel could have a filtration system as well. I hope that the management rethinks the towel exchange system (bags or baskets in the room or ice room), cleanliness/staffing , and the staffing/ organization of the restaurant. The hotel has real potential but cleanliness is #1 in hotel service. read more

I've stayed here for work a few times on business. The hotel is in a great location near many restaurants & stores nearby. The rooms are clean & the staff is friendly. They also offer a amazing complimentary breakfast to all guest. As a Hilton Diamond member I would definitely recommend this property. read more

Worst hotel experience ever. During a 3-night business trip stay, I did laundry service the first day. I received most of my clothing the following day, but was missing all of my shirts. My pants went to another room, and the person staying there (who was in my travel group) had their undergarments mixed with mine. The hotel never retrieved my shirts during my stay, so I left shipping info at the front desk. Fast-forward 2 weeks. I had to call to find out they had my shirts. After playing phone tag w the manager, he finally sent me a form to fill out for 'Left Items' and wanted me to pay $45 ground shipping. I called and complained, left a message on the Hilton site, and no one has returned the message, or my shirts. It has been over a month now. Horrendous customer service and I am even a Hilton Honors member, not that it matters anymore. Other than garbage service, the hotel is nice. read more

I was visiting Sarasota for a business ‍ and this Hotel accommodated my needs. It was clean and the mattress provided me with a restful sleep. The restaurant lacked customer service and the food was not that great! We waited over 15 min to have someone take our order and we constantly had to go and find the server to assist us. The Hotel provides a $25 per day food Credit if you eat at their Restaurant. However, I was not able to take advantage of it, due to the lackluster service we received the first day! read more
