I was gifting my wife on our wedding day a North Face jacket and got it embroidered "Mrs. Tolentino" on the back. It's the wife's favorite jacket! Herb was super friendly. I got to chat with him while he worked his magic. His business may be in his garage but everything about him and his business was very professional. Called in for an embroidery patch quote, I send over my design and he gives me a quote. Later he calls me and says he won't be able to do the colors exactly the way it is. (Only 3 colors gray blue and green) after some back and forth begrudgingly tells me he could probably do the colors but it would cost extra now because he has to change it out in his machine. This was a patch for a my bosses logo so we had to have the exact same colors. It didn't make sense to me that he was trying to get me to get off-colors of our logo made, just to reveal he can but it'll be so much work to change out the colors in his machine that it will cost 100 dollars extra to get the exact colors. I never ended up going inside because of the way the customer service was over the phone read more

Herb does it again... I was so happy with my embroidered jeans that he did previously So I had him custom embroider hats for me too. We ran into a little speed bump on stitching over the seam of the hat but Herb used his creativity and persistence to get the job done. He also gave me another option (embroidered patch) so I can have a different look on my hat. Herb is very meticulous about his work and passionate about what he does. I called about 10 different spots off the top results of yelp with average 3-4 stars and 30 review plus. No one could do my request within my time frame. I wanted to do a monogram on an electric blanket before Christmas, simple 3 letters (Yeah I know it's late). Anyway, I got to this one with zero expectations and about to give up, but I really wanted to exhaust all my options. Godsend. Herb, the owner and operator, answered and delivered beyond my expectations. I came in with what I thought was a simple Christmas present and it evolved into an embroidery exploration event. I didn't realize how much I neglected my creative side because I kinda went crazy with all the details. Who knew embroidery was so complex? It's like building a decision tree. It was hella fun. (Literally got everything done today, got lucky with a cancelled appointment) The embroidery cost double the blanket, but I don't care ($80 if you're curious). The experience itself was worth it. I already have ideas for my own stuff that I want to do now. Now, everything isn't perfect, but they are minor flaws. The colors are limited to about 15-20 I want to say (main like 10)? Also, it might get costly and time consuming depending on the amount of effort you put into it. Initially, it was going to be like 20-30 minutes, ended up being an hour and a half lol. TLDR: 10/10, This has to be your #1 choice if you enjoy creative license, have some time to kill, like making stuff, need it quickly, enjoy the details and new experiences. read more

Called "Embroidery To You" and spoke with the owner Herb, explained to him that I needed a specific color to match the shirt so he set up an appointment the next morning which was convenient for me and he was close by. I showed him my shirts and he was able to show me a color that was perfect for the shirts. Explained the process and took his time to make all the shirts look perfect. I was looking for a place that does embroidery and so I looked up a place that was close to my house. And embroidery to you popped up. I called and Herb pick up. Of the bat he was so helpful! He asked me what I wanted to do and he even told me step by step on how to get to him. So Herb works from his home in his garage. I know some people might think it's sketchy to going to someone's home. But believe me. Herb did not make it uncomfortable in any way. He was really nice about making sure he understands what I wanted. Originally I jus wanted to put a name but he asked me if I wanted to add anything else to it. At first I didn't want to but I changed my mind after. Why this matters is because on the phone he told me for what I wanted was $40 and even me changing my mind and wanted to add something extra he still kept the same price! The whole time being there he was so nice and very talkative. Very accommodating to everything I needed. And the way he talk I can tell he is very passionate about his work and he takes it serious! I just had 5 hats embroidered by Herb, and not only is his work stellar artistry, but Herb is a joy to work with. It took us just over 2 hours to do 5 hats with 3 different designs, and each of them was designed, test-run, and produced with care and attention to detail, and it was great to be part of the production process. Herb is an expert and cares so much about doing things right, AND also happens to be a talented musician (I learned all about his band XStatic). I was working with Herb for a few days to make sure the logos I needed were correct. He decided that the font in the logos didn't look good and changed it which is why I was questioning it in the first place. I called him to talk through it at which point he told me he needed to cancel my appointment for the following day and that he was too busy as well as raise his voice to me about doing all this work without getting paid. At no time did he tell me he required pre-payment for anything. We had already agreed on me paying in cash when I came into his office - which turns out is in his home. So I would recommend going with a reputable, real business instead of working with someone who can't remain professional and cancels on you at the last minute. read more
