Although they were really big on making sure you have grippy socks (I think they left two VMs about it and texted twice), other than that, it was pretty seamless: I signed up, showed up, and they did not try to sell me on anything. I took the class, and they did a 2 minute speal after, but they let everyone leave when it was over, and there was no pressure to buy a package, which I really appreciated. In sum, the study is very clean, the instructor was very nice, and I really enjoyed the class. If I didn't have access to free pilates, I might be interested.

I've heard great things about almost every instructor, but these are the ones I've taken most and would recommend 10x over: Tracy F. - Warm, funny, and welcoming. I've taken 150+ of her classes and they're always fun, varied, and challenging. She creates a supportive environment, encourages growth, and keeps things fresh each week. Her TRX class is one of my all-time favorites. Anel - My first-ever Pilates instructor and a big reason I stuck with it. She teaches a more classical style and clearly explains form and function, which built my confidence early on. Consistent warmups, always-changing flows, and uplifting energy that carries you through class. Jenni G. - A newer instructor to me and now a weekly favorite. She's super attentive (always remembers my lower back issue), offers great modifications, and gives cues that just click. Her flow and TRX classes are fun, challenging, and set to great music. A great pick for beginners or anyone leveling up. Stacy C. - Somehow both challenging and calming. She has a peaceful, encouraging presence and checks in with everyone during class with gentle corrections and praise. I love how she weaves in anatomy and form education--her classes fill up for a reason. Jade (Front Desk - La Mesa) - Truly deserves a shout-out. She keeps the studio welcoming, remembers everyone by name, celebrates milestones, and handles hiccups during classes with total grace. Her seasonal decorations and positive energy make La Mesa feel special.

Her classes have truly changed my life. I actually look forward to going--it's become my safe place and my strong place. Dafna is absolutely meant to be a yoga teacher. I had been looking for Spartan prep classes and had heard all over Facebook groups that this NXPT…read moreis the place to go for this type of training classes. It's a little far from me in the South Bay but I knew I had to try it. For parking, the lot is shared with other businesses so when I got there, it was full and parked in the lot down the street. I wouldn't suggest to park in front of the NXPT if it's the games classes since we're using wall balls near cars. When I found the class on classpass for Wednesday night, the name of it was a little confusing because it said "OCR/Games/Hyrox/Deka" so I didn't really know what that meant until I showed up to the class to learn that depending on when the next event is, that is the type of training they're doing. So my class focused on the Hyrox because the Anaheim event is in five weeks. Hannibal is the trainer and he was friendly with a quick introduction and had to jump on a call before class started. I asked around to sign the waiver and got someone to help me. I wanted to make sure that didn't slow me down starting the class on time. Thankfully I do strength training and hot yoga outside of this class so I felt I could keep up but having been to new classes before, they seem to take care of newbies with just a few more instructions. I ended up figuring it out and maybe the style of this gym is no hand holding but I ended up asking other attendees in the class about the structure. Most of the moves in this class were standard but when it came to Sled, I wasn't sure in my form. I'd suggest when they get newbies in these games classes to ask them if they've done anything like this before and if not, show them the proper technique of the moves. That helps in the actual events since form matters and also prevents injuries. Overall, it was a good experience and I'll be back!

I started doing yoga with Rose atop Mt Helix a few years back. I was 40 lbs overweight, unable to…read morereach my toes or support my weight in a "downward dog." Within a few weeks, I was moving more easily, which in turn helped me slowly lose that weight. Practicing out of doors, in such a beautiful spot, lifted my spirits each time I went, making it a pleasure instead of a chore. It is the only workout that has ever left me feeling energized instead of drained. Recently, my husband agreed to having a private session once a week in our home. In addition to easing his chronic back pain, it has become a way to bring us closer, the physical practice of breathing together, balancing together and cooperating in our workout translating into a more natural cooperation in everything else. I had a bad experience with the charges, on December 23rd I put the account on hold, and they…read morecharged me on christmas day, he just told me you will be charged back in a few days, I put the account on hold and on January 24th he charged me again because he said that the hold only lasts for 1 month, although we had already talked about that my son had been approved since december for a government program because he has autism and he already knew, I asked him why he had charged my card again and he just told me you signed a contract because you wanted the service and you didn't cancel it. So they were double charged for the month of December, January. I was also charged the annual fee on January 1st. My son only had one month total of practice. The coach Erick was good and patient with my autistic son.
