I've had the PB&J smoothie from here many times and have always enjoyed it. The staff is always friendly, and the vibes are good.

Rarely open on time. Often employees don't arrive until 9 or after and don't open the store for another 30 minutes.on my most recent visit I ordered a vegan dream, my normal order, and the smoothie they gave me was green, not the usual pink. read more

Came here twice during business hours and it has been closed. Hours of operation for today (Saturday) is until 8 pm. They closed at 7 pm. The open sign on the window is on but the door is locked and all the lights are off. They should update their hours to match their hours of operation so ppl don't waste their time. read more

This place was amazing! The person working was very kind and helpful in showing me how it worked since i had never been there before. I got the açaí smoothie and added energy to it. I got a 24oz and it seemed a lot bigger than that too. It tasted amazing and was very refreshing. A lot of bang for your buck. I would definitely come here again. read more

Hours said 7, and worker hadn't locked door so we opened it to them telling us that they were closed. Hours should be marked correctly or a note should be made so customers can know and plan accordingly. The kid there was undertrained and frankly had no business even making smoothies! I truly hate this ECS, the customer service is pure poop!!! The same person works at the other one up the street as well. They never greet you and just gives a death stare when your trying to order. When she started to make the "Pacific Splash" I noticed her using a syrupy strawberry mix, rather than fresh strawberries, so I stopped her before she used them and asked for a different drink. This is a New discovery for me only because my brother took me here. He had a craving for smoothie, I didn't but why not!? They offer all sorts of healthy options which, they can add different types of supplements you can hope for. If you wish to have more energy or detoxify, lose weight, gain some weight? They have smoothies that will tickle your fancy. They have 2 sizes: medium and large. Outside of the juicing process, you will find some canned energy drinks and snack bars. There are 2 people working behind the counter who are pleasant to assist and in a timely fashion. Swing by if you are in the area. Lots and lots of smoothies. One thing I wish they had? My avocados. It's a combination of a GNC and Jamba Juice that is staffed by music store employees. There is a wide selection of muscle milk and protein powders to supply the entire cast of jersey shore. I am there for the smoothies that taste great. My favorite is the Pineapple Bliss. I notice there are shots or boosters available but they never asked me if i wanted to add them to my drink. but over-all good smoothies. read more

I used to love this location but it is more and more inconsistent with the quality of smoothies , it's a crapshoot if the smoothie I order off the menu will taste right . I just had my smoothie remade and she argued with me when I said it tasted wrong , and then the second one was still wrong . Winter time is an excellent time to drop in at Emerald Smoothie because they are usually running some type of gift card deal: buy at $20. gift card at a $25. value; or something like that. During the spring and summer this place can get pack during lunch hour as students pour out of Seattle Central between classes. Be patient, the line moves fast. read more

I have no idea what's going on with this location's hours, but it seems like they open and close on a different schedule every week. I came to get a smoothie today well past when they are supposed to be open, only to see they were not. Their phone line told me that they actually open at a different time, so I went back again at that time and still nobody there. Anyone who frequents Emerald city smoothie shops will understand my review. This is the worst ECS shop I've been to yet. I always get the emerald w/PB or the lean out. The last time I came here, the guy who made my emerald made it weird; it TASTED weird. It tasted off. I was already in my car on my way back to work, so I didn't have time to go back and ask for another drink. I just prayed I wouldn't get sick. Fast forward to today, the same guy made my smoothie but this time it was the lean out. After today, I'm never going back. It tasted off but this time it's like he left out ingredients. I'm pretty sure he didn't put banana in it. It tasted watery. Do not waste your time here. If you can, go to the Tukwila, Lakewood, Burien or BOTH Kent locations. Like I said, I ALWAYS go to Emerald at least a couple times per week. Those locations will NEVER have your drink tasting weird or off. It's already bad enough this chain doesn't use fresh fruit all the time. Depending on the drink, they'll use syrups and purée. The least they can do is make the a drink right. Bonus: the burien and tukwila locations have unique drinks monthly so you don't have to stick to the same menu all the time. The Kent and Lakewood locations might also have a special menu but I'm not sure. read more

I got a Peach Passion and it was really good. The lady also was nice about warning me they used whey protein when I mentioned being lactose intolerant. She switched it out for soy no problem. I got a good size smoothie, 24oz., for only 4.75 which is a good deal in my opinion. It tasted nice and sweet just the way I expected, but left me full. My partner got some mocha smoothie and mentioned really liking it as well. I enjoyed their perky helpful barista, fair prices, and delicious drinks. The space is a bit cramped though and this made me a bit overwhelmed so I will give it a solid 4stars. There is also no place to sit if you wanted to. It is solely a walk up and walk out kinda place. They also have coupons in Entertainment Book which offer some great discounts. read more

I love this place. I go there every day. But I can't keep my mouth shut anymore. The guy with the dreads is awful. My first interaction with him was kicking a girl out for playing music on her phone. He said she was disrespectful, refunded her smoothie (while still giving her the smoothie?) Then kicked her and a friend out. He's ALWAYS in a bad mood. Very curt and short. Very unpleasant and uncomfortable. He never gives me the right size. I always order large but instead he makes what he wants. It feels very judgmental. Today was my last straw with him. As soon as I walked in he told a woman he was out of pineapple. I plainly saw six huge cans in the back. I took a picture of the pineapple and he FLIPPED out. Insulted me. Told me I was rude and disrespectful. He told me there were thirty people on line (there were three). He made me very uncomfortable. I come here every day but I'm done with him. I usually love emerald city smoothie, every time I go to the ones located by my house I never have any complaints. But this one is lacking a lot. The employee didn't seem to care that I had walked in and continued to watch her show on the tv. Once I ordered she proceeded to watch the tv and even while she was making my drink she continued watching it. That's fine if want to watch your show all I want is a drink that tastes well, I even tipped her and now I wish I didn't because my drink tastes awful and and even had two huge chucks of ice the size of my pinky.
