The smoothies here always put a smile on my face! My favorite is the Zone Zinger. It's tangy, sweet but not too sweet, and not to mention actually good for you. Go figure! As an added bonus they do offer punch cards. read more

I wanted a smoothie... A green smoothie. But their menu presentation board is atrocious. I missed the chalk board on the back wall and only saw the choices on square white boards across the bar were you order. It was not until after I got my mango drink that I saw the veggie drink board while paying at the They really need to address this design flaw in their layout. And the cashiers response, "yeah, veggies on the chalk board" both missed the point and was Jeremy flippant. Decent with wide variety of smoothies and vegan protein option. Be careful though, many of the flavors have added sugar and the fruit in mine tasted like it had been in syrup. From a hygiene standpoint, when I went the plumbing in the bathroom didn't work. Overall, I think you can get a decent smoothie here but I've definitely experienced better! read more

I gotta say I really am disappointed by everything this place offers, and a good friend of mine works at one. I guess the only thing I would go there for is to talk with friendly people serving giant cups of type II diabetes. There big sell point is "low fat". People, lets do a little thinking about this. If I consume 50+ grams of sugar, my body will have no use for any of it, and though it isn't fat, guess what happens to unused glucose in the body? IT STORES AS FAT. On a recent trip to Hawaii I devoured more smoothies than I would like to own up to. It makes sense though, which their abundance of fresh fruit it only seems right to gorge yourself on smoothies. When I returned home I was determined to find a great quality smoothie shop. When I started to ask around one of my friends brought up Emerald City Smoothie. When I went in I suffered from a small heart attack. The menu does not seem like a smoothie menu but rather a checkered board of boosts and body builder mixes. When I saw them fixing my smoothie my heart ached. Tiny amount of fruit, huge (practically a bucket full) amount of ice. The results: A watery, bland "smoothie". I am sure this would be the perfect place to go if you were suffering from a flu and needed those added vitamin boosts but I would not recommend it to a true smoothie lover. Their price tags are not all that pleasant either. I dropped more than $5 on an orange and peach smoothie (little bit of each and then a hearty helping of ice...yum?) Not rich, not thick, definitely not wonderful. read more

Regarding their smoothies... ehhh. They usually lack much flavor and the ratio of ice to fruit/etc. can be pretty off. Their juices are okay though. Can't really go wrong there. Smoothies in general aren't THAT healthy, especially after you start adding extras or get peanut buttery things. If you're in a jam and really feel like you need a smoothie, I guess this is somewhere you can come. Also they have a huge amount of other products in the store - I usually just see protein stuff and think - dudes trying to bulk up...? Anyway, not the best place, but not the worst. read more

Gross. I got a mango smoothie and it tasted like medicine or cough syrup. It gets two stars because it was probably good for me. I can't imagine wanting to go there again. I guess if you want flavored protein powder on your way back from pumping metal (....wait is that a euphemism for working out? I think so? Probably my favorite place to get smoothies. My boyfriend and I always get the macha green tea from them. We never try any other because their green tea is probably the best yet. We always get the large and split into two cups. We used to have it so often it was kind of like an addiction. Now that we aren't around that area as often, I miss this drink so much. read more

I am so obsessed with this place, I asked my super rich friends to buy one of their franchises. Not only do they use fresh fresh ingredients, they list all of their nutritional information on their menu boards. They also do not use refined sugars in their smoothies, which is huge for me. No. I've gone in a few times because, hey, who doesn't like smoothies? Fruit and ice, what could be better! And every time I leave with a sense of disappointment. These things cost serious cash, and what you get in return is not the least bit enjoyable. I don't ask for much from a smoothie - be smooth, be tasty, just be my blended friend. But when I ordered berry something or other, the taste was very...chalky. And by that I mean it tasted like chalk. There was no fruit flavor to speak of. On the plus side, I'm pretty happy about my calcium intake. read more

This is my local spot to stop at after working out, its super close to my house and the gym I use. The place is nice really big for whatever reason, the staff have always been really nice and helpful and the smoothies have not let me down, me current choice is the mega or mini mass. The only thing is that it is expensive, about $5-6 for a smoothie but worth it to me. read more

We like to stop in here on a Saturday or Sunday afternoon when we are enjoying Capitol Hill. The smoothies here are delicious--just right, not too watery, not too thick. They are a little on the high side price-wise, but that's what I expect in a high-rent area like this. I consider it the little premium I have to pay for the benefit of being able to get something delicious to drink to enjoy while walking, window-shopping, and otherwise soaking in the Broadway environment.
