I have came here quite a few times to play pool. Love the $4 beers (Pernicious) and the free pool table. This place has live bands and I love the locals who play pool. You will have to compete with as teams by writing your name on the dry erase board and play as teams to win the table but it's a lot of fun. All the guys and gals are always so nice and have a good time playing pool, drinking and listening to the band. This is about my seventh time here and will return! read more

Fun hole in the wall bar! The drinks were cheap too! Wish they had more games and things to do. But they had a DJ and a dance floor that seemed poppin! 21+ only and don't try to go in under age- they have a scanner and black lights they check your ID with! Great security in my book! read more

I love the Emerald Club. For one, the club is located on beautiful Emerald Isle. It doesn't get much better than E.I.There's always great music (djs and live bands), dancing, cheap drinks, and really, REALLY fun people. I've been here numerous times to see Spare Change. Love 'em! It's a very small place and gets really cramped during the colder months, but the outdoor patio in the summertime is great! Plus, they have an additional bar outside so you don't have to wait and push your way through everyone when it's packed inside. My only complaint is the fact that they don't run the A/C, so it gets hot as hell inside and the bathrooms are really, really gross. So as long as you don't break the seal, you're OK! read more

Yesss, Emerald Club - you've got my vote for best dive in Emerald Isle. From the crowded Saturday night pics, I'm not sure that's my jam, but my Thursday Music Bingo night was just perfect. What is Music Bingo you ask? Well, it's a Bingo game where you have a card of song titles and when the songs play you mark them on your card. Once you have a full line, you yell "ROCKS" which, if you're first, will net you $10 and unlimited pride. It's such a cute way to spend a Tuesday that's not your typical bar trivia. On Tuesdays, they also have $1 PBR, which means you can potentially profit from a night out. You can order as many as you like and the friendliest bartenders will chat with you like seasoned restaurant industry professionals. It feels very local, even if you're a tourist like me. read more

Went here with a group of friends last night for the 4th. Good music and good bar, but if you're a regular and have a problem with someone you can get them kicked out apparently. Watch out for drunk people and try not to piss anyone off because no matter if you're sober and just relaxing with people you'll be asked to leave. read more

I have been visiting Emerald Isle since I was an infant. Now that I am older my friends and I are not satisfied with simply sitting on the beach all day. We stumbled upon the Emerald Club with hesitation...perhaps for the cheesy "2001" in the title. HOWEVER, we had a BLAST! You can choose if you want to dance, hang by the bar, chill outside at a bar-top, or mingle. We enjoyed the versatility of the environment and the "pretty-cheap" drinks. We mostly stuck to beer ($3 bottle domestics) or the "Pirate Punch." Pirate punch is sweet and don't drink too much if you are not up for a nasty hangover. There were a mix of people there: Marines, bachelorette parties, locals, and young and old vacationers. We enjoyed the diversity of the crowd. Surprisingly, we really enjoyed the live music. David Dixon was really great (we actually go to school with his brother). We had such a good time on a Friday night that we went back again Saturday. So if you are looking for a little fun in the sleepy beach town of E.I., hit up the Emerald Club. read more

Oh Eclub.... You were so good to me that I went twice while I was at the beach. Its a mixed crowd but very nice and fun. There were no annoying drunks that I can remember and everyone pretty much kept to their own group. There was live music both nights that we went and also a DJ. Dance floor is small but most people just stand around watching lol. Bathroom is ridiculously small too for the crowd. They also have an outside tiki bar and stage with lots of seating. I always have a good time when I come here. They have a nice large patio area. Bartenders are super friendly. Band selection is really good. Everyone is just really nice here, great place to socialize. I would have given 5 stars, but the bar itself is REALLY small and going to the ladies room when its packed is often a pain. Really fun place! Great music, indoor and outdoor areas. Pool, cornhole, TVs, decent bathroom, loved the live music. However, the drinks were kinda poorly made and I had to tell a bartender that their syrup was out for the soda and he got annoyed about it. I had three drinks and they all tasted not great. Nice and clean place, but we went on a Friday night and it wasn't really happening. There was a band which was cool, but there was an older crowd. Guess we missed the memo about Friday nights being old school fridays, we came here after the yacht club and there was an older crowd there also. The club looked nice but advertised no cover then tried to charge a $1 membership fee. When we asked if we could get one shot they turned away 4 paying customers over a dollar. I have been visiting emerald isle since I was five. Since I was 21 I've been going to the emerald club. This is the classic great American bar. Good booze, good people. Dont go expecting fancy martinis wearing brooks brothers suits and high tension discussions about the dow jones. But do expect imperial cerveza, dancing with local ladies and shots with US Marines. Their slogan is, "What Happens Here, We Talk About All Week" They get really great bands and the beergarden is really pleasant on a warm July night. $2 Bud Light special the night I was there. Cool enough spot however I had an issue with a charge and the person I spoke to about it was unbelievably rude. I keep track of my spending and knew exactly how much my tab from the previous night was. After the charge went through it was 4 dollars more than what I had spent. When I called and explained, the guy I spoke to said "you're calling about 4 dollars?" And proceeded to hang up on me. Honestly blown away by that response. read more

Good drinks and bartenders. When youre drug through the parking lot by a bouncer over a verbal altercation who ran away when the cops came thats not good. The owner arrived and the cops spoke with me him and the other bouncers but he never had to come down to speak with them. This was after they "couldnt find" my card i had a tab on. Don't recommend if you dont live down there and think they need to be more careful who they choose for security. Was never given his name. Been coming down 33 years and this was the first time i had any issues. My leg 3 days later is still cut up and my knee is swollen. The chokehold and drag and slam back and forth is not a necessary way to physically remove anyone. That is assault. read more

This is a fun, casual, chill bar. There is usually a good bit of middle aged people that hang out here, but come summer time it's a great mix of everyone. It's a bit small and there are posts in the middle of the floor, but I always have a good time without spending a lot of money. I like to dance, so live bands are really my thing, but they have live bands often and I've seen a couple; awesome! Overall, it's a great place, and if you're staying on the island.... Cheap prices, friendly staff, also Thursday's are dollar PBR's so I recommend going there every Thursday.
