They…read morehave appointment booking capability from their website, however, I was already at Costco when I decided to pop in to make a new patient appointment. They were able to get me in within the same week! The receptionist was helpful and friendly, with the ability to answer my questions regarding insurance and what the eye exam entailed. I opted for an appointment that would give me both my glasses and contact prescription. The day of my appointment, I filled out a quick questionnaire to establish my care as a patient, and one of their techs performed the initial eye exam ($40 out of pocket, covered by certain insurances, but a very important eye exam as it checks your eye health). Dr. Kathy Kim was the optometrist I saw the day of my appointment. She began with asking if I had my glasses with me ('dOh, I forgot to bring them!) but I was able to tell her the power of each eye from a prescription from 1.5 years ago before I moved to Tacoma. Th usual eye exam commenced, with having to read the letters with one eye, and then the other. Dr. Kim mentioned the slight astigmatism that I've heard I've had for a while, but hadn't been corrected by other optometrists/ophthalmologists. She gave me the option to do the regular contacts I was accustomed to, but also suggested trying toric contact lenses to adjust for the astigmatism. Dr. Kim explained that these type of lenses would reduce squinting, and help with driving at night, reducing glare. Her receptionist was able to give me trials for both the regular contacts with my updated prescription (same day), and ordered trial torics which came in several days later. What I loved about Dr. Kim was her demeanor. She was professional, and able to build a great rapport during the quick 15 minute exam! She allowed me to look at the eye health screen (your vision is priceless, it's worth the $40!) and let me know that they have a 90 day follow up policy to have the lenses adjusted, should I not love the trials before ordering my contact supply. 5/5 highly recommend! (P.S. I don't believe you need a Costco membership to utilize this clinic in Costco).

The problem is they gave us the prescription leaving out a key detail that they refuse to provide, even to contact lens provider, who has called this office twice, received vm both times and no call back. What Dr's office refuses to transfer a prescription? My husband even stopped by the office thinking there was a mis-understanding and not only were they incredibly rude, but refused to give him his own prescription. Terrible experience, price gouging and uncooperative.

I use my glasses for reading far distance since I am nearsighted. I am able to see things pretty clear most of the time so I do not wear my glasses constantly due to the recommendation of a prior optometrist. During my exam, he asked "Why don't you wear contacts?" I'm not sure if it was because my prescription was heavy, or he thought the fact that I had to carry my glasses around was a nuisance. He didn't offer any in-depth diagnosis of my exam nor provided any advice/talk. I'm also not sure if it was just me, but after getting my eyes dilated, they did not offer any of those thin "sunglasses". Good thing I lived a block away or that would've been a hazard for driving. Weeks later when I returned, they pretty much gave my glasses out and didn't offer to adjust them to my wearing. The 2 stars is for the front receptionist and decent selection of glasses. But for customer service and service focus from Dr. Green, I hope that has improved from my last visit. I will not be returning.

Why didn't they say that when I called originally and made the appointment?! I had the card in front of me and provided all the details. This place is a joke and I wasted my time and money to drive to an appointment that wasn't necessary. They don't care about the people who need to come in and to actually do their job correctly. The doc is very fast friendly helpful and professional when it came to questions I had about my sons diagnosis and with assisting my son. We received his first pair 2 weeks after our visit and he loves them. One month later he breaks his glasses and we order another pair from the office. It came in a week later. We have noticed the frames for the style of glasses he chose are very flimsy. My son has gone through 2 pairs in the last 2 months (my son is only 9 so you already know little boys are pretty rough with their glasses). The screws that attach the frames to the glass have came off both times. Not built for active children. Just recently I had called to ask the receptionist if we could choose a different frame style rather than keeping the one we currently have as we had to go twice to the office to re-screw both pairs. The receptionist was really friendly and said it was definitely ok. Today we will choose a different frame for my son and hopefully this time these glasses will last him longer than a couple months. Other than the frames being crappy, the office and staff are lovely people and my son will continue being a patient here.

I drove an hour to come to this appointment then have to come back in a week? I paid $10 for them to mail them to me. Those didn't work, so I called and they had to order more, but this time had to make an appointment because they are so busy they can't take a walk in try-on. Very long story short, they had zero contacts at their office for me to try. Each time had to order them. So, if you want contacts be prepared to wait. Once I decided on a pair, the prescription was wrong. I don't even know at this rate if I have the right prescription. Called to order contacts and got the confirmation a week later that they were ordered. Why it took so long? Idk. That certainly put the nail in the coffin. Probably took two months to finally get my contacts. Do not recommend this clinic at all - may look nice but the details go a long way.

We were told 10 biz days they would be in. Well, it apparently is going to be closer to 15 biz days! What a dog and pony show - have us in, give us a free frame, promise to get this fixed, blah, blah, blah ... still we wait. I'm sorry I ever referred anyone to this place!!!

Went in for an eye exam, and it was an extremely smooth process. The doc was extremely knowledgeable and even explained certain things about my eyes that no one has ever taken the time to do before. Other experiences I've had were all about getting you in and out as fast as they could, but not here. He took his time to explain what he was doing and why. I like that in a Doc. When I went to pick out my frames, my better half was not with me, and I typically always ask for her approval on something I liked. So, I went off the recommendation of the employee helping me (didn't grab his name). I tried several pairs on, and he said there was one that popped. Which was good because I liked it, but wasn't too sure. He said it was a a perfect fit and style for my noggin... so I went with it. Of course got all the upgrades, and let me tell you... I can't count on my toes and fingers, and yours too on how many compliments I got on these Holbrook Oakleys!! People loved it, my wife loved it, more importantly... I loved them! I purchased new lenses but had them mounted in my old frames. No problems. Cost and wait time for manufacturing lenses and mounting were reasonable. Office experience: All personnel were friendly and helpful. Do not expect a fancy venue however. Office is stark and bare-bones. Limited seating and furniture. But the important service I received was pleasing and affordable.
