Ben was very communicative beforehand and gave a very reasonable price to replace it all. In person, he was even friendlier and very knowledgeable, advising us against unions for the water shutoff valve, which we agreed on. I also asked if he could take a look at my shower/tub cartridge as other plumbers said it needed to be replaced due to the water turning off when the handle is turned 180°. Although Ben doesn't work on shower/tubs (outside of the valve), he offered to take a look anyway AND FIXED IT! Turns out the cartridge was fine but the plastic scald prevention piece was on backwards. Once turned around, the water stayed on when turning the handle!! It took him almost 3 hours from start to finish. Cost was $760. Now, 1 week later, I woke up at 1 a.m. and found dirty water on my kitchen floor in front of the garbage disposal cabinets. I opened the cabinets and found my large plastic container that held supplies was FILLED WITH the DIRTY WATER to the RIM! I called SoCalPlumbing at 2am hoping they could send someone out to fix on an emergency. After placing protective slip covers on their shoes and listening to my request for plumbing services, Nick performed an inspection of the plumbing work and provided me with an estimate for each service. I thought the estimate was fair and reasonable - so I approved some of the plumbing services that Nick and Matthew said they could complete on the same day as the appointment. Those services included installation of a new lavatory faucet, drainage of a hot water heater and inspecting some other residential plumbing fixtures, lines and pipes for general maintenance issues.
