The Emerald was very disappointing not sure what changed just ordered original breakfast scrambled eggs,toast home fries and bacon. Eggs were not real,toast was floppy and bacon was stiff like plastic. Lunch here was perfectly acceptable but nothing stood out as exceptional. Service was very friendly but could not save this review enough from completely boring food. Obviously there are limited options for lunch inside the casino (many restaurants don't open until dinner) and this definitely serves a purpose in that regard, but meal composition, quality, and execution could all use improvement. I'm rating it 4 stars based on the fact that while you're at the casino, you are pretty much at their mercy when it comes to food choices. In the real world, I would rate it more like a 3. I'd suggest you stick to something basic like a club sandwich or a salad - something that would be hard for them to screw up. If you like chicken wings, try the Buffalo Chicken Salad (hot of course!) Don't let the long line of people waiting to get in discourage you, it moves pretty quickly. read more

What a mistake. After waiting what seemed like 1/2 hour for our food, the order was all sorts of wrong. No blueberries in the blueberry pancakes. White toast instead of wheat. But the best was the piece of bacon on my eggs (I'm a vegetarian). Luckily the hubby's eggs were not contaminated. My Dad and I went there for lunch on 7/6/15 after checking out of the resort. We were impressed by the reasonable prices considering it was in a casino where things are usually pricey. I had a caesar salad with chicken and Dad had a philly cheese sandwich with fries. It was good diner food. Dad has a pet peeve about coffee not being hot enough and they did pass the test. Service was excellent with the staff asking if everything was okay. I could see drivers taking a respite from there NYS Thruway drive and eating there rather than the expensive rest stops. read more

Horrible rude service & uneatable food. Served moldy parker rolls that the health inspector should inspect and shut down restuarant. Waitress said rolls were fine and it was our taste buds! We went to this restaurant last night around 945 and it was pretty busy. All the servers had a lot of tables and I can honestly say our server was one of the best I've had in a while. Even though her section was full she came right over to greet us and was very attentive to us. I wish I remembered her name but she really left a lasting impression. On Sept. 4, 2011 in Syracuse NY 10 burgers (one from each region of ny) battled for the best burger in the state. After hearing about their nomination for the best burger in their region my friend and I went to see what their burger was all about. There are 2 types of food at casinos... the good and the cheap. Winning a nomination I felt that Emerald was one of the nicer places. In the end it was the later. Nominations were based on votes. They definitely have the foot traffic to get the votes. If your there and need a bite then it a cheap place to go without leaving the tables to cool. If your there for the burger you might want to drive a bit further. We've ate here before but this time was terrible. The food was okay and everyone seemed to enjoy their meals but service and cleanliness was lacking. 3 out of 6 of us work in the industry so we understand the ins and outs of how a restaurant works. Our server was clearly overwhelmed, extremely rude, never refilled drinks or tried to pre bus our table. This is one of my biggest "Ickes" as a server in the restaurant business. Who wants to sit at a table with plates, trash, empty glasses and old food on it? No one. Three managers on duty LOL not one flinched to help run, bus or assist the server by any means. A manger should play a role in team and lead by example. Not just dress up and stop by a table to say "how was it? Good?" Then run away before a response. Like I said food was fine but maybe try adding more support staff and better management that doesn't stand there but actually is hands on with their team. When your employees are drowning and you're not helping it shows. Also don't come to work if you're not going to be friendly. No one should feel a burden by asking simple questions. read more

A favorite dining spot for our group of friends, especially for the price and the fact that they're always open no matter what time we decide go. The service is usually quick and friendly, and you can pretty much go in with $10 and walk out stuffed. The service was fast and courteous. I was nervous when I saw that they allowed smoking in this restaurant (it is in a casino, after all), but we couldn't smell any smoke from where we sat in non-smoking. I ordered the Seafood Alfredo and my daughter ordered the lobster rolls. The quality of the food was good for the price and the quantity was just right, but don't expect to take any leftovers home. I have unfortunately had to eat at this tacky restaurant twice. The food reminds me of something from Waffle House. Frozen, low quality diner "food." Except extremely overpriced. Went for an early dinner as we were at an event in the Event Center. Just barely edible. I ordered roast turkey dinner, the turkey wasn't roasted, it was clearly a frozen turkey roll of some kind. My skimpy salad had many brown areas on the lettuce. My husband had fried haddock dinner, which was also a frozen piece of fish that was very thin and dry. I've eaten at the Emerald many times and have always been happy there. On this particular night, my friend and I were looking for a pleasant, affordable bite to eat prior to attending a concert in the Turning Stone showroom. We were going to do the Seasons Harvest Buffet... until we learned that the price had been jacked up to $24 for weekend dinners! We went to the Emerald, hitting it just before the dinner crowd descended upon the popular place, and were promptly and courteously seated. I ordered the grilled chicken supreme, while my friend chose the daily special of steak and eggs. The chicken was a generous portion, grilled to savory perfection, smothered in plenty of onions, some mushrooms, and a couple of slices of Swiss cheese. The cheese wasn't completely melted, but that was no big deal. A colorful assortment of squash and red peppers was served on the side. I was pleased that the vegetables were hot; this can be hit-and-miss at many restaurants. I declined the offered side of fries (regular or sweet potato) and instead had a salad. This was fresh, and the raspberry vinaigrette dressing was tangy and tasty. My friend was very pleased with her steak and eggs (also came with toast). The good-sized t-bone was prepared medium-well, just as she had ordered, and was tender. The eggs were perfectly cooked. She couldn't get over the fact that this generous dish was only $6.99! My chicken was $9.99. With coffee and soda, our bill was less than $25... or what we would have paid for ONE of us at the buffet. Wait staff was very pleasant. read more

We went for a concert on a Tuesday night. This was the only restaurant that wasn't an hour and a half wait. We waited about 20 minutes, when we got seated the waitress came right over. She was cheerful and an excellent waitress.i wish I got her name, but the food came out promptly. Good food, although the green beans could have been cooked more. The maitre de came by and inquired about how we liked it, as did a floor manager. The waitress got us in and out in plenty of time for the show.
