I could tell they were concerned that people were going to start "moshing" but any time crown members started moving around, even just dancing, the security guards would grab them by the neck in a chokehold, drag them out the side exit & slam them down on the pavement. I witnessed this happen to dozens of audience members. I have never seen such violent techniques used for crowd control. It seemed to me that the staff really enjoyed beating up on the crowd of white kids. Also, a security guard who decided to just stand in the middle of the crowd, right next to me, stomped extremely hard on my foot & it is still sore several days later. I will never set foot in that horrible venue again.

Originally a farmhouse, a basement was dug out in the early 1900s to create a bar. The ceiling is only six feet high, and is smaller than the average basement. During Prohibition, it operated as a speakeasy. In 1933, it became the first establishment in Macomb County to receive a liquor license. From that point on, it officially went by Eastside Tavern. The tavern is now run by fourth-generation owner, Heather DeBruyn. No one has lived in the house since 2017, but "the basement bar" is alive and well. Since its opening, Eastside Tavern has featured a limited food menu. The burger is the most popular menu item, often hailed as one of the best in Macomb County. There are a few variations on the menu, all made with a half-pound patty. The bologna sandwich is another popular item. My personal favorite is the quesadilla. All sandwiches come with a basket of chips, and pepperoncinis are available upon request. The chip and pepperoncini combo is jokingly referred to as a "salad bar." The history and vibes make Eastside Tavern one of a kind. Live music takes place every Saturday, and raffles are occasionally held on Wednesdays. When you go, be sure to ask to see the apron.

We had a cheeseburger and a fried bologna sandwich, and both were legit. The burger was cooked perfectly, but did need a little salt and pepper. The bologna sandwich on grilled rye was a little sweet, but the meat was nice and crisped and it was delicious. You get a basket of ripple chips, peperoncinni by request. The music is loud and the service is solid, you will have a good time here. Just watch your head!

This place has a bit of everything, Ribs, Lobster Rolls, Mexican, several fish dishes plus the standard burgers and stuff. When ordering we could super size easily. For example my buddy did 2 Lobster Rolls and I did a full order of ribs. No pricing was discussed, which would make most uneasy, but the upcharge was minimal and glad we. Both did it. We passed on desert but know they are well known for it, so next time.

The restaurant itself was clean, and our service was prompt and friendly throughout the meal. During the daytime, however, the atmosphere felt quite dark and more like a bar than a traditional brunch spot. Our children ordered the Fruity Crème Waffle and Fruity Crème Pancakes with sausage. My husband ordered the lobster bisque and Eggs Benedict, while I had the breakfast burrito and a Bloody Mary. The kids enjoyed their meals, and my breakfast burrito and Bloody Mary were both good. Nothing particularly unique or memorable, but solid choices overall. Unfortunately, my husband's meal was more disappointing. His lobster bisque arrived barely warm, and the lobster on top was ice cold. He also felt that some of the seafood resembled imitation crab rather than lobster. To the restaurant's credit, he sent it back, but it wasn't a great first impression. The Eggs Benedict was decent, though not especially filling or noteworthy. Our biggest issue was the value. While the food was generally good, the prices felt very high for the portion sizes and overall quality. For example, one waffle cut into four pieces with a drizzle of sauce priced at $17 seemed difficult to justify. Several menu items left us feeling the same way. We really wanted to love Terry's brunch because we've had positive experiences there before, but ultimately the food didn't match the price point for us. While service was pleasant and the meal was okay overall, we left feeling underwhelmed and don't plan to return for brunch.

It doesn't feel thrown together at all. The finishes, the vibe, even the way everything flows... it's just nice. And the outdoor patio?? Huge. That said... the upstairs is LOUD. Like borderline "I can't hear the person next to me" loud lol. Maybe I'm just getting old but wow. Drinks are where they shine. Stick with beer or whiskey and you're golden. Food used to be rough, not gonna lie, but I gave it another shot recently and it was actually really good this time, so that was a pleasant surprise. Service has always been solid for me. Nothing over the top, just consistently good. Overall, it's one of those places you go knowing you'll have a good time, even if it gets a little chaotic. I'll def keep coming back.

Huge covered outdoor bar, a stage for live music, and a big fire pit that makes it feel like it should be the spot. The setup is there. But something just feels a little... off. I also didn't even realize they served food, which probably says something about how it's presented. That said, the music is always solid. It's a fun place to grab a drink after work and hang out for a bit. Just not somewhere I find myself staying long or choosing over other spots nearby. If I can offer anything to the team, I think leaning into the vibe of that patio and elevating the atmosphere a bit would go a long way.
