Also, Dr. Sunni has kindly been intervening in our elderly dog's vet tech appts to express the dog's anal glands himself, while keeping the appt at the the cost of a vet tech appt, since the techs were having a lot of difficulty expressing him. And, he said, keep making appts with the techs when I'm on schedule, so I can do it, and let's see how we can add more things to his diet, to help him keep his glands clean. I love this organic approach to helping my elderly dog. We've added organic pumpkin and organic flax seed. We're already seeing his gland much less full. I really really really appreciate Dr. Sunni's kindness as it's difficult to know my dog has a collapsed trachea and hear him cry out repeatedly in pain, while the techs express his glands. Now, we're increasing the time between those appts. And, I don't hear those cries now. So, I have to say, go CARE Animal Hospital. For the "care" I applaud you and have loyalty to continue recommending this hospital very highly.

I was really worried about my cat Bella and she needed to go under anesthesia so I was procrastinating a little since she is my little laughter and has asthma. Dr. Berg cares so much that she has even answered my emails after hours. Jordan is always on top of everything as well including immediate calls and emails too which I am sure she gets employee of the month a lot (jk, but she should with how helpful she is). I have had many vets in my life depending on where I was living. Now that I am a home owner, I'm grateful to have such a wonderful vet close by. I can't say enough good things about this establishment since everyone is always so nice, which is very calming especially when you go in there stressed or worried (like most of the time besides buying special food). Dr. Grover is very good and a real nice guy as well though Dr. Berg has been my main doc since she saved Bella's life and it's just worked out that way since I met her first. Dr. Berg and Jordan have probably put extra time in too for me since I send videos (asthma attacks) and we have established a great business relationship and they know how worried I am about my "little princess" as well as my car accident from being hit by the "texting driver". They have a great team there too and are all in sync with each other. Everyone at the front desk are extremely positive and helpful too so it has a wonderful atmosphere. Update: Bella, 12 years of age is now acting 5 years younger and has double the energy. She seems very happy now that her pain seems to be gone as well as she is waking me up at sunrise to open the blinds so she can watch the birds and etc. Her asthma has got a lot better too so I really can't express how happy I am to see her happy again! She is even playing hockey with her ball and loves her toys again. It puts a smile on my face even in these hard times of the pandemic. Thanks Dr. Berg, Jordan, and the staff for everything!

From the…read morefront desks, to the techs, to the Doctors/Surgeons, etc. very knowledgeable and they all wear their hearts on their sleeves. Recently our boy Finn dislocated his hip and needed surgery to fix it. We called every VCA around and everyone was booked, it was also a Saturday so that was understandable. Aurora was the last VCA on our list because it's an hour and a half southeast of our home. So we called to see if we could get him in, we were told yes but it was a 2-3 hour wait because they were packed as well. We waited because our Finn is worth the wait. Finn got in to see a doctor, they ran all of their tests/X-rays and kept us informed every step of the way. We eventually got into a room and were given the results along with all the options and costs, they were very professional and informative. We decided to wait until Monday to make an appointment for surgery, otherwise we would have had to pay the "weekend fees/rates. We called Monday to schedule an appointment for surgery. Surgery was scheduled for Tuesday. Tuesday morning we dropped off Finn and his food; we were told they would call us before and after surgery and again before bedtime, and they did. We arrived Wednesday afternoon to pick Finn up and we were given all of his paperwork and meds, then we instructed on what to look out for during the healing process and how to use his meds and to call if we needed anything and to schedule an appointment with our VCA for a follow up. From beginning to end Aurora Animal Hospital crushed it!, Knocked it out of the park!, and exceeded our expectations!!!! Great Job Aurora VCA Staff and Thank You!! Finn is doing great and on his way to being our energetic, happy boy again!! We Love VCA!!!!!!!!

The receptionists, vet techs, doctors--all wonderful--professional, warm, welcoming--and all took the time to carefully explain every part of the process, from the first appointment, diagnosis, surgery, recovery, financing, etc. Dr. Peacock is everything you'd want your vet (or your own doctor) to be. He is a highly experienced surgeon--and doctors at that level often lack the "bedside manner" so crucial to clear communication and a healthy doctor/patient/patient's family relationship. Dr. Peacock dispelled all those concerns the moment he walked in the room. He is warm and down to earth. He was so helpful--examining our dog, explaining the issue and appropriate procedure--and answering all of our questions (some of which we likely asked more than once) with patience, kindness, and candor. I can't express enough how positive the entire experience was. Every single person made us feel comfortable, confident in our dog's care, and welcome. And our dog is good as new (so to speak!) Thank you, everyone at Aurora!

I can't believe some of the comments on here regarding VCA. For example, it's too expensive. Did you honestly think that when you got your dog that you'd just be paying for food and shots? When you get a pup and don't want to pay for their care, you probably shouldn't get any kind of pet that needs to be taken care of. Getting advice from the internet? Does the internet go through veterinarian school like doctors do, I think not. I question the bad reviews on Yelp...VCA has been great to our pets!

How does this happen when I am paying this vet literally thousands of dollars, talking to them for years about his symptoms, xrays, exams, drug prescriptions, appointment after appointment, always with a large bill, and yet they have absolutely no clue. Wrongly diagnosed for years. How does this happen!? What am i paying them for?! I feel so bad for my dog! All I can say is watch out doctors, because AI knows more than you already. Btw thanks for the typical nonsensical response they posted on my review. I will never be back. My dogs best interests werent considered for years. It's a sad day when you ask the vca vets specifically if it is a knee issue and they reply that it is not and that it is a hip issue for YEARS and then your dog goes somewhere else for surgery and the surgeon confirms that it was completely the knee and the hip was 100% fine. If they really cared they would be trying to contact me. Why do i have to reach out to them if its so important to them? Bs

After aggressively rubbing bunny's ears and…read moretook in back to clean ears, then sent me away with ear drops, as soon as I got home, bunny was off balance, bobbing head up and down and off balance trying to hop. I brought bunny back the next day and this vet took no accountability for potentially be aggressive with bunny ears. First visit charged over $250 and I fought with them to in good faith refund or offer credit for ear drops I was now directed to stop using. This vet is only concerned with over charging. Next day they fought with me at front desk and was refusing to issue my credit for the meds that they agreed to credit because we didn't bring the meds back to them for the credit which is very odd because normally any other vet does not want you to bring Meds back for credit because legally, they cannot take the meds back. They were trying to get me to pay an additional $140 for next day check and we actually had to demand that they give us our bunny back. They were trying to not give us our bunny back because of the fact that they owed us a credit and would not give it to us without the medication in hand. My daughter had to drive all the way back home and then all the way back to give them back the eardrops in order for them to issue my credit and then all of a sudden they added an additional medication onto my bill, charging me over $90 After the credit, when they told me earlier that all I had to owe them for that next day visit was a little over $40. The bottom line is that this veterinary practice took no accountability whatsoever for creating an additional either inner ear, or neurological problem by the aggressive treatment to my bunny ears. I will never go back to this place and I hope that this is a message for those that might be using this vet for exotic pets in particular.
