Cute spot in downtown Mt. Prospect. They have daily specials, and Tuesdays are all day happy hour which includes some drinks and food. The cheese curds were a bit too breaded for my liking, but still good. They have different salads that you can get as a wrap- I'd definitely get one again!

Dined in on Monday and they had $10 slider special. 3 sliders of your choice. I went with 2 prime rib and one buffalo chicken. They were all good. We were seated quickly and had a great server. Standard sports bar atmosphere. Would come back

This was a great place to visit! A friend and I visited after a workout and it was perfect. Shoutout to Mimi for being a great server, we definitely recommend her if you ever have a chance to get her. But, in general, the overall experience was great! In terms of food - definitely get the cauliflower appetizer. This was probably the best cauliflower one I've had. I couldn't get enough. The El Fuego burger was really good and I would definitely get it again. I might want more hot sauce or something for a bigger kick but still really good! And I asked for medium rare and it was spot on. The ambiance was great, a great sports bar type of environment but still has areas in the restaurant that other vibes were, from what I saw. There were families, girls night type of groups, sports, etc. Honestly 5/5 we'll be back!

Emerson's Ale House has exactly what you are looking for in a Sports Bar. I've been here a number of times, but feel it's time for a review. Julie was my bartender/server and was phenomenal. Give her a raise. She did everything right. I ordered the Braised Rib Grilled Cheese (Julie's recommendation). It was full of flavor and accompanied by a Tomato Bisque soup which was perfect for dipping the grilled cheese in actually (not sure if that's the intention but the combo was super good). Mediterranean dressing for the side salad was excellent. I had a Red Ale (or a few) and watched the games. 90s music on while I watched was a plus as well. 5 stars to Julie and Emerson's Ale House!

Wow. Major disappointment. When we sat down at the rail, the bar tender left dirty glasses in front of us until we had to tell her to take them away. Kinda gave me the side eye when I made this request. Ordered a Makers rocks. See the picture. MAYBE a one ounce pour. I was shocked. She did ask if I wanted another. Well, no. When the bill came, the drink was $7.00. Redemption. But why didn't she up sell us into doubles instead a serving a thimble? I'll try again; but I won't be in a hurry.

Cajun chicken sandwich and sweet potato fries

Great place if you want to catch a reasonably priced bite to eat and have some drinks! The food is very good here and they have a big menu with a lot of different options. I also really loved the atmosphere - cozy and relaxed, and the interior is pretty and modern. We ordered the cauliflower bites for our appetizer and they were soooo good. They're breaded and coated in sweet chili sauce and served with ranch. I think it's a really unique appetizer that I haven't seen offered anywhere else. I had the Cajun chicken sandwich with sweet potato fries. The sandwich was way bigger than I expected! It was really good- melted cheese on top and peppers on the inside. Loved the fries and they were the perfect side! My friend says she always orders their ale house fried fish. I took a photo of her plate so you can see the portions they serve. I did try her mashed potatoes and they were delicious. Our initial server was very nice but could have done a better job. We didn't have utensils when we were given our cauliflower bites appetizer, and we were so hungry that we started eating with our hands lol. Server didn't come back for a long time, but we luckily got our utensils from the guy who served us our dinner plates. This is a simple mistake and I won't let it deter me from coming back in the future!

Have been here a handful of times and the food, service, and drinks are consistently good. A local bar but with really good bar food. I love their espresso martinis!! They are made with real espresso, not with a random flavored mixer. I order one everytime. I've ordered their wraps here and have enjoyed it. I ordered their chicken club which is a really nice portion and very good. Last night, I ordered their Prospect steak sandwich and was not disappointed. My boyfriend ordered their southwest wrap and loved it too. They offer carry out and I feel like the carry out options are as good as what you get in the bar so the quality is not compromised. Some cons: just not a fan of their fresh cut fries. Just wish they had better fries. I also wish they had a bigger specialty cocktail list. I know this place has gone through some ups and downs with new ownership, but whatever they have now is working nicely. Good drinks, good food, lots of TVs for sports, swing through and you won't be disappointed.

This was a spur-of-the-moment choice but ended up being very fun for drinks and dinner!…read more I LOVE tiki bars and my husband noticed this one in the area near where we happened to be on Google maps, so off we went! We had about a 15 minute wait for a table but it gave us time to peruse the menu in the car. They offer many classic tiki cocktails, a page full of seasonal drinks, a page of "Designated Driver" mocktails (nice to have an option for something other than just a Shirley Temple!), Polynesian appetizers and entrees, and then Lola's Pizza. For drinks, I got the seasonal Gingerbread Painkiller and my husband got a Green Flash mocktail. (Pro tip on the seasonal drinks: check the regular cocktail menu to see how many skull and crossbones are listed under the regular version of your drink, if applicable, to see if it's a super strong one!) Mine was creamy and spicy but quite powerful. Props to our waitress, Makayla, who checked if anyone at the table was epileptic, because normally the "flash" part of my husband's drink is a strobing LED ice cube; I actually am photosensitive, so it came in the drink in non-strobe mode and just glowed an alien green. She said this was the first time it had actually paid off to ask, but I'm glad she did! The food was tasty: I ordered rumaki, an old-school appetizer of bacon-wrapped water chestnuts that you don't see very often these days, and he got loaded fries. We also got a small Lola's Pizza, which was very good, with a crisp but also chewy crust. The atmosphere here is pure tiki, with a fountain, swag lamps, bamboo, and Hawaiian-influenced Christmas music playing for the season. Lots of big groups here; everyone seemed to be having as good a time as we were! What a laid-back gem in Arlington Heights! We'll be back. Mahalo!

We had reservations for 9pm and were able to be seated straight away. We arrived to find the address brought us to a barber shop. Fortunately, my husband had done some research and knew the drill--we made our way to a organ against a brick looking wall. On top of the organ was a bell--we rang the bell and shortly after the brick wall swung open and a woman came out to greet us. She had us play a tune on the organ and then brought us back into the speakeasy. The vibes are pitch perfect. Dimly lit with candles on tables and artful films playing on screens. We loved it. We were greeted straight away and brought water. You can also get a full meal here which we did not know but noted for our next visit. They had a special Valentine's menu as well as their regular cocktail menu. For my first cocktail, I got the paper plane which was light, lemony, and lovely with the adorable touch of a small paper plane pinned to the cocktail with a clothespin. For my second, I got one of their Valentine's specials which was essentially a Boulevardier made with a small float of mezcal on top. What an amazing addition to this classic cocktail! Truly, gave it added dimension, depth, and smoky flavor. I loved it. We also enjoyed their Valentine's dessert special, which was princess cake. It was a lovely blend of tart raspberry and warm almond--we loved it! The service was lovely throughout our experience. Get to it!

Established (as the wall told me) in 1936, I expected "Polish" to be in menu alone...and I was wrong. The gal behind the bar had an accent. Halfway through the Bears game, I started hearing folks concerning and cheering in Polish. I felt like I had slipped into a cool little club to which I would never have otherwise been invited. Loud (but not too loud) and boisterous. I read some other reviews talking about rude regulars: rubbish. Chicago is loud and direct. If you don't like that vibe, the shoulders in this city may just be a little too broad for you. The pierogi and the pyzy were great, both served with sour cream. The beers, while not draft, had a wide, Euro-leaning selection but still respected some local favorites (Old Style). Good food. Good folks. Confusingly brilliant ambiance. When I eventually did receive a drink, she continued to shout obscenities at me while I was attempting to close my tab. In an effort to de-escalate the situation, I initially left a generous tip. She looked at it, laughed in my face, and stated, "You think I care about your tip? I'm rich from bartending here." I requested a manager multiple times. When one finally came out, no effort was made to meaningfully address the behavior. The bartender continued to leave her station to yell at me, and management allowed it to happen. As I was leaving, I asked for the owner's contact information so I could report the incident. Instead, I was given a fake business card, told to "go f*** myself," informed that I was banned, and threatened by the doorman, who said he would "beat the s*** out of me." I have been a regular customer and have brought large groups here in the past. Based on this experience, I will not be returning. The conduct displayed by both staff and management reflects a culture that tolerates hostility toward paying customers.
