I could go on & on about this place - from the beautiful interior design and kind staff members to the amazing, creative food! My family and I loved every aspect of this place. We even played charades at the table and the general manager came over and played with us as well! The Black Cod was AMAZING! I would come back just for this alone! The Grilled Cabbage had a nice crunch and touch of spice! The Steak Frites were well seasoned and smoky! The New World Refresher was refreshing, indeed. One of the best mocktails I've had! I didn't really care for the gluten free strawberry cake, though. The presentation was beautiful and i'm glad they have an inclusive menu! Even though this wasn't my favorite bite of the night, I could see how someone could enjoy this. Overall, everything was outstanding in their own way! The Prospect has gained a new customer. I'll be back soon!

I really like this place! It has a certain vibe like a "place to be and to be seen". Then is has specialty events like BRUNCH N BEATS. There is a dj playing a variety of music from disco to club music. Very cool and posh! Now the food.... Very good it has the boujee menu minus the boujee prices. Definitely if you're in the area and want a good time, good food and drinks this is the spot in the Northern burbs. Check this place out... you might like it!!!

This is now officially my second visit to the restaurant. And this time it was for a family birthday celebration. So the others in my party this was their first visit to this restaurant. Again parking is quite a challenge, not only the immediate parking lot, but even on the street parking lot during peak hours. Valet is only available during the weekends. I do like the menu changes quite often and so I don't believe I've ever had the same thing here twice so far For this particular birthday, they were kind enough to bring a small birthday cake treat with a candle. And during this visit, I believe we had perhaps two managers who stopped by to check in on us to see how we were doing. I still gave them five stars, despite the fact that a bottle of wine that I wanted to order was already sold out. And there was nothing else similar on the menu to that particular bottle. Another great discovery during this visit was that the happy hour specials are allowed to be ordered at a table so that you don't have to sit at the bar, which was really great to see the wide application of it. Definitely would come back here again glad we scheduled a 5 PM dinner because by the time we left closer to seven this place was absolutely packed on a weeknight

Food and drinks were great! Fried Burrata was my favorite item!! The bread is amazing, def worth ordering as a starter. Service was great! And love the top floor ambiance better than the first floor. That rooftop is beautiful, only done daytime but looking forward to a late dinner night.

I've gone here three times so far. Most restaurants in the Northwest suburbs are unremarkable; however, this one really stands out. While pricey, the food is delicious and the service is impeccable. It has a fun and unique vibe. They change up the menu, and really focus on making several quality dishes. Both cocktails and mocktails are delicious. It's worth a visit.

The prospect was amazing. We went for a birthday dinner and the staff was so accommodating and helpful with making the night special. We started with drinks up stairs and they had a variety of inventive and tasty cocktails , with a nice varieties of mocktails as well. The rooftop has a nice overlook of the downtown mount prospect. The atmosphere was up scale but trendy. You show up in nice dress or a cute top with nicer jeans. The food was absolutely incredible. I wanted the rigatoni sauce recipe after eating it. We ordered a lot and shared it with the table. Everything was very fresh and filling but not over stuffing. All the dishes were very creative and the octopus was out of this world!! The garlic frites was a nice crispy skinny fries and the garlic aioli was very tasty as well! Overall , it was a 10 out 10 experience and it's definitely worth the visit! Also there is an up and downstairs to eat at.

We had the absolute pleasure of dining at The Prospect and were lucky enough to be seated at the Chef's Table--what an incredible experience from start to finish! The atmosphere is upscale and trendy, yet warm and inviting. The space is spotless and polished, with a vibe that sets the stage for something special. From the moment we walked in, the staff made us feel welcome and taken care of. Now, onto the food--where do I begin? We started with the grilled octopus--perfectly cooked, tender, and packed with flavor. The Wedge Salad was equally impressive: crisp, fresh, and the buttermilk Maytag dressing was rich and tangy in the best way. For pasta, we chose the Rigatoni (bolognese bianco, spring pea, basil, grana padano). Cooked al dente, the creamy sauce was beautifully balanced with a bright pop of lemon zest--absolutely divine. Our main dishes were showstoppers. The Black Cod with miso glaze, forbidden rice, and coconut curry was delicate and melt-in-your-mouth tender. The flavors were perfectly layered and the purple rice was the ideal pairing. The Dry Aged Burger (medium rare) was grilled to perfection--juicy, flavorful, and elevated by the onion jam, black garlic, and miso aioli. Even the fries were perfectly seasoned! For drinks, I had their fresh lemonade--light, refreshing, and not overly sweet. A great complement to the meal. And then--dessert! We tried the Milk Chocolate Mousse Cake and the Strawberries & Cream Budino. Both were phenomenal, but the Budino absolutely stole the show. Creamy, rich, comforting, with the perfect touch of sweetness from the strawberry jam and cinnamon streusel. It's officially one of my top 3 desserts of all time! Sitting at the Chef's Table made the evening even more memorable. It's intimate, interactive, and a front-row seat to culinary artistry. Chef Irving was incredibly generous, offering us samples of his marinated beef short ribs and kimchi--his personal creation that blew us away. Huge thanks to the entire team at The Prospect. Their passion, creativity, and attention to detail shines in every dish. Highly, highly recommend this place--especially the Chef's Table if you're looking for a truly special dining experience!

My second review for The Prospect. Excellent food and menu that changes often, top notch service, and a great ambiance. Never a disappointment!

Wonderful spot in Mt Prospect. Felt like we got to experience the high exclusive level of dining of Chicago but in the comfort of the burbs. Only one of the dishes were a bit lacking which was the Pad Thai. But honestly everything else was so good but what really made the visit and dinner the best was the ambience and staff. Everyone was so professional, nice and genuine too. Just on the ambience and the staff alone, you should come check this place out. Fantastic bartenders too and found me a new gin cocktail to enjoy!

Let me start by saying this isn't a paid review -- I just genuinely enjoy the vibes, the people, and the food at The Prospect in Mount Prospect, IL. Every time I come here, it feels like a mix between a family reunion and a five-star dining experience. First off, the crab cakes are next-level -- majority crab, barely any breading, just pure chunks of fresh crab. The coleslaw? Perfect. The flavor, the texture, the balance -- I swear I'd put that coleslaw in an IV on my deathbed. The seasoning is spot on, not overdone, just perfection. When I saw Chef Raul and the crew, it was all love -- catching up about new menu items, reminiscing on old favorites. That's what I love about this place: the energy is real. You're not just a customer; you're part of the story. I came for the crab cakes but ended up diving into steak, , and ice cream to finish things off. And then came the complimentary lobster/crab roll, which was an absolute banger. Honestly, the best part about The Prospect is how confident they are in their food -- and rightfully so. Chef Irvin told me, "It's almost like we never miss." And he's right. The best way I can describe The Prospect? It's like that unforgettable hookup -- so good you know you can't have it every day, but you'll still think about it long after. The food, the vibe, the experience -- all undeniably worth it. You might think the prices are high, but honestly, we spend more at places that don't come close to this level of flavor and quality. Big shoutout to Emmanuel, too -- the kind of server who's so in tune that you never have to ask for anything. Refills, silverware, to-go bags -- he's already got it handled before you even think to ask. If you haven't been to The Prospect yet, do yourself a favor and go. You'll leave full, happy, and already planning your next visit.

Brunch here was such an excellent experience. Our server whose name I cannot remember was so friendly and helpful with the menu items. He was constantly refilling our water glasses and taking additional drink orders on the fly without getting flustered. The food was exceptional. We loved everything we ordered and are already thinking about the next time we can visit. The entry way and downstairs dining area is beautiful, but the upstairs bar and outside patio is the place to be. I was very impressed with the decor and variety of seating from more formal tables to casual couches and chairs. The bathrooms were very clean and decorated to match the upscale vibe of the rest of the restaurant.

3.5 rounding up to 4. I wanted so much to love our experience because I've heard great things about the restaurant. We started with drinks, my husband got an old fashion, and I got a mocktail. I really enjoyed my Winter Blossom mocktail, it was light and fresh. We got three dishes to enjoy, the scallops, the burger and the cavatelli. The burger was super hyped up to us and was really recommended, while the flavors were there it wasn't the best burger that I've ever had and for the price I wanted to love it. The potatoes were hard and had no salt or flavor on them. Now the cavatelli and the scallops were my winning dishes. The scallops came with 3 pieces but the sweet potato purée brought all of the flavors together and it was incredible! The pasta was made fresh and you can taste the flavors of the mushroom and the sauce tied it all together. Our plates were quickly cleared as we were eating our dishes and our waiter was super nice. Their parking lot is not so big and can get pretty full during main eating times, and the restaurant is 2 floors. The restrooms are upstairs and I love that they are gender friendly and are always super clean. Overall, we had a decent experience and I look forward to their next menu rotation looks like.

A beautiful addition to downtown Mount Prospect. It was evident the restaurant was well designed, and a lot of thought went into the lighting and the seating. The main floor has table seating and seating with a view of the kitchen. The upstairs, were we sat had a bar, and in and outdoor seating. We went for brunch on Easter Sunday and was not disappointed. Service was outstanding. Our server, Renee, was sweet, attentive and extremely accommodating. The brunch menu is limited. I had the pancakes and multigrain bread. Both were side items, but were plenty. The bread was excellent, so fresh and moist. My husband had the diner breakfast, eggs, pancakes , potatoes and sausage. We also enjoyed mimosas. I especially liked the champagne came with various juices. We had a wonderful time and I look forward to returning for dinner.

For my second, I got one of their Valentine's specials which was essentially a Boulevardier made with a small float of mezcal on top. What an amazing addition to this classic cocktail! It was a lovely blend of tart raspberry and warm almond--we loved it! The service was lovely throughout our experience. Get to it!

The hostess appeared wearing a blue-and-white striped sweater hanging off one shoulder like she'd stepped out of an Italian perfume commercial. Around her neck was one of those little cornicello pepper necklaces, dangling just enough to suggest fate had finally decided to throw me a bone. Blue eyes. Not "blue." The kind of blue sailors used to abandon families over. She laughed at one of my jokes. That was all the encouragement my diseased brain required. I immediately conducted a full tactical assessment of the restaurant. The P.O.A. Index... ...was approaching DEFCON 1. Every direction I looked was another devastatingly attractive waitress carrying Aperol Spritzes with effortless confidence. It was like wandering into a government-funded supermodel relocation program. Then... A shadow fell across the table. A man. Our waiter was a man. Christ Almighty. The emotional whiplash nearly snapped my neck. It's like going to the zoo hoping to see lions and discovering the enclosure has been replaced with an accountant named Kevin. There are beautiful women everywhere, and somehow I'm discussing pasta recommendations with a guy who probably knows three different olive oils by taste. Cruel. Absolutely cruel. To his credit, the b@5tard was outstanding. Friendly. Fast. Knew the menu inside and out. Kept the drinks full. Never interrupted. The s.o.b. gave me absolutely nothing to complain about, which only deepened my resentment. The food, meanwhile, was infuriatingly good. The pizzas arrived looking like they'd been blessed by an Italian grandmother carrying unresolved anger from 1947. Thin crust. Fresh mozzarella. Just enough char to remind you that ovens are supposed to flirt with fire, not electricity. The pasta had that unmistakable handmade texture that makes Olive Garden feel like a felony. The cocktails disappeared with alarming speed. By my third Negroni, I was convinced I could hear Dean Martin narrating my life. Walking out, I glanced back toward the hostess one last time. She smiled. For approximately three seconds I considered abandoning my entire life to become a part-time sommelier with absolutely no qualifications. Then reality returned. The male waiter handed me the check. Four stars. The food was phenomenal. The cocktails were dangerous. The hostess should be classified as an Italian national treasure. And our waiter deserves a raise... despite committing the unforgivable crime of existing between me and the waitresses.

Abby was funny, fast, attentive, and somehow managed to appear at our table exactly when we needed something. More importantly, she made margaritas that tasted like they had been blessed by a tequila wizard. I'm convinced she put extra love in mine. Either that or she saw I was from out of town and decided I needed professional assistance. At one point I started wondering whether Abby actually works for Lady Dahlia or if she just travels the country improving restaurant experiences one table at a time. The food was solid. The atmosphere was great. Abby was a five-star experience trapped inside a four-star review. If every restaurant had an Abby, Yelp would go out of business because nobody would have anything to complain about.

We made a reservation because I'd heard this place can get pretty busy. Although it didn't seem too crowded when we first arrived on a Saturday, it filled up quickly throughout our meal. I definitely recommend making a reservation, especially if you're planning to come for dinner. As soon as we walked in, I was struck by how beautiful the restaurant is. Since the building was once a church, they preserved the stained-glass windows and cathedral ceilings, which give the space so much character. We ended up sitting on the patio because it was a gorgeous day, but I definitely want to come back and dine inside so I can fully appreciate the interior. The patio was modern, spacious, and completely shaded, making it very comfortable. Since it's located right next to the little lake, we also enjoyed a nice breeze throughout our meal. Our waitress was friendly and attentive overall, but there was one moment that stood out. My friend's baby accidentally knocked over a full glass of iced coffee, spilling it all over my friend's lap and onto the floor. The waitress watched as my friend cleaned up the mess herself but didn't offer to help or replace the spilled drink. Aside from that, the service was good. My friends and I all ordered something different, and everyone enjoyed their meals. I had the salmon poke bowl ($19), which was fresh, flavorful, and incredibly refreshing. The ingredients tasted high quality, and all the flavors worked really well together. It was more filling than I was expecting! Price-wise, I expected the menu to be more expensive than it actually was. I'm sure dinner prices are higher, especially for steak and seafood, but the brunch menu was quite reasonable. Most breakfast and brunch dishes range from $12-$20, making it a great value for both the quality of the food and the beautiful atmosphere. Overall, we all enjoyed our experience and I'll for sure be back! I'd love to try other menu items and come for dinner, too!

It's not intrusive, but we were sat outside. I can imagine it might have been hard to carry conversation in the very full and busy dining room. We both started with a mocktail, the fly boy, which was very fresh and delicious. My husband had the 20 oz rib eye which was slightly over done, but still seasoned well. I had the bone-in pork chop with fingerling potatoes and roasted Brussels sprouts which was delightful. Dessert consisted of the banana sticky toffee pudding and the strawberry chocolate cake and a decaf cappuccino. All were awesome. Our server (Lindsey?) was l friendly and attentive, while not being overbearing. Foxtail has definitely become a favorite restaurant of ours.

First point the waitress was very nice. First came The bread which was very good, then we ordered the mussels, average garlic sauce awful mussels, way too small And overcooked! You could barely see the mussels inside the shells. I ordered a Braciole and my wife ordered Veal Saltimbocca. We waited about 45 minutes for the food to come, my braciole was flavorless the stuffing didn't taste like anything the meat was tough and tasted boiled, the risotto underneath was Ok, only ate about 1/3 of the braciole, it truly awful. My wife's veal was inedible, very very tough, she couldn't barely cut it! The prosciutto on it was thick and overcooked, disgusting! We told the waitress who was sympathetic, said she would send the manager we never saw him instead she offered free dessert. Moral of the story! We left most of the food on the plates as it was inedible, worse $132.00 I have ever spent, we will not be back, I wouldn't feed that food to a dog!

We were so happy with our lunch experience. The food was better than other Italian restaurants we have ate at. Service was great. Full disclosure. It was a Saturday late lunch and the place was basically empty. Our server started us off with a small loaf of warm Italian bread. Dipping sauce was olive oil with spices and tomatoes. It was heavenly! My husband ordered the Vodka Rigatoni with small asparagus pieces. He said it was better tasting than my homemade Vodka Rigatoni! And he was right! I ordered the Eggplant Salad. What a showstopper it is! It tasted as good as.it looked. The fried eggplant was sliced thin, breaded and fried. The salad included mixed greens, mozzarella slices and tomatoes. Their prices are very reasonable. I urge everyone to go to Trezeros.

Social Inn has been on my to-try list for some time.  My husband and I finally had a chance to…read morecheck it out on a Monday evening recently.  I made a reservation via Tock that I already had an account for years, so that was simple. On a weekday evening, as expected, the restaurant was not busy.  We were promptly seated at a 4-top table (2 × 2-top) against the right wall, with some other 2-tops on both sides.  Like many reviewers had mentioned, the venue was beautiful, modern and chic. There were 7 tables occupied, including us.  The music that they had was not too loud, just that customers' conversations were amplified by the box shape open dining area.  If we focused enough, we could hear every conversation if we wanted to.  This was obvious when a table of about 6 women got seated at a table near the front door, some of them laughed and talked very loudly.  My husband and I just found it funny and didn't let that bother us.  However, when the restaurant is filled on busier days, it might be a different story. Our server, Patrick, was very nice and attentive.  Since they did not list drinks on their menu except those with alcohol, I asked him about non-alcoholic drinks.  After a brief "discussion", he asked me to leave it to him to make me a drink with mango.  He came up with a beautiful drink that was good and refreshing, with some mango flavor.  It was Virgin Paloma on our receipt for $8, which was reasonable.  He was very polite and checked in on us several times at appropriate times during our dinner.  The pace of the dinner was good, we spent a total of an hour and 15 minutes in the restaurant. Patrick might be the only waiter serving all the tables that evening, though. I also ordered Grilled Octopus ($22) which was very good, tender and flavorful, but was a little too salty to my taste.  The small pita bread wedges were warm and fluffy with some crispy edges, the beet hummus was creamy, and everything was delicious and tasted fresh.  I generously shared 2 little bites of octopus with my husband and I finished the entire plate, it was so good!  My husband really liked his Spiked White Fish ($29) and I shared a bite of that too.  He also had a House Salad for $6, that was a very good value.  He enjoyed a glass of Sauvignon Blanc Crossing ($12) too.  We also shared an order of Crème Brulee ($8), that was creamy and cooked perfectly.  We ordered a takeout order of Rigatoni with Sausage ($23), that was a good portion, and was still delicious and al dente the next day after being microwaved. I am so happy that we found Social Inn - a hidden gem in Plaza del Prado, it's not far from home, with comfortable and beautiful ambiance, excellent service (from Patrick), an attractive menu with enticing food (fresh ingredients and appealing plating), and reasonable prices, we will definitely be back!

We were in the area late in the day and remembered Social Inn was open, so we went. We ordered a variety of items. I had the Social Burger (at least 1/2 pound), we also ordered their chicken dinner salad and the beet hummus. Everything was delicious. I did order my burger medium and it was delivered well done, but it was still good. They also have one of the best gluten-free buns I've ever had. I do wish they were open at lunch time still, but I understand they need to be open for their busiest hours. Social Inn is a great option when you are in the Glenview area.
