We like to sit in the room overlooking the driving range. Our server Anthony gave us stellar service. We both had patty melts with fries. The only drawback is the long walk to the elevator. As I live near Buy in Arlington Heights and was at another golf range nearby look to get something to eat happen to come across this place online. So we found the place was a bit hidden and almost couldn't see it from the street. A very nice atmosphere looked clean from entrance to the bar and so on. Very nice server. Ordered the Provolone Sticks. So good I know it's 4 for $7.00 not only is it lowest price app it was so worth it. Imagine mozzarella sticks just homemade and pumped up! Now for Steak Sandwich it was a great old style sandwich. Cooked so well and bread was on point! Cheese melted to goodness! We visited with a party of five earlier this week, and everything was great! We ate outside on the patio (a must for us during the pandemic, until more is known). The weather was great, and the view was lovely -- it looks out over the parking lot, but that's barely visible, with the trees and grass across the street providing a nice backdrop. My first question to our server was whether the bartender knows how to make a Manhattan, up, and she assured me they did. So I ordered it with my usual whiskey, with two cherries and it was perfect. So perfect, in fact, that I had another one later in the evening! And the bartender even came out to check on my drink, so I had a chance to thank her, too. I love calamari, but not the tentacles. I was so excited to find out that theirs were the rings only, so we ordered a couple servings for the table, and they disappeared quickly! We asked for both the marinara and buffalo sauces, and they obliged happily. I didn't try the buffalo, but one of our friends said it was very good -- spicy but not painful -- and the marinara was also very good. I ordered the Shrimp basket, but with their soup of the day, Cream of Chicken with Rice, instead of the fries. When I tasted the soup, I knew it was going to be a good meal. It was thick, creamy, and with just the right mix of rice, vegetables, and chicken - very tasty. The butterflied, breaded shrimp were flavorful and good-sized, and the coleslaw was creamy and delicious. We were too full for dessert, but I've just noticed a picture of their funnel cake sticks here on Yelp!. We'll have to try those next time! And that won't be too long from now -- this one earns a quick trick back, probably in the next week or two. read more

We went here for my mother's funeral luncheon. The Service was so attentive and compassionate and very efficient. The food was amazing. Everything was cooked perfectly. The pasta sauce was delicious and pasta al dente. The sausage was amazing. And the lemon chicken was so tasty ...very authentic Italian. The young lady and young man servers were extremely attentive and very polite and very fast service, I recommend coming here for any occasion. Went there last night, we ordered a buffalo chicken sandwich,, the breaded chicken was so dry, and the edges were literally hard around the edges.... This patty must have been frozen for a long time then put in the microwave and was over cooked. The other sandwich was a California chicken sandwich, it was topped with a few things, one was avocado..... the avocado looked like paste.... Unbelievable.... We will NEVER go there again. read more

It's easy to underestimate the quality of the food because the restaurant is attached to a golf course. The food is actually pretty good and the staff is always friendly. Ambiance could be a little upgraded. The food is typically bar food, but the execution is solid. The wings are my go to. The flatbreads are also very good but way too much for one person. The beer selection is varied and you'll find a lot of regulars perched at the bar. There is a larger dinning room and deck if the bar looks busy. read more

decent sports bar in des plaines. i mean for what it is, a sports bar inside a golf driving range, it's got a wonderful food and beer selection, plus plenty of seating and tvs for all your sports watching i know they do trivia nights on wednesdays which is fun. have yet to go to one but it's nice to know it's an option. overall, the food was good. nothing spectacular but it was not at all bad. for a sports bar, 4 stars is normally what i give as the highest since 5 stars is a little much for the limited menu and options. the staff is wonderful and everyone is so nice. after hitting some golf balls or just needing a place for a drink, club casa is a wonderful option to go to. i suggest their wings and burgers. plus they got tall boy cans of pacifico which is a huge plus for me. and you can bring them out to your driving range bay. awesome little cafe and i'll be coming back whenever i need a pick me up during my practice sessions read more

Years ago, my dad's baseball team (and families) would spend summer evenings on the outside patio of Club Casa, eating food and devouring pitchers of beer. It was good times all around. We dined in the cafe as a family occasionally, but as time passed, we became regulars at other area restaurants. Recently, my parents have become regulars at this cafe again. I no longer live in the area, but you can bet that if I'm in town, I'll be here with them. It's not my favorite place to be (I don't like to eat at the same place all the time), but I enjoy being with my parents. Food is always scrumptious and filling. Last time I was here, I tried the baked goat cheese with marinara sauce appetizer and it was amazing! I could eat that as a snack every day! For dinner, I had the cajun salmon with a side of garlic/olive oil penne and green beans. YUM. Other times, I've ordered different fish dinners (I really like fish, apparently) and have always been satisfied. The menu offers burgers, steaks, pasta, salads, sandwiches, and so forth at typical cafe prices. Yes, it is somewhat standard American cafe dinner fare, but they do a great job serving up some delicious meals. You can sit in the cafe area or the bar. We usually end up in the bar -- which I don't like for eating. It's great if you're there for the bar atmosphere (the bartenders are excellent), but the blaring televisions, bright lights, and LOUD noise (from chatter and the kitchen nearby) make me VERY cranky. Just had my son's baptism reception there this past Sunday (August 12th) and everything was great! The food was delicious, the workers were attentive & all my guests had a great time! From inquiring about the venue a few months back, they were very responsive & answered all my questions. I've heard good things about their River Room banquet hall from others before so I wanted to try it out for my son's baptism. With Decent pricing for buffet style, we loved the chicken Marsala, the Alfredo bow tie pasta was a big hit with guests, the mash potatoes, veggies and Italian beef sandwiches did not disappoint. My fave was also the Sundae bar for dessert with kids and adults both had a great time making their own sundaes! There was so much food left over, I was happy to see that they packaged all of it for us to take home. I will definitely recommend this venue to others and looking forward to coming back again to try other food! I read some reviews on Next Door when looking for somewhere to have a Good Friday Lent Fish fry. Club Casa Cafe up several times with great reviews. Mind you, I'm from Buffalo, NY where fish fries are a Friday thing anytime of the year. Fish the length of your plate, with Macaroni and potato salad, coleslaw and hot French fries. We also have found awesome fish fries up in Wisconsin similar to the New York Style. So, when I read about the fish fries here, I thought I'd give Casa Cafe a try. We went early given it was Good Friday. 4 pm. Good. Lots of seats open around the bar area. We were approached by our waitress in a timely manner. Offered drinks and menu. We placed our order. Both got the soup of the day ~ White Claim Chowder. Hot and delicious. I ordered the Cod fish dinner with choice of potato. I opted for the baked potato. My husband when with the Walleye with roasted potatoes. Our food arrived in a timely manner. The cod arrived and looked like big fish sticks sitting next to the baked potato. It looked okay but the battered coating was tough. I had a hard time breaking it off to get to the fish. Honestly I couldn't eat it. I did enjoy the baked potato. My husband said his walleye was worse. His fish looked no better and was a few bucks more. Really tough battered coating. Over cooked?? Maybe not as fresh as it should be? When asked if I enjoyed my cod, I replied not really. I couldn't eat it. The battered coating was too tough. Waitress replied with I'll be right back after I speak to the manager. Next thing I knew she collected my plate and said nothing. I thought well okay. The bill arrived next with no adjustments. She dropped it and ran. Never giving us a response or even an I'm sorry you didn't enjoy your fish. Well....we paid the bill. Tipped her for her efforts but we won't be back. I don't recommend this place for a fish fry. We go to Club Casa all the time and we've probably ate everything on their menu. They have an excellent Fish Fry on Fridays but there might be a wait for the table. They have food and drink specials daily plus a seasonal specials menu that run with the seasons (Korean Steak, Fish Tacos, . All their pasta dishes are fantastic and the Reuben is one of the bests I've ever had. They also have flat bread pizza with meat lovers my favorite. The restaurant is tricky to find as it's part of the Des Plaines Golf center. If you facing the front desk, Club Casa id to your left. They also have patio seating if you prefer eating al fresco. Hit Golf Center Desplaines this afternoon and decided to grab a bite at their club restaurant. Started off with the daily drink special, bloody mary. Asked for extra spicy, which we got. However, all the spices were at the bottom and not mixed in. And there was way too much ice, so much that you couldn't stir without making a mess. After stirring a little bit, aside from the tomato juice having little to say, it was spicy and drinkable, but this bartender needs to learn how to make a decent bloody mary. My husband didn't drink his because while they claim that there is no horseradish in the mix and none added, we both tasted it and he's allergic. Better safe than sorry. My husband ordered a Mediterranean salad with tuna and I ordered a burger. So, maybe its us, but when a salad menu description reads "tuna, mixed greens, artichokes, tomato, mozzarella, onion & kalamata olives; served with vinaigrette", does anyone expect canned tuna? Especially at $11.50? I don't know about anyone else but if that's what we had interpreted, we would have kept on looking at the other options. Nothing worse than tasting that "canned" taste in a restaurant meal. As for the burger, I had broken the edge to get a taste to see if it needed salt and I found a little surprise. Check out the photo. Now, it was very little but it was very blue. And while I'm not all THAT anal about food prep, let's just say I used a knife and fork for my burger and chopped that sh*t up to make sure there were no other little surprises. I showed the server and she did offer to change it but I just told her to tell the kitchen to watch their prep work to prevent it from happening again. On a positive note, their house chips rock!! Maybe a little salt is needed but that's subjective. Anyway, for the price, I do expect better and especially for the location. I think we would only come back here if there was no time to go anywhere else. read more

Attached to the Golf Center this is a nice place to have a beer after hitting golf balls on the range of out on the course. I like it because they have Sam Adams on draft. The buffalo wings are crispy and the fish fry offers three choices. Outdoor seating, bar or dining room seating as well. Loads of TV's in the bar area and it can get very loud. read more

This place is a pretty nice and quiet (weekday lunch anyway) golf club bar/restaurant. It's kind of hidden and secret, and most folks would not be looking for a restaurant at this driving range. They have a good valued and generous M-F lunch menu at $6.95 for a two-item lunch. I had a 1/2 lb Pepper Jack cheeseburger with a wedge salad for that price. Wife had their pork chop sandwich (with caramelized onions) and Parmesan fries for $8.50 from their regular lunch menu. The young lady server was friendly and accommodating and had both of our sandwiches sliced in half when we mentioned we would be sharing them. The bread was fresh for both sandwiches and the pork chop was thick and juicy. I'd say 4.5 stars overall for their good prices, good taste, and generous portions. They also have a decent beer list for those inclined during their visits. On the weekends, I think the place operates more in the sports bar category. read more

I have to go with 5 stars. We hit some golf balls on a Friday night and then went over and had $9.99 all you can eat fish fry! The fish is cod but for $3.00 more you can get perch. I don't think you need to upgrade because the cod was fabulous! It comes with soup or salad and fries or their homemade chips! I recommend the chips! They have a decent beer selection, and the beer prices were average. The manager came around and check in with us. We waited 15 minutes for the check because she was sitting with some people talking and she gave me a dirty look when I kept asking for the check. We had a reserved tee time and needed to leave. When she gave me the bill, she gave me a snide look. Her treatment felt really racist and I felt extremely uncomfortable afterwards. Unlikely I'll ever come eat here again because of her. Club Casa Cafe is located on the east side of River Road at the first traffic light north of Golf Road. There's adequate off-street parking in front. Six of us went on a cold Saturday evening. You enter the restaurant through the bar into a small dining room. I ordered the Prime Rib special for $10.00. It came with horseradish sauce, baked potato and broccoli. I also ordered a side salad. The restaurant offers a great value. They post the daily specials in advance on their website. Don't expect the prime rib to be like the $42 version at Gibson's, but it was tasty and cooked as ordered. By 8:30 PM we were the last table remaining. I was shocked to see them cleaning the dining room. We were not pressured to leave, but felt a bit uncomfortable hanging around. All in all a very nice experience.
