Wow!!!! Emilia's has blown me away!!! Everything is made to order - they are so accommodating with food sensitivities and allergies! Gluten free pasta is available! Nick was the best server- we tried his martini and the arthur ave and had a blast. The seafood pasta was one of the best I've had in NYC. They made it with so much seafood!!!! And the chicken trefunghi was also great!! It's our waiter Nicks favorite. All deserts are homemade! You MUST dine here.

3.5 stars. Mostly decent, nothing to write home about. Appetizers Pesto arancini--3 arancini, ok but not especially flavorful. Clams oreganata--6 microscopic clams for $17. Pathetic. A ripoff. Entrees Salmon Livornese--Quite good; a decent portion of salmon, lots of capers and olives, a nice smooth sauce. Homemade gnocchi--A decent vodka sauce, an overwhelming slab of burrata in the middle. Eggplant parmesan--Sauce was overly thick and acidic. Slow service.

Emilia's 2331 Arthur Ave. Bronx, NY 10458 Lasagna Do not touch the plate because it is piping hot. The Mozzarella cheese has a perfect char; watch out for the cheese pull. The noodles are hand pulled one by one and layered with ground beef.

I love getting food on Arthur ave. I was slightly underwhelmed by Emilia's, sad since we share the name (lol). We sat down and were swiftly greeted. Now where it went wrong was how long this place took. We ordered the salad and antipasto, not a single thing on the plates was cooked. It took 40 minutes to come out. Then another 20 for our entree. The food was SO good. I will give it that. The waiter was very stand offish towards me like I annoyed him with questions and orders. We ordered dessert to split and for the four of us, they brought two spoons. Just subpar compared to the service you can get elsewhere

What can you comment on a dish that's name after its location? LOL. I picked this dish at first considered the balanced of its ingredients used in terms of nutrition. And I found myself curious in its representation of this neighborhood, Belmont in Bronx. A Neighbor that is well-known with a mix of Italian, Latino, and Albanian. This is a well executed dish at some point quite difficult to "operate" (I meant to cut it like a steak without having the baby broccoli fell apart). The favor is rich. The chicken is thinly sliced and it successfully prevented it being too dry from the grill. The chicken is slightly marinated with salt and garlic which perfectly matched the favor of the baby broccoli. The mozzarella cheese meant to bind everything together and yet, it made it like a pizza in chicken crusts. This dishes is savory. The broth carried its chicken favor with onion, celery, carrot (my wild guess of the making of the chicken broth) brought together a lot of immersion story between Italian, Latino, and Albania. It told me a lot of stories about this neighborhood in the hard time of mingling between immigrants and the anthropological transition of Belmont. It brought to be a lot of sentimental and emotional stories for immigrants here who worked hard for their family and lived up their culture. The Penne in marinara sauce as a side dishes bring it to a big reunion but also a balance of the nutrition pyramid. Last but not least, remember to save a piece of bread to finish the broth on your plate. You won't regret embarrassing yourself with its taste. This is a dish deserves its name. The ambience is comfy. buon appetito

Very good! Authentic Italian, clams oreganato, mussels marinara appetizer delicious! The seafood pescatore was cooked just right! Prices are reasonable, quality is great, service is great. Try it! We will be back!

This is a classic no frills old school Italian spot on Arthur Ave that serves up Italian comfort food-the kind your nonna would've made. There is outside dinning in the back patio with a roof overhead so you're covered if it rains. The linguine alle vangole $27.95 was the highlight and reminded us of dishes served in Napoli, Italy (the baby clams were delicious!). The meatballs are very tasty as well.

Emilia's has good food at very reasonable prices. The Fried Calamari was very crispy and even came with some legs. The Chicken Daniela was an elevated chicken parm and it was definitely worth getting. The service was pretty slow but the waiters were all friendly. I'd definitely try this place again

Great food. Lovely servers. Chicken Francese was fabulous! Delightful ambiance. First time on Arthur Avenue -- I shall return!!

I also took home a side order of escarole, sauteed in olive oil and garlic, and grated Parmesan on the side. The Chicken Scarpariello ($37 w/option ) is great and quite filling. The Chicken is coming from the thighs as best I can determine and is chopped up with a few bones that can be handled with a knife and fork. I would definitely order this always on the bone for flavor. You have the boneless option, but go with the bone. The cherry hot peppers add a definitive kick, above Fra Diavolo level, but nothing anyone cannot handle. The sausage was overcooked, but the potatoes were spot on. The red sauce, ziti and Parmesan calmed the moderate heat down if anyone is concerned. The escarole was a good accompaniment, but the spice level overwhelmed the wine with this dish. By the way, I can now confirm this $48 Montepulciano is of the Sangiovese varietal from Montepulciano D.O.C. The Chicken Scarpariello with the added option is also a more fulfilling meal than the Veal Martini and I can understand why it is a leading dish on the menu at Enzo's. I find it to be equally good too, so no downgrade in the rating. It highlights the consistency of the dishes served by the kitchen with steady chefs over the years. Marcello, my server, told no lies. The Double Cut Pork Chop ($33) was a bit more satisfying and delicious. It's thick, about two inches or more thick. They trimmed most of the fat, but left enough for added flavor. Notice the darkened color of the fat trim that has been seared and caramelized. Yum! The thick chop is cooked all the way through, but it's not tough or challenging to cut. It's still juicy and somewhat tender inside, with the added juice and flavor of the sauce. Over the escarole and pasta with garlic and dusted with Parmesan for that pop, your palate is in for a most satisfying experience. The Double Cut Pork Chop is one of those dishes that will keep people coming to Enzo's. It also paired better with the wine, given the heat from the hot cherry peppers was less pronounced and not overwhelming for the relatively low tannin and low acidity wine. I have had Sangiovese that drink a lot bigger and don't even mention the Brunellos. Enzo's of Williamsbridge is not overcharging in my opinion. They could have increased prices more on account of inflation, but they have not. Their loyal patrons would balk of they did. The dishes on the menu generally range from the high twenties to high thirties for generous servings. Wines by the bottle are reasonably priced and I can see why one would take your family here or take someone on a date here with the quality and value proposition served up consistently since 1998. Enzo's is a go to restaurant for many loyal patrons. I would and will return easily and can give Enzo's high marks. Just seat me inside the main dining room next time please. 4.0 very solid and consistent stars!

The warm bread was soft, fresh, and nicely herby with what tasted like oregano sprinkled on top. Both were flavorful and well prepared. For entrées we ordered the Pappardelle alla Bolognese with homemade pasta and meat sauce, along with the New Zealand lamb chops over broccoli rabe and mashed potatoes. The pasta tasted fresh and authentic, and the lamb was tender and cooked as requested. Unfortunately, the night ended on a disappointing note because of the service. Mario was pleasant, but another server, I believe named Alex, overheard a conversation and became argumentative and sarcastic toward the birthday woman's son. It felt very unprofessional for the setting and completely changed the mood of the dinner, causing everyone to leave earlier than planned. The 93yr old woman was shaking.
