Post-COVID, I work from home and hardly wear makeup anymore and I've never been a girl that liked the look of makeup caked to someone's face. I spoke to the team at Emily Lynn & Co. I never felt so beautiful in my entire life. My maid of honor said her hair/makeup was even better than on her own wedding day! On my trial day, I had so much fun with Erin and Tracina hanging out and chatting, and the look they created for me was exactly what I asked for. Months later when it was time for my wedding, I decided to completely change up my look right before the big day!! They were not at all phased and on the day-of, they both created an entirely new look for me that was once again, exactly what I asked for. We went for a bold winged liner with electric blue bottom eyeliner and a hint of peach on the lid - it was so cool and felt really true to me! It looked bridal but not at all traditional, which was exactly what I wanted. The foundation and skincare was light and lasted all day. Tracina's hairstyle blew me completely away. I normally have extremely straight, fine hair that won't hold a curl. We added some clip-in extensions and she created loose waves and volume that miraculously lasted all day. I worked with Julie for my engagement photo hair and makeup, and not only am I absolutely IN LOVE with the look she created, but I also feel like I made a new friend! Both Emily and Julie made sure to get my inspo photos, and re-assured me that the look was definitely achievable even though I look nothing like the girl in the photos. We had a last minute change in plans as our photo shoot was in Sequoia and there was a snow storm coming in, and Emily was super communicative and accommodating, and coordinated an earlier start time with Julie so we could get out the door earlier. I booked Emily Lynn and Co. to do my makeup for a family photoshoot a couple of months ago. My experience with Emily and Erin (my makeup artist) was wonderful! Emily was very responsive to all my questions. Their booking system is great, and they have a contract which confirms your booking. So I really appreciated that. Our photographer cancelled on us only a few weeks before the photoshoot which was really stressful. While trying to find another photographer who would be available on that date, I reached out to Emily to see if they would be able to change my makeup appointment date if I can't find a photographer who is available. Emily was really responsive and was willing to change the booking date. Thankfully, I found a great photographer who was available on our original date. On the day of the photoshoot, Erin was on time, and really took the time to understand what kind of look I wanted. Emily is likely the sweetest and cutest person I've ever met! I got married this past May and Emily and a team of two other artists did hair and makeup for my 6 bridesmaids, mother, mother-in-law and myself. It was really important to me that we didn't have to start hair and makeup at the crack of dawn for a 5:30pm wedding (who still feels fresh by then?!). A couple of other artists thought I had lost my mind but Emily was happy to accommodate this by starting at noon! Emily has a calming presence and was patient as I figured out what look I wanted. Highly recommend working with Emily Lynn & Co! I hired them for my wedding last weekend. Emily did makeup for me (the bride) and some of my bridal party. Andy did hair for the bridesmaids. Both were super professional and fun to be around on the wedding day, and the results were gorgeous! In the booking process, I had to add more people to the timeline after I'd already booked my services. The team was very flexible and helpful in adjusting my wedding day timeline to make sure we got everything we needed. Great customer service. During my makeup trial, Emily and I discussed the visual references I'd sent over and she had me approve all the steps of the look to make sure we got it just right. After my trial I felt so confident about my wedding day overall because I knew I'd look great. I love that I still looked and felt like myself -- just a glammed-up version of myself. On the wedding day my bridesmaids and mom loved sitting in the chair with Emily and Andy. They all had different hair and makeup looks they were going for and they were all executed perfectly. Everyone felt amazing. Emily gave me a touch up kit to keep with me throughout the night, but I didn't need it other than the hair comb. Even after sobbing during the wedding ceremony (tears of joy lol) my makeup was totally fine. My curls stayed on their best behavior even through tearing it up on the dance floor. I was so impressed. If I could give Emily a 10 star I would. I LOVED! my makeup and for the first time in my life I was able to have hope with having a better shape with my eyebrows because she did a great job shaping them. She left them gorgeous and my makeup lasted from 5am through heat in San Bernardino all day until I washed my face at night. My hair was left so pretty thanks to her. She was very punctual, came 15 min before the start time and was very friendly, clean and ready. Highly recommend her for your big day read more
