Bc we all know as under California law, merchants are required to clearly post their refund policy unless they offer full cash refund, exchange, or store credit within seven days of the purchase date. Failing this requirement, customers may return goods for a full refund within 30 days of the purchase. But suing isn't my thing, especially for minority owned business. Word of mouth and karma will suffice. So my last experience with them will be just that, MY LAST EXPERIENCE.

While the receptionist was processing my card, I gave her a $20 bill and asked for cash back. At this point, she stated she had to run next door to get cash. I didn't think much of it at first and to convenience both the receptionist and the technician, I offered to Venmo the tip to the tech. I received a phone call a few hours later from an unknown number, which happened to be the husband of the owner/co owner of the salon. He said that the receptionist must have not confirmed my payment and proceeded to ask if I could check my bank account to see if the money was taken out. While on the phone, I checked and saw that there was no money taken out from today's service. At this point, he asked that I cash app or Zelle, which I agreed to do. I cash apped the business $10 less than the cost of services as this was already not one inconvenience, but two. While I tipped the technician 20% of what I should have originally paid, I realized that paying them the full amount wouldn't be appropriate as their employees mishaps/lack of $12 change was not my issue. I explained to the husband through text why I paid $10 less; not because I felt I owed an explanation, but because I felt that was the right thing to do. Here's how a "business owner" chose to answer. Completely unprofessional and definitely won't be returning. UPDATE - A response to the owner's comment left on my review: I did not steal from your business as I gave your receptionist my card so she could charge $40, which was the full price of the services I received today. A mishap on your employee's end resulted in the charge being left unprocessed during the time I left. Stealing would have been if I ran out of the store with no intention to pay, which is clearly not what happened. As mentioned in my original review, I thoroughly enjoyed the conversation with my technician, so of course I was happy. I even had the intention of coming back (again, stated in my original post) as I don't believe in one service being the determining factor in whether or not I will be going back to a salon. I have had instances with the woman who has been doing my lash extensions for the last 7 months where I felt she did my lashes better on some days while other times were a bit more mediocre. So, please know that I tipped my technician what she was deserved.
