In summary, Cory outsourced the entire project to CMS Construction - Sixto Mondragon - who did an absolutely TERRIBLE job - and did not even finish the project. The concrete they poured was unevenly finished and inconsistent. Their framers are also their trim carpenters - among other duties - none of which they seem to be very skilled at. They did not install proper concrete footers for the patio extension - didn't add any base before pouring concrete on the new driveway - installed tongue and groove without staggered spacing (meaning all boards started and stopped at the same place) - installed an awning with nearly no slope and put shingles on its roof and that is just a part of the mistakes. During the project, the subcontractor was telling us he didn't have money to continue with the project while Cory was saying that we had to work it out with the subcontractor. It was a complete mess. Cory only came to the jobsite twice - during two months. Cory sent a text terminating the contract. We had to tear out all of the concrete they poured (which was three full truckloads) - remove most of the cedar tongue and groove they had improperly installed - tear out all of the stone fireplace they improperly installed - replace about 25% of the brick they had laid - and add footers to the concrete patio extension to prevent the slab from cracking. Please - don't do business with this company. It's the luck of the draw - since they sub out all / most of their work - whether you get a good sub that will do a good job or not. And you definitely cannot count on Cory to be there to manage or warranty their work. Just look at the attached pics of the "quality" of work that was performed by Ultimate Choice. We originally bought our home back in Jan 2023 but the gutters were not installed properly and we also had a ceiling leak. Jonathan, who is the project manager at BSES, was able to come out quickly and address thoroughly all his findings with photos and even went as far as the attic to recommend even new decking with a radiant barrier. I also never once felt forced into getting a new roof because he also gave me the option of a roof tune-up. Short story, we ended up getting a new roof because I didnt appreciate the poor and sloppy work from the previous contractors and wouldn't want them working on my roof again. So now I just wanted to highlight some of the positive experiences I had while working with Blue Sky Energy Solutions: 1. Fast and efficient- They started on time and kept to the schedule of finishing my roof in one day. 2. Quality work- They replaced rotten support beams and used proper length nails for fastening shingles to decking. The shingles were cut straight with sharp blades and looked very neat, even, and symmetrical. They even came out the next day and adjusted any shingles or vents to the highest of standards. I really liked they even did a final walkthrough inspection on the third visit to make sure everything was done accordingly. 3. Clear Communication -All my questions were answered before, during, and after with lots of explanation and detail. I could call, text, or email and never felt like a nuisance to them. 4. Organized- Jonathan was able to get all the supplies for the roof delivered before the roof job and was even able to put up roof netting before his crew even showed up to do the work. He even scheduled our gutters to be installed a couple days after and they came on time too. 5. Clean and tidy- they used netting to catch all roof debris, magnetic nail rollers for nails, and they made it look like they were never there. 6. Great Customer Service- Jonathan was exceptional. He gave us 110% at every visit. He answered all my questions, checked all the work thoroughly, and very detailed oriented. He was the only roofer I contacted out of 3 that actually told me there was something wrong with my brand new roof. He was just a really nice genuine guy and treated me like family. 7.
