These guys are great. Have used them several times. It's the cheapest emission check in the city. Be advised that there usually is a line of people waiting, but the guys are very good about making sure people stay in line and they are efficient in moving you through the process. I probably waiting no more than 10 minutes. My car is electric with small gasoline backup that must be checked. One of the guys noticed this when I was in line and took me around to the back because "special attention" was required. He was friendly and helpful. read more

I went to scenic emissions nearby and they weren't open. Found this place by accident and ended up being CHEAPER ($12) and SUPER FAST! This was my first time here but from the reviews, it looks like they actually STICK WITH THEIR STATED HOURS unlike the idiots over at scenic. Best emissions test place around! Cheap, friendly, quick. What more could you need? When our car was tested we sat outside in a shed as everything was being performed on the car. They noted it would take 5 minutes and they were very accurate with this time count. Sitting in the shed was very pleasant and there was a TV and water complimentary. Once the car was ready we paid and drove off. Very good experience and will continue to go back here to get my cars tested. I took my car here this morning and it was fine before Mr. Boi tried to test it. He plugged his machine up to my vehicle while my car was still running and proceeded to start reviving my engine really hard and for a long time. I've never had ANYONE do this for an emissions test. He did this a few times, and then all my service lights came on, on my dashboard. I asked him why he revved my engine like that and that I've never had anyone do that before. He said that his machine wasn't working right so he revved the engine to get it to come on. He turned my car off and he couldn't get my car to start. It finally turned over but then my engine light came on. He then tells me that basically since I am questioning why he is revving my engine, that he refused to test my car. I asked him for the owner's name and he said he was the owner. I then asked him his name and he refused to give it to me at first. It took several times of me asking and to get a look at his badge to get his name. When I tried to back out, I noticed that my car was jerking when it switched gears. I had to take my car to a mechanic. Again, my car was just fine before Mr. Boi tried to test it. I have been to this location before and they NEVER did that before. Beware!!! These folks have a cheap testing machine that has problems with many models of vehicles. They'll tell you that you have a computer code problem but when you take your vehicle to a mechanic to have the code read, it indicates that the computer loses contact with the testing machine. You'll end up paying twice since they can't retest your vehicle properly. I recommend finding somewhere else. If you go here, you go at your own risk. Why bother wasting your time (and the $!!!), go somewhere else! read more

This is a definite must stop when trying to get your emissions test done for your registration. Never a line and you can always drive right up and get your test done. The technicians are very friendly, fast and efficient. The price of the test is $12 and you always get print-outs of what you need for your registration. You cannot beat this place! The location can be a little weird with it right off an off-ramp of 285 East and they share a parking lot with the gas station and some weird eateries, so that can be a little tricky. But for what you go here for, fast and quick emissions testing, you cannot beat it. read more

With my repairs complete I need to get my car retested but they have been closed for over a week now due their computer being down. No frills, best price in the metro area at $10. We didn't have to wait either time we went. Minor issues: credit card machine wasn't working, and the shed serving as a waiting area is small and dirty. We didn't mind paying cash. For the price, it's definitely worth it. Surprisingly quick and super affordable!! It was only $12. I was done with my emissions test in less than 5 min. too. The waiting area was a nice touch with the cable TV and free wifi and water that would've been especially nice if there was a longer wait. Oh! AND I didn't have to paid in cash and was able to pay by card, which is beautiful considering how I like to travel light with just a few cards on me. read more

I went here to get my emissions checked as my car registration deadline was coming up. They were super helpful and let me know that because my vehicle is under 3 years old, I didn't actually need a check. Appreciate that they would rather be helpful to the customer than provide an unneeded service - will definitely go back for my other vehicle! read more

Thanks to all the other reviews, I gave this place a try. Sure beats paying top dollar ($25 max) that many other locations charge. Definitely no frills but you're not there for the entertainment. The shed was too hot but waiting in the nearby shade was fine - and it was only 5-10 minutes, there were no cars ahead of me.
