This place wins on Concept, Decorum, Condiments, Fries, but sadly barely makes it when it comes to the Actual Emoji Burgers. DECORUM When you walk in, the first thought that comes to mind is "wow not too shabby". It has a very Shake Shack vibe. Great use of bricks, Wood, and Dark Marble Tables. There's illuminated emoji-like icons for the food items on the wall. Hotdog, Fries, Ice Cream, Shakes, Burgers on the side. Even the menu itself is well designed and partnered with monochrome paper place mats. Nice projector screen too, to view Sports or whatever else while you eat...too bad they don't serve beer. It would really help. FOOD When you're actually staring the menu down looking for what you want...theres nice little emoji names for the burgers. Thumbs Up, Da Wink...etc. The prices however are that of a Shake Shack too. The Condiments to the side were very nice too. Ketchup, Pink Sauce (ketchup/mayo) and Green Sauce (cilantro aioli/mayo). Just one MAJOR problem... It tastes just like Wendy's. So much so, we had to debate - IF you were ever in the mood to have Emoji Burger- why wouldn't you just order Wendy's and pay a third of the price. The food tastes pretty commercial, not like it's made straight off the grill. There's not enough seasoning and the meat isn't as thick or heavy as a premium Fast Food Chain like Five Guys, Checkers or Shake Shack. So the prices aren't fitting for what you actually get. WHEN IT COMES TO DRINKS... Well, I'd recommend drinking nothing ... cause everything comes in a can or bottle but it's 2x the price of a corner store selection. So, if you can get through your meal without your mouth getting to dry and you want to possible save 2 bucks. Take a pass. SHAKES ARE GOOD THOUGH, just a tad pricey, but good all the same. BOTTOM LINE, definitely worth the visit, but only once at the moment. Jackson Height's finally gets their own version of a Shake Shack! I was told by someone that they were worthy of trying but I was hesitant because I'm not a fan of artisan/overpriced burgers unless they're called Shake Shack. However, they aren't that expensive so that was a nice surprise. I ordered their Ori Emo burger which is equivalent to a cheeseburger and my boyfriend ordered their OMG burger and we shared an order of plain fries. It didn't take long for our food to arrive which is always a plus. They offer an array of sauces but the best sauce is their pink sauce (not the traditional fry sauce, its like fry with some extra zing - must try!). The buns to their burgers are a BUTTERY GOODNESS. The meat was perfectly cooked to temperature and it wasn't overloaded with cheese where it was oozing from the sides - hate that. The only downside is that they use shredded lettuce as opposed to a whole leaf but I can move past that. Its a very easy place to eat. No frills good burgers joint. I am happy to have finally stopped in. I will definitely be back for more and also for some take out/delivery. Happy to have this this new edition to Jackson Heights. read more

OK so my first review was harsh initially, but I am bluntly honest. But, this update has been a long time coming. Since then, I have frequented Emoji burger about once a month. And every time, I am left satisfied. I would initially get the Odada, then moved on to the OMG. Their sweet potatoe fries are delectable. I cant help it, I love their food here. Did my first Emoji Burger taste test as delivery. The bun really has the logo seared into the top! :) I ordered the O'Dada burger, thought it would be to many toppings, but was wrong....they all complemented each quite well, and touch of soy and special sauce was GREAT. I wanted to come her for a while because of the hype. I got the OMG Burger and I thought it tasted a bit bland. The shredded chicken was cold and had no taste. Firstly the positives - Really nice space, small but quaint and appealing interior design. Seems to be aimed at the younger population. The combination of ingredients for the burgers is compatible. I feel like the burgers are too expensive for what you're getting, the space is definitely not family-friendly, the balance of ingredients is off (the patty seemed paper thin in comparison to everything else), the choice of wheat flour bun was filling but heavy (potato flour buns like shake shack would have been a better pairing). Came here for a casual dinner. The place is small and is more of a take out than dine-in establishment. When I walked in there was a weird smell, like an unclean bathroom smell, which threw me off completely. I was expecting to smell burgers. I am not sure if my just my nose or it was the general smell of the place. I had Da Wink and my S.O had the O'Dada. The burgers had a lot of flavor but I think I could have done without the bacon on my burger because it made the burger taste super salty. Also the bacon was very undercooked. I would have liked it to be crispy . I also ordered the emo fries and I enjoyed them but with all the flavors in the burger, it was a bit much for me . My S.O enjoyed his burger but stated there were too many mushrooms on his burger. The customer service here is good. I was undecided about the type of milkshake I wanted and the server gave me a pumpkin shake to try. It was awesome ! Not too sweet but just right. I've ordered from them twice now and it is delicious! The Double Whammy Burger, regular fries and an Oreo shake. Order and delivery were Seamless. ;) They exceeded expectations for sure - speedy and fresh. The Oreo shake was a special treat. I look forward to checking the place out in person. So my friend likes very simple burger and I like fancy and this place pleased us both I got cheese fries and thumbs up burger, oh and peanut butter shake. My friend just plain burger and fries. The bun was kind of soggy and flattened out, and I also was not too fond of the fact that they used iceberg lettuce instead of romaine (I am definitely a lettuce snob!). Oh my goodness this place was the light at the end of the tunnel for my boyfriend and I. We just arrived from New York and leaving the airport and getting to our room in the rain starving was not fun. We found this place and were so hungry that we walked several blocks in the rain. I had to give this place a 5 star. The service here was amazing, the workers were very nice and attentive to your requests and their food was just enjoyable. I went and ordered Da Hush and boy did it come stacked! the O'le Fries were pretty decent as well. I just wish the cheese was dripping instead of being almost a hard mass when it got to my table. they offered the most amazing, refreshing, and delicious iced coffee I have EVER had as a sample and I nearly died at how great it was. I took the Poi Emo as a take out and that also was a great one as well even though it was only a crispy chicken on a bun. I really feel like i want to go back and try every Emoji Burger on the menu they had to offer. I love how they have pictures to see what you are getting and their food looks just a pictured. the menu is front back on gloss paper and easy to read and easy to take along with you and slip it on your menu shelf. very happy with this place. can't wait to go back there for another try. read more

Love this place! Every time I'm in the area I stop by to pick up a burger and an order of cheese fries. OMG those cheese fries should be sold in a gallon bucket they're that good! The only downside is that sometimes it can take a half hour to get your order. Worth it though! Maybe they shouldn't sell buckets of fries, it might slow them down even more.
