Really glad they've now introduced the turkey burger and veggie burger. It's nice we can swap burgers so I got a turkey burger classic instead of the beef. Emo Dog - very flavorful, bacon cooked well and nice toasty bun. My only complaint is that the cheese is just an unmelted slice stuck in the dog. Pio fries - The french fries were not the greatest. A little overcooked and not very well seasoned. The chicken and mozzarella on top was amazing though. I recently visited this establishment, wasnt so pleased with the wait. I ordered emo fries and waited about 15 min. Poor customer service, even though I arrived before some customers that where staying to dine in, staff proceed to sit them down and take order. (Adding an additional 5 min before my order was placed).I suggest hiring another staff member, one to take orders and one to waiter to staying customers. It seems that they were just in a rush to make it because it didn't even have everything that the menu said it's supposed to have.( No Sauce/ No cheese). read more

Haven't been in this area for the longest time so seeing this store was pretty new to me. Walked by Emoji Burger during my coffee run -- which was a perfect timing since i was just thinking about lunch. I don't eat beef so I was bummed after seeing that majority of the burgers has beef in them. As I took a better look at the menu, I realized that there was a turkey and a veggie option for burgers. Not a lot to choose from, but hey beggars can't be choosers. Since I'm not all that into veggie, I opt for the turkey burger (Hands Up Burger: turkey, feta cheese, guacamole, onion, tomatoes, mix green and cilantro aioli - $6.75) & Sweet Potato Fries - $4.75. We didn't want to dine in so we called in prior to order for pick up. The place sure is small and there's just enough space to walk in to pay. We would have definitely been in the way of patrons and staff if we were hanging around waiting for the food. The fries was good & my turkey burger was really delicious -- The buns are so soft & the turkey was cooked right. The different sauces on the side gives the food an extra kick so don't forget to give those a try. I would come back for more turkey burger. read more

I found out about Emoji Burger quite a few months ago when there were a couple of articles online anticipating the restaurant. They recently opened and I finally got a chance to visit. The place is small, half the space of the restaurant is taken up by the kitchen. I hope they are able to expand (if possible). You get a view of the kitchen & can watch the burger assembly chain. They also have a pretty big TV. Even though the kitchen was pretty loud, I was still able to have a conversation without it being too distracting. I noticed that a lot of customers opt for take out/pick up, but I didn't mind dining in. Like some yelpers said, the burgers are made to order, so it can take a while. I didn't really mind since the burgers came out delicious! We ordered 3 burgers and fries: - Hands Up (Turkey burger): the turkey patty wasn't dry at all (like most diner turkey burgers are) and it was juicy & flavorful. I didn't love the feta cheese as much, but it didn't take too much away from the taste. - O'Dada Burger: my favorite. I loved the patty was cooked medium, meaty, fatty and slightly crispy. I loved the mushrooms, they were so well marinated. It made me want to try their mushroom burger (I'll save that for my next visit) - Yummy Burger: Again, the patty was perfectly cooked. The addition of black beans isn't overpowering and you can get a good bite of each of the burger toppings. - Cheese Fries: The portion for their fries is huge! I split the order between 3 people and we were all satisfied. The fries are medium cut (not that stupid shoestring fry shit, ughhh) and so crispy! The only disappointing part of this order is that the cheese was basically shredded cheese sprinkled on top :( I was expecting to get ooey gooey cheesy fries. I'll stick to ordering the regular fries next time. We got a bottle of their cilantro aioli for the table. I loved it so much that I drowned my serving of fries in it, and set some on the side for my burger. It's light, and there's a great balance of lime and cilantro. Overall, I really enjoyed the burgers we tried. I'm definitely coming back to check out the other menu items. The burgers are well proportioned, they aren't huge but I thought it was filling. The only reason I am rating this place 4 stars instead of 5 is because of the lack of gooey-ness of the cheese fries, and it was a little difficult to get my order - the staff seemed pretty overwhelmed. read more

This was supposed to be a 4-star review. The owner of this eatery also owns the neighboring Just Made 4 U -- which gets a 4-star rating from me. I was excitedly looking forward to the opening of Emoji Burger in my neighborhood. Finally! A dedicated burger joint to complete Jackson Height's foodie haven. I kept walking past the sealed off storefront until finally one day I saw the balloons and glimpsed in to see the place packed with diners. Soon after, I decided to go and pick up dinner. The food took 45 minutes to prepare. Other eat-in diners started to complain that they had been waiting for an hour. The pickup order line kept growing. There was no place to sit or stand. One diner walked up to the register and said she and her friend were done with their burgers but had yet to receive their fries. The phone kept ringing off the hook. The open kitchen was packed with way too many staff members. It was utter mayhem. It also seemed like delivery orders were getting priority over both eat-in diners and people who were ordering to-go. After the unusually long wait, when I finally got my to-go bag, I decided to check my burger on the spot to make sure they had given me the right one. After all, I'd just spent a good portion of the past hour witnessing how they kept forgetting ingredients from different orders that were being sent back so the final ingredients (mushrooms, ham, bacon, etc) could be added. They were not happy about my inspection and got a little huffy with me. "It's all there," said one of the line cooks from the kitchen, acting as if the food was free. By now, you have a sense of why my rating is so low. But ultimately, this is about the food. So how were my O'Dada burger, regular fries and chocolate milkshake? MEH. The best part was the fries. They were thin and crispy. But then again, I could get that at Just Made 4 U. The milkshake was runny, not thick. And the O'Dada burger (one of the pricier items on the menu) which boasted sautéed mushrooms and caramelized onions basically had two slices of mushroom and onions that had barely met the surface of a hot cooktop. The concept is cute although trying to connect emojis to burgers is a stretch. They are just not ready for a neighborhood that so proudly showcases it's food and puts its best foot forward when it comes to service. From now on, I'm going to stick to Just made 4 U. First time customer ordering online. I ordered their featured "Da wink" burger and passion fruit shake. However I was somewhat disappointed with the small portion, it only took me literally 4 bites to finish off. And besides I thought it came with fries which apparently you have to order separately for $3.99, really? I rather grab another burger for $5 to make up the first one. Otherwise the $5 shake wasn't that bad even though it was a little too dense and had some sweet medication taste going on and size could've been a better for that price, indeed. Also, if driving it can be a pain in the ***. I picked my order up around 2pm and couldn't find any parking spot not even on a fire hydrant. Thus I double parking instead. This is a great burger spot. They have a nice variety of burger combinations including a vegetarian option to please any palate. Their also have a good selection of fries with different toppings such as cilantro, cheese, shredded meats, and sauces. Burgers are made to order in front of you so it can take awhile for your food to be ready. The place feels a little small and will undoubtedly need to grow if business picks up. I placed an order for delivery and I must say their service is reliable. Their burgers are cooked medium which is perfect, and it's very juicy! The meat is a good portion, it's not thin or thick. It's perfect to fill you up. However their portion of their fries is ginormous so order if you intend to share or have an appetite suitable for a buffet. It's all so delicious. The "emoji" however just looks like food stamps were used, I was hoping they would brand the bun or something. I'm not a fan of ink on my food even if it's edible. It doesn't effect the taste though! We went shortly after it opened (about a week) and there wasn't much of a line but there was a steady flow of diners. We ordered burgers and a side of emo fries and my wife got a shake. The shake was a bit underwhelming in flavor - it wasn't that sweet and a bit on the watery side. The burgers were tasty but not as flavorful as I would have liked (maybe was just the choice I made) but for the price they were filling. The fries were the highlight and were perfectly crispy and salted and a decent size for the price. The decor of the place was a bit bland, but it is like an upscale fast food burger place so it does the job in that respect. I would definitely go again as it is probably the only burger place in Jackson heights that isn't a wendys or a diner. read more

For late night dinners mixed with veggie burger cravings, Emoji Burger is perfect. It also helps that I live right nearby, so to-go orders aren't ruined and stand the test of soggy time. Their Vegi Emo burger is really good: Grilled marinated, portobello mushroom, fresh mozzarella, mix green, tomatoes and emoji aioli. Similar to Shake Shack's portobello burger, but in some ways, better. I like to order this one with guac added. I've walked past this place a few times, but never really ventured in until after a interview and needed a pick me up and was too lazy to walk to Wendy's on 73rd...I got the pio sandwich (chicken) and fries and it was awesome! They give special sauce for dipping fries which is always a good thing. I've passed by this place a few times before and decided to try it. I had the mushroom/ onion burger, the beef was small but crispy and tasteful. They offer different sauces too. I also had the sweet potato fries, they were very crispy which I like. The chocolate shake was more milk than chocolate though.
