No emoji on my burger bun ): Why is it called Emoji Burger? I got the double whammy burger ($8.95) and emo fries ($5.50). The double whammy burger has 2 thin beef patties cooked to perfection, Applewood bacon, cheddar cheese, lettuce, tomatoes and the signature emoji aioli. I wish they had been more generous with the bacon. The burger had one piece of bacon broken into two, so only half the burger had bacon. My burger bun was put on the grill which added extra texture and flavor to the burger. Mmmm! Emo fries have bacon pieces, shredded parm, scallions and emoji aioli as well. The fries weren't anything out of the ordinary, but paired with the green sauce on the table, they were excellent. There are 4 bottles of sauces on the each table for your burgers, fries, and hot dogs! My boyfriend and I tried a chocolate milkshake ($4.99). For that price, I wouldn't get another one the next time I go. Water here is $1.55. My boyfriend got the 'Da Wink' burger, which also did not have an emoji on it. Da Wink had a beef patty, American cheese, apple wood bacon, lettuce, tomatoes and emoji aioli. He liked it. He also got Pio Fries which has mozzarella cheese, shredded chicken, scallion, cilantro aioli and emoji aioli. He ate all that up before I even got to try some, but he loved it. There's a bathroom there and enough seating where it wasn't packed. Decorations here are cute, but service really wasn't great. Its hard to find parking around this area so I'd recommend coming by bus or train. If I knew everything that I know at this point and were to step into Emoji Burger again, I would just order the double whammy again. Definitely worth it. read more

There is an extra charge for using a credit card. This is illegal in NY. When I received my receipt, there was no breakdown in charges, no tax , no extra charge for using a credit card. When I asked for a receipt with the breakdown I was told this was the only receipt I would get. When I asked why the charge was much higher than the cost of my burger & fries I was told it was because I used a credit card. People, this is illegal in NY. Not only do they not disclose their prices in the restaurant, they also don't disclose how much you pay for using a credit card. Friendly attentive staff. Food was delicious! We ordered a few things just because everything sounded good! Friend and I were in the mood for a burger tonight and decided to skip out on Shake Shack and try something local for once! Found Emoji Burger on Yelp and decided to give it a try. Parking will be difficult just FYI since it's a busy area. Tried the Double Whammy & some OMG fries. The OMG fries comes with cheese, green onions, and bacon bits (forgot what else) but it wasn't properly mixed well, just kind of dumped on top of the fries and the garnishing itself was cold. The Double Whammy Burger was solid for me, the bun came with a stamped emoji face. It was cooked medium rare like I asked so no complaints there. My biggest trife with Emoji Burger was the service or (lack of). Our server was just wearing an Adidas sweater and didn't smile at all which made me feel awkward to ask him for water or napkins since it seemed like he was so unhappy. Our server also knocked down my friend's napkins off the table and didn't get us new ones then went to play on his phone sitting on the stools so I had to go grab some from a nearby table. Then they also forgot the shake my friend order so we had to ask again. Mind you, it was not busy since we were two of the only six people eating there with several empty tables left. Tbh I think Emoji burger would do MUCH better without a server and just have self serve options such as napkins, water, sauces and allow the customers to just pick up their burger at a designated pick up area. They have a bunch of untraditional burgers with toppings such as pulled chicken, soy sauce, etc etc. None of them looked appealing so I went with their version of a bacon cheeseburger. The burgers taste good... just like the $3 chicken spot burgers do except here they are $7 because an emoji is branded on to the bun. Yikes. The fries here are diner level. They offer similar options for fries as they do for burgers. Fries topped with pulled chicken, hamburger, cilantro, different cheeses etc... the fries are good depending what you get. The o'le fries were banging which cheese, onion, beef patty and aioli. However, the Pio fries were disgusting which was shredded chicken, cilantro, scallion and aioli. Theres also a couple of other options. Fries are $7 as well.. you see how this can wind up being expensive now? $14 without a drink... They brought out our burgers before the fries were even done and we had almost finished our burgers by the time the fries came out which sucked because you wanna eat your fries with your burger, right? Basically like I stated in the beginning, it's an overpriced, glorified chicken spot with a good gimmick. I spent $60 for 3 people on a meal that would have been $20-$30 cheaper at Palace Fried Chicken. I've tried a bunch of the meals here and I haven't been disappointed. Service is always good, I would only say that they should try and make another veggie burger because not everyone likes mushroom. Perhaps a falafel burger or black bean, I'm sure they'd rock t. I'd recommend the yummy burger, it's a little messy but that's what you get for ordering a burger with guac and black beans. Or the Pio Emo if you like chicken. I don't love their chicken strips though, very dry and a little hard when my sister got them which is why I'm hesitant to try the chicken sandwich. I have passed by this place many times and finally decided to come in on a rainy Sunday afternoon when the place was empty. I got the classic burger and a side of fries because really there's nothing better than a good ole burger and fries. The burger was delicious, juicy, perfectly cooked. I liked the sauces that were on it. The fries were warm and crispy and I liked the pink aioli that came with it. I stayed and ate my meal in the restaurant since it was empty. This is the new hot place to go for burgers. I have been here twice in the past week. I waited to write my report because I wanted to give them a chance. Let me explain. This place is always packed, with young people and families. It had been recommended since last year, so I finally made my way over. The food is fresh and the meats are all grass fed...organic. Last week, my 8 year old son ordered an OMG burger. It is topped with shredded chicken breast, blt, cheese and house sauce. The beef patty is tasty and juicy, cooked perfectly. The bun is branded on top. We ordered the emoji fries topped with cheese, scallions and real bacon chunks. This was downed with homemade lemonade, very tart and sweet, great contrast to the toppings!! I had a chicken skewer. Unfortunately, it was not juicy but dry. It was tasty. The server asked how it was and I had to be honest. I told her, she immediately offered to replace it. I told her it wasn't necessary (I was full from the fries) and she did not charge for it and told her supervisor. The supervisor then asked me of my experience, I explained and she explained that this was not usual, gave me a free skewer for the next visit and give it a chance. My son loved the food, it's truly good plus they offer on each table 2 types aioli, thousand island colombian style sauce, ketchup, mustard and bbq. Today, we returned with some school friends. My son ordered the OMG burger with f sweet potato fries, lemonade, water and the skewer. Everything was on point, tasteful, juicy and just good. The service is very friendly and serviceable. They inquired again about the skewer and it was juicy, chicken breast marinated in citrus and parsely. I think the sweet potato fries are delicious, no toppings necessary. The prices are a bit higher that a diners or a fast food place , but the quality and taste is worth it. It's nicely decorated with wood, small, and the restroom is quite small but clean. I was originally looking for some good Colombian food considering the area and came across Emoji burger on Yelp with some impressive reviews and decided to give it a try. The quality and taste of the meat, the flavors that came with this burger was amazing, I honestly enjoyed lunch and I thought about that burger for the next two hours. The cool branded bun was a cute addition. The EMO fries were not as cheeses and abundant as I saw in fellow Yelpers photos but nevertheless was delicious. The tables were complimented by some nice condiments including a couple aioli sauces which were both tasty and unique. Staff was courteous and the place is cute and inviting. SUCKS that there was NO BATHROOM with is a major thumbs down.
