She emailed me a summary of the order we discussed, but no PayPal link. I emailed her when I got home to ask about the link to pay for the tasting and the address to mail her check to. She never responded. I followed up two more times and have never heard back. She completely ghosted us. No explanation. None of my attempts to contact her were returned. We drove over 2 hours that day to be able to meet with her for the tasting just to have her disappear. I'm glad she didn't take my money and disappear, however, this is inexcusable. I would never recommend her to friend because I have no reason to trust that she will follow through. I do remember that she mentioned during our meeting that I should get the deposit to her quickly because another person recently inquired about the same wedding date. My best guess is that she got a more expensive order and ditched us. Either way, that is terrible business etiquette. Not only did I waste my time driving to meet her, but also waiting on her response when she never intended to fulfill my order in the first place. If you're looking to hire a baker, do yourself a favor and keep looking. I'm sure there are many more trustworthy ones.
