Stopped here for take out on the way to Waredaca Brewery. Food was excellent. Took a little while to make so I recommend ordering ahead. We had the spaghetti and meatballs and lamb gyro. Both were delicious. It does look like their menu has shrunk and prices have gone up but still overall decent value. Posting photos of current menu for reference.

Had a nice visit to this stop off of Damascus Road. This little store seems to have everything from fishing tackle, bait, wine, and food. There are about four tables where you can eat and the menu had a wide variety ranging from chicken kabobs to pizza and breakfast. The food was made to order and the spices and ingredients well worth the wait. Great place to stop and relax when you are hungry.

Pizza cheesesteak yea it's one of those days lol

Unfortunately it was cold as an ice box in there, but to be fair it was the coldest day of the year and it's an older building. I ordered the shrimp tacos which may be the best shrimp taco I've ever had. My mom got the beans and cheese pupusa. I'd never had one before but they were delicious. My dad had some kind of salted beef dish that was also really good. Do not let the appearance of this place fool you. Its humble appearance is made up for by their fantastic food and good vibes.

The mariscada (seafood soup) had crab or shrimp, mussels, one clam and one whole lobster. Everything about it was fresh and tasted amazing. I do recommend adding rice or an extra tortilla because the soup has a lot of broth. I'd recommend trying this place when in the area. Mariscada 9/10

Nice solid roll, real gravy, tender beef, and plenty of napkins provided without asking. Could have used a knife and fork, it was so juicy even without the side of extra gravy. We got a pastrami Reuben and a "Corned Beef and Pastrami". Each was on toasted rye that was perfectly prepared. A good portion of meat on each and I have to say, an excellent deli sandwich. And the price of each ($8.99) is very reasonable. We also got a side of potato salad and side of cole slaw. Both were good and the container is very generous for $2.99 each. There's a variety of chips available and a soda fountain with free refills. Limited seating. The staff there were friendly and appreciative of the business. It's a really nice place to stop in for a sandwich. I likely will try one of their entree salads next time. Breakfasts sound good on the menu also. We don't come to the area often, but this will be our new go-to lunch spot.

But there's a pattern here that keeps me from giving a higher rating, and today it crossed a line. For a spot charging $7+ for a bagel with cream cheese, the policy of charging extra for a to-go cup with ice and a lid has always felt petty. Today it got worse. I asked for an extra cup & lid for ice before being rung up, and the employee wrongly assumed I wanted a simple water cup. When I clarified, instead of extending a small courtesy to a regular customer, he stopped and ran a separate credit card transaction for $2.65, the full price of a beverage, for an empty cup. I had already paid for my bottled beverage. It's not solely about the money. It's about what that gesture communicates to your customer. A $0.25 cup given as a goodwill gesture goes a long way. A separate $2.65 charge for an empty cup does the opposite. The food and early open time will keep bringing me back. But management should keep in mind that it's the small things that turn regulars into occasional visitors.
