Everybody loves the food and the service is fast and friendly. Prices are hold over from a better era, you can seriously have breakfast for two for under twenty. Casual ambiance is perfect for workers and movers and mechanics from around Gaithersburg... This is quickly becoming a hot spot in the morning and at lunchtime. Food was great. Portions were large. Service was quick. We ordered, chicken fried steak, pancakes, breakfast burrito, western omelet, and sausage plate. Fysa: breakfast burrito comes with lettuce, take it off when you order, add jalapeño. We said put everything on the burrito, didn't notice they had lettuce up there. A good casual place with a menu that satisfied our desire for a decent non-fastfood sandwich. Rueben with onion rings and a BLT with avocado were as expected: very good! Plenty of parking in front. Woodfield diner is very close to my gym so a great place to stop after a Saturday morning workout to grab breakfast to take home. There are no bells and whistles, but none are needed. The staff are prompt and efficient. I called ahead when I picked up and my order was ready just a few mins after I arrived. The serving sizes are hearty and the food is yummy. I will say I'm not a fan of the biscuits as they are more like biscuits from a can than homemade. Other than that the breakfast sandwiches are great and an awesome bang for the buck! read more

Located just off the highway in a lottle strip mall, this little mom and pop spot is seving up great food at great prices. I ordered country fried steak, which came with 3 eggs, hash browns, and a biscuit. All for $9.99; Can't beat that. My over medium eggs were cooked perfectly, and the hash browns were just the right amount of crispy. The gravy on the country fried steak was phenominal, though the steak itself was slightly tough and separated from the breading pretty easily. A minor issue, though, as the gravy more than made up for it. They also have a little condiment station with jams, ketchup, hot sauce, and old bay, which im discovering more and more out here, goes on everything. I will definitely be back. read more

Quick bite/grab and go type of place. The tuna melts and scrapple egg and cheese on a croissants were the best! I don't know how they cook the egg in the croissant sandwich, but it was super juicy and thick. Not a thin piece of egg you typically get in a breakfast sandwich. I love how they packed the tuna melt and labeled it with the purple sharpie. Little things like this impress me. Hidden little diner that caters to folks that want a good breakfast, a lot of it, and at a prices that shame fast food chains. The meat platter is great value for the money. The dining area might turn some people off: seating is limited, climate control is DIY, drinks are containers from a cooler. Despite this, their cooks know how slam out breakfast and do it well. Always opt for the home fries rather than their hash browns. Not that the hash browns are bad, far from it, but the home fries are just particularly excellent. They also do a great job on their scrambled eggs and omelettes. Have not yet tried a lunch item as we just keep coming back for breakfast, but it's on our to-do list. We came here for breakfast as we where looking for something a little different. We were expecting more of a diner vs what I would call more a takeout deli with a few tables. I ordered the sausage gravy and biscuits, my wife ordered the cream chopped beef and our daughter ordered pancakes. Unfortunately both the sausage gravy and cream chipped beef tasted the same and was very bland with not much actual meat. Both came with home fries which were ok but a little heavy on the grease. About a 2-2.5: The hubs and I went to Woodfield Diner to grab some breakfast. We were surprised to find out that this place was Korean-owned. Located in a small strip mall off of Woodfield Road, when you enter, there are several tables located throughout the area of the store. The menu offers breakfast and lunch offerings, and there is a little dry-erase board that features some specials of the day. I had the Steak, Egg, and Cheese breakfast sandwich on a bagel with a side of homefries (the sandwich was not good at all, as the steak slices were not that great of a quality and was very underseasoned; the egg was overcooked, and the bagel itself was not toasted; the homefries were also quite mushy, even though it was specifically requested for 'extra crispy'), while the hubs had the Sausage, Egg, and Cheese on a croissant breakfast sandwich (this was actually pretty okay, and comparable to other croissant breakfast sandwiches; I liked that it was not overly greasy), and Biscuits with Sausage Gravy (this came with 2 sides of your choice, so he opted for the grits and the homefries; the biscuits came buttered, but they were very dry; the gravy itself had no flavor, and it was more of a watery consistency; the homefries for this dish was slightly more crispier, but still quite mushy; the grits were a little congealed, but no butter was offered for it). You first order up at the cashier, then you grab a table to wait for your items to be called out (it's not a numbering system, but the cashier just yells out some of the items of your order); you go up and grab your food and to pay.
