Roast Pork Noodle Soup, Chow San Sin white rice
Darren G.

I can agree with most here on the service, seemed very dull and to point more than welcoming when I ordered. I didn't notice any kids running around or toys laying about. Trust me there is another place where there is that and beds to sleep in the blocked off dining room in Main Street Middletown hah. The chow San sin was very good, way more meat than the veggies in the dish, all cooked just right and very well drowned in sauce. That was great since other places with triple meat specials get so cheap and here it's the opposite. For the roast pork noodle soup, it was okay, I mean a decent amount of sliced roasted pork, and the broth was decent and not a salty overkill. I think their choice of noodles did suck though, since it was very thick like spaghetti and would been way better with a thinner noodle like rice noodles or broken up angel hair. Felt like I got my money worth for the entree here.

Garlic wonton; chicken chow me in with extra chicken.

CLEANEST Chinese restaurant around. Most delicious Chinese food in the area. Been eating here 11+ years. I've watched this Chinese family raise 2 children in the restaurant. ..working EVERY DAY. ..busting their asses to make a life in America. They've only raised prices ONCE in 11 years and they continue to keep up with the times and social media which can be expensive. Take out is best. Order ahead. Eat-in is distracting because of the (well behaved) children of the staff.

Solid Chinese food. I got Shrimp Egg Foo Young. It had a generous amount of shrimp. The shrimp tasted fresh considering I'm sure they were previously frozen. There is a lot of Chinese food competition around here, I've yet to find one that stands out.

Sadly, the PORK fried rice had zero pork or anything else in it. It tasted fine but up to par for what I ordered.

The food is great! It's not a five star restaurant but it's a nice place and the eating area seems clean.

Between the delicious food, outstanding service, and breathtaking views of the Hudson River and the Newburgh-Beacon Bridge, it's always a great experience. The staff is consistently friendly, welcoming, and accommodating. The servers know the menu well and are happy to make recommendations, making every visit feel relaxed and enjoyable. One of our favorite times to visit is for their weekend brunch buffet, which offers a great variety of options. During the week, their Happy Hour (4-7 PM) is another favorite, especially the $1 oysters. It gets busy, so I definitely recommend arriving early. Just keep in mind that Happy Hour is available only in the bar and lounge area. The restaurant is clean, has a spacious parking lot shared with the neighboring restaurant, and offers a beautiful outdoor patio overlooking the river during the warmer months. The patio closes for the winter, but it's one of the best places to dine when the weather is nice. They also have a kids' menu, although my 6-year-old usually orders from the regular menu because she has a very adventurous palate. If you're looking for great seafood, excellent service, gorgeous waterfront views, and one of the best dining experiences in Newburgh, Blu Pointe is an easy recommendation. It's one of our favorite restaurants, and we always look forward to coming back.

We went for a late lunch and were pleasantly surprised by how attentive the service was. The setting alone is quiet, scenic, and relaxing, adding to the experience feeling special. We're particular about cocktails, and the specialty drinks leaned a bit sweet and light for our taste, but switching to a Grey Goose martini solved that quickly. The standout of the meal was the special appetizer, the Lobster Escargot. Between the bread service and the rich, bisque-like sauce layered over the classic preparation, I could have happily ended the meal right there. We left no trace behind. I followed with the crab cake and wedge salad. The crab cake was generously sized, very fresh, and exactly what I hoped for. My husband ordered the branzino, which was absolute perfection, beautifully cooked and full of flavor. The sides, however, were less memorable; the smashed potatoes and green beans felt under-seasoned and a bit boring compared to the rest of the meal. Overall, it was a lovely anniversary lunch with memorable dishes and a beautiful view.

What a treat! My…read morefriend and I grabbed an early dinner for the first time at The Pier, it won't be the last time. We started our dinner with a shared plate of fried calamari. The calamari was tender and the coating was crispy. A perfect appetizer. I enjoyed, a delicious meal of Littleneck Clam Linguine, which I've been talking about ever since. My partner dined on the fresh fish of the day and thoroughly enjoyed his meal as well. Everyone we came in contact with, from the gracious woman who seated us to Beth our helpful and friendly server made us feel welcome. Can't wait to return.

I thought it was an order at the counter and then find a seat restaurant so I was disappointed when they said there were reservations and they couldn't accommodate our party of two. When I had looked on the website, there was no place to make a reservation so I was surprised by this. I wish it had been more clear. Additionally, there was a sign to inform customers that the prices on the menu would be higher due to increased costs. The staff was friendly and asked if we wanted to order takeout instead- which we did. However, one of the reasons I chose this place was because I thought it was a casual counter style restaurant, that would have lower prices. I do realize seafood is expensive, but I would've chosen a seafood restaurant that would allow us to sit down. We ordered lobster rolls Connecticut style. They were fantastic and crabcakes, which were full of crab. The food was 5 stars but the lack of info about reservations coupled with the increased prices is 3 stars so I am settling on 4 stars. This restaurant is good as long as you know to make reservations and expect higher prices.
