He has worked in the industry for many years and has a family full of people in the industry. We had a gut feeling on our initial meeting that he was a good guy and we were right. He has the experience. We started working with him on a gut reno for our bathroom and then our kitchen, and he did an excellent job on both. He is able to deal with issues that come up during construction smoothly. Mario made sure we were happy each step of the way. We had a lot of work we needed done on our house…read more Exterior repair and carpentry on a very high, steep second story and a tiered deck, exterior painting and power washing and some cement repairs to the koi pond. The work began in September and ended in October. We were fortunate that the weather was gorgeous but it could have turned quickly. So Anton and his crew would often work till dark ( 8:00 PM) and showed up on Saturdays when necessary. The job was completed as promised. Promises made, promises kept. You can't beat that! Another professional and amazing point I should add is their respect for your home. Everyone expects a crew to clean up when the full job is complete. But Anton and his crew cleaned the entire place every single day they worked. I often watched Anton late in the evening "dusting off" the saw dust created from the carpentry work from our lawn. I doubt other crews do the same. This is the only crew we will be hiring from now on, and neighbors have been asking who did our job and can they get the contact info. Yup. Skilled professionals are hard to find. We are very happy with the job and will be having them back to do some stone steps and railings.

Liberty was brought-in to renovate a vacant apartment above mine. Their project manager screwed-up…read moreand left the water running in the apartment after they closed everything up, causing water damage to the entire line of apartments below (4, including mine). At first, Liberty was very understanding and came and cosmetically fixed all the water damage on the ceiling and our wood floors (dehumidifier, sanding, staining). This initial response was fast and reasonable...they finished this by mid-January 2018. By early March 2018, the area of the floor that was dried/sanded/stained began to crack and separate with visible gaps between the floorboards in the apartment we had just purchased 1 year prior. I have spent the last 6 months dealing with Liberty to get their contractors into my apartment to survey the damage and fix (replace, re-sand, and re-stain) our wood floors. They have ignored calls and emails, dragged their feet in getting someone to even take a look at the damage, and had the nerve to try to bring in a second contractor to take a look in order to keep their costs down (this is 2 months after the first contractor had already taken a look and assessed the damage). I've had multiple points of contact, changing on a monthly basis, with nobody seeming interested in solving the problem and damage that they caused. Since March 2018, after numerous calls and emails, and threats of involving legal action, all Liberty Environmental Management can tell us is that the insurance company is reviewing the claim. But, they can't tell me when the insurance company will approve disbursement of payment, which means it's dragging-on even longer...all this for a $1500 and 3-day job to fix damage they caused.

We contracted Bona-Fide Construction in January 2023 for a small bathroom remodel. Initially, we…read morewere informed that this would be a collaborative project in which they worked with the owner of the home to ensure satisfaction so we were looking forward to working with the company. However, we noticed that accessories, and appliance like the bathtup, towel racks, lighting fixtures were mostly their "idea". When they were done, there was quite a bit of cleanup that we had to bring to their attention like messy grout under the vanity which looked awful and paint causing the door to stick. There was also a lot of cleanup we had to do as there was dust all over even though they told us we did not have to move anything "out of the way". Fast forward to June, I contacted them due to several nails popping out of the "new" ceiling and they informed me that the warranty on their work had expired but as "courtesy" they would fix this item. Important to note here here is that the nails were popping out of the ceiling initially when they began the work and this was brought to their attention to which they responded that they would "take care of it". Initial issues included hot water coming out of "cold" water faucet; installation of a vanity which may have been damaged as it seems crooked as installed and the door - to this day - does not close properly. Technically, it was the wrong vanity to replace the old one as it's too high as well. Based on our experience, they do not work as collaboratively as they should with the owners. We depended on their guidance as supposed "experts in the field". I would not recommend them for bathroom remodeling.

We needed someone who was above all honest, trustworthy, and made things easy. We were very nervous because the work we were having done was much more than we had engaged someone to do before, and everyone has heard a horror story about a contractor / bad home project. Our project was a finished half of our basement, including a full bath, mini-split HVAC, new electrical panel and framing around mechanicals that meant creating a mini-boiler room. The work that Eric's team did came out beautifully, the electrical and plumbing team he used was top notch, and we have a space we are very happy with. It seemed almost miraculous to us that with Eric, there really *was* nothing to worry about. What he said would happen, happened. When we had a question, we called him -- and he always took our calls and responded, fast, not to mention he was always up for a good laugh. He made practical recommendations that met what we said we needed, his people showed up when he said, and the work got done while staying completely out of our hair. It is true what their site says, that NEC is a family-run, long time business in this area, and it shows. Eric is a great guy, fun person to talk to, and he takes true pride in his work, as does his family who work with him every day. If you have a job that really matters to you, then I recommend you get a true general contractor, and that is definitely Eric. Perhaps the highest recommendation of all is, we've hired NEC to do more work for us and, to be honest, would have a hard time using anybody else given how happy we are with them.
