I decided while I was there to get a new battery as well since mine was two years old and only charging to 79% of the original capacity. Cheaper than Apple AND the phone recognizes it as a genuine Apple battery. The technician was friendly, answered all my questions, and finished in less time than quoted. I somehow made it to their shop and the guy there told me that with the price I paid for the screen, (which he did not tell me until two weeks later when my phone stopped working is not the highest quality) and that this happens sometimes and I can pay $50 more to get a screen where this will not happen . I did say I was just fixing the screen to send my phone in and get an upgrade, but I was not told that this would happen, and it has happened multiple times since then where the screen stops working and I have to restart my phone. So I just think other customers should be aware of this. Definitely pay the extra $50 but that also seems like something they should've communicated when I purchased this.

My MacBook Pro stopped working out of nowhere. I've had it since it first came out, about six years ago, and everything was on that computer. My businesses. My properties. Not just phones either; computers, software issues, hardware issues, all of it. It made me realize how many hours of frustration I waste trying to Google solutions, watch YouTube tutorials, or use AI to generate step-by-step fixes that somehow never actually work. In my case, my charging ports constantly get clogged with dust and dirt, and instead of simply fixing the problem I end up spending hours stressed out, fighting with cords and restarting devices. At some point you start asking yourself: how much is your time worth? One of the things I love about Sky Fix is how accessible it is. I live right across the street, but even if I didn't, there are multiple parking structures surrounding it and none of them cost more than about ten dollars max. You can park and be at the front door within seconds. It's also directly off the Broadway & 2nd Metro stop, which honestly makes it one of the most accessible tech repair stores in the city. I found this repair location on google with a different name (ESM cell phone repair). I was charged $41.60 to have my phone inspected to see what the problem was and get it repaired. I was told I would get a call in an hour or two after the technician checked my phone. After waiting over 3 hours, I called to get the status on my phone. When I called, I was told exactly what I had told them how the phone was acting. Clearly they had not looked at my phone at all. I asked what I next step was and the guy seemed puzzled. I was asked if I wanted to come pick up my phone. Since it was obvious that they couldn't repair it I went back to pick up my phone. It appeared that the phone had no been touched. I guess this was an easy way to make money off people without providing any service. I advised to steer clear of this place unless you have money to give them just because.
