My review is in regards to the buffet. Most dishes were good for small town Minnesota. They had a delicious pork w/garlic sauce with onion, broccoli, and a nice zippy sauce. This was good. I enjoyed their cream cheese wontons. I tried the walnut shrimp others raved about, but it was too sweet for me. Nothing negative about it, but its not my cup of tea. Hot and sour soup was terrible--I feel like the warmer was turned on too high and made the broth pretty much liquid. Nothing hot and sour about it at all. Fried rice used large pieces of rice and I didn't feel they stirred much soy sauce into it... Service was great--I came in towards the end of the day--around 8 PM. I didn't expect them to do this--but they made a batch of fresh egg rolls and wontons, even though they likely would go uneaten. I tried to eat my share of the appetizers. The older lady functioning as my waitress made sure my teacup stayed full. Its definitely better than the place we have in Belle Plaine, so I'm sure I'll be back.

Overall good standard Chinese fare. The shrimp dish and peanut chicken are by far the best items on the menu.

The guy at the counter is friendly and answered my questions about the menu. Overall, a good place to support local and have a good meal. The value for the price is absolutely worth it, I always have at least two meals from one combination plate. And the hot and sour soup is great for kicking a cold or a nice comfort meal. Inside the restaurant is very homey, lots of tables to eat at and seems like a place you could have conversation over dinner (not too loud and no loud music).

Since 1986 the Dragon Cafe has been offering their customers the amazing Cantonese and Szechuan menu. I had the sweet/sour chicken/ fried rice and egg foo young. By far, the most delicious Chinese food I've had since the Nankin closed years ago. Vast menu to choose from. Polite/friendly staff. Very decent prices. My food was very nicely served. 952-445-9615. The cafe became very busy around noon ! Customers/phone calls for takeout. The facility was very clean with not a lot of clutter. Fast service. 576 Marschall Road, Shakopee, Mn. I highly recommend the Dragon Cafe. 5 stars ! I'll definitely return for more delicious food. You will not be disappointed.

Absolutely consistently delicious food…read more I wish there was a little bit of a restaurant there so you could sit and eat. However, there is absolutely no better Chinese restaurant in SOUTHWEST Bloomington. The grand Szechuan near Cub Foods has awful food although they have nice ambience. For a good experience, just go get takeout from Don Ho!!

I ordered around noon on a Wednesday, and only had to wait about 10/15 minutes. When I arrived it felt like I was transported back to COVID times, they have closed the inside of the restaurant and it's only take out. Located in a strip mall with plenty of parking, you walk in and ring the bell. The woman working was super friendly and was fast with checking me out. As I walked back to the car I was surprised how heavy my bag felt. When I got back to the office and opened my box I was shocked at how much food there way- enough for two- maybe even three people to share, all for $12! I went with the chicken lo mein lunch special with fried rice and cream cheese puffs. Everything was great and was piping hot. I knew I had to tell others about Don Ho and that's what I did. We are now planning when we can do dinner take out for the whole family. Stop by and check this place out for to go orders. If you can, order the lo mein and feel free to thank me later!

I was not a fan of the cream cheese wontons, as the outside used was too thick. The servers were quick and accommodating to our drink requests & cleaning up our finished plates. Beverages are included which was nice. I love getting hot tea. The restaurant was clean & well taken care of. They even have a waterfall with a pond with real fish in it, my little brother loved this. We would definitely come back.

Note that if you pay with a card and add a tip, they will just give you cash from the register for the tip amount to leave at your table when you leave. I would bring cash to tip your server with at your table. After paying, you can seat yourself anywhere and a server will come by and take your beverage order. The buffet includes unlimited soft drinks, drip coffee, and hot tea. Their Dr. Pepper is extra syrupy compared to normal fountain drinks, would recommend! Throughout the meal, the server will clear your empty plates and at the end of the meal they will drop off fortune cookies and towelettes. Crab days are Sunday, Monday, Wednesday, and Fridays. During these days they serve lil crabs. There is also a build your own noodle station where you can choose your mix-ins and sauces, and they'll fry it up for you. The fried rice is solid and the garlic toast is shockingly really good. Food is pretty fresh and warm, and there are people constantly refilling trays and cleaning the buffet.
