Every time I walked into the store, the other buyers would be generations older than me and most of the other staff would ask me in a condescending way if I had made an appointment (as if I was walking into some exclusive country club). But Samantha would always see me (no appointment), and took so much time and care to walk me through the different options, combinations, what material would be best for my vision and why. Outside of the showroom, she was super fast and efficient on email communication (a millennial's dream). You can pay for your tiles through their electronic payments portal = so easy. Don't buy Parliament Luxury Vinyl Planks from Esmer's. Poor quality materail that did not pass the standard flooring guidlines. A 25 yrs warranty on the flooring that did not last 22 months before the locking mechanism started to break, cupping, and peeling. Esmers' does not back up their customers when it comes to manufactory warranty. They let the manufactore dictate everthing and they just follow orders from Parliament. Be aware of the manufactor warranty with each product Esmers sells. They do not stand by them or by their customers. They let you out to dry. Look at the independent lab testing that i submitted regardung new Parliament vinyl planks to Georgia were Shaws test their product. Did not meet the half the expected durabilty. What else does ESMERS sells cheap product at a luxury expensive price. CONSUMER BE AWARE. read more

Came here on a Friday to get tiles for my 3 bathrooms. I asked them to show me only what's available. Spent hours and finally picked out everything. They said they'll have a quote for me Monday or Tuesday. Great. After a month of chasing them for a damn quote they tell me the tiles aren't in stock. Whaaa!! Are you kidding me!! Beautiful showroom, great products, and the worst customer service I have ever experienced. In two recent visits to the showroom, I have been virtually ignored by the showroom staff, who seem to be too busy on the phone, filling out orders, or chit-chatting amongst themselves to even bother to greet you. Just attempting to make eye contact, I got the vibe that I was bothering them and not worth their time- they seem to be uninterested in small residential projects and too busy dealing with much bigger and better things to care. When I did finally ask for help, I was met with a condescending attitude, and felt rushed so they could get back to their order forms. Seriously, get over yourselves, it's TILE. You should be working in a cubicle upstairs or in the back of a stockroom if all you are interested in is order forms and not the "real-time" people walking into the showroom. What is the point of even having a walk-in showroom? Another issue is that most of the tiles on display do not have labels with names and SKU's, which forces you to have to have to "bother" the precious staff - heaven forbid they have to "deal" with such nuisances as live customers in the showroom! I would highly recommend finding what you like on their website and using the "Find a Retailer" tool to locate a local retailer/distributor for samples, rather than subjecting yourself to feelings of "Tile Customer Inadequacy" these people will give you. I am just dealing with my local retailer instead of going back to this place. read more

The selection is nice. But the service was really bad. I would do everything you can to avoid this place...they don't seem interested in helping. I have visited 3 times now and found each time that everyone who works there seems to find customers to be a pain. They are way more interested in their lunch which they were eating in the middle of the store each time I was there. This place needs a manager who cares about customer service. read more

Called yesterday asked for Sam. Someone took my number, told me she'd call back. She didn't. So I called today. Sam didn't know how deep the coils are for the heated floor she sells- isn't this something she would know? Then she said she'd email a quote after not knowing when RedGuard should be put on, then she didn't email the quote. I don't even think she wrote down my email honestly. Didn't want to answer my questions on the phone (said she normally only talks to general contractors not the client.) I wonder how she can answer questions from a GC if she doesn't even know how much deeper a heated coil will make your floor & seems to have little knowledge of the product (only sells it). But anyway she was avoiding my questions on the phone, then told me to email them (but then she never emailed me the quote she promised so I couldn't email her back- I think she did this on purpose bc she didn't want to answer my questions). So I contacted the tile installer that recommended her to me- he called her- then she called me back. Again promised to email me a quote & didn't. Horrible customer service, won't be spending my $ here! Unless there's a better salesperson than Sammy. read more

I was referred to Leo at Emser Tile in West L.A. and to Juan at Emser Tile in Chatsworth. Since I live in Calabasas I first went to the Chatsworth Store and Juan gave me great ideas and service. I also dealt wth Leo numerous times, at the L.A. location. I met with him also and he spent a lot of time helping me choose the perfect Italian Tiles for my two bathrooms. Emser doesn't have as much quantify of products as some tile stores but I get lost when there is too many options of tiles and walk away as usually there is no one to help me. Why why why did I not go to Emser Tile at the beginning of our project? (Probably because I thought they were to the trade only) but the good news is I found them! We had a very tricky tile situation trying to find something that would work with old tile. Time was of the essence. We are so happy with the selection. Emser has the very best of new and classic tile. Staff is extremely knowledgeable. What more could you ask for? Great selection. Realistic pricing. They really take excellent care of customers. Dealing with Emser Tile in Houston was the worst experience of my life. They are not honorable people. They sold a faulty product to us. When we called to report the problem, first they tried to get out of the responsibility saying that because several days had passed since our contractor picked up the material, so it must have been something that the contractor did. The truth was that the tiles were installed and were immediately covered with a thick paper as there was so much other work going on at our home. Once the work was done, they removed the paper and professionally cleaned the tiles. After so many phone calls and so much run around given to our designer and the contractor, finally all parties decided to hire an independent expert on tiles to access the problem. Emser Tile is the one who decided on the independent expert; but when he gave the decision against the tile, they played another card saying that since none of their own people were present when the expert came, they would not honor his assessment. They actually fired the gentleman. Then they agreed to pay $1000 towards hiring a company to do high level honing and see if that could fix the problem. I have yet to see the $1000!! They did not keep their word. I have called the gentleman, they screen the calls and then say he is in a meeting and will call you back. Really? He has not had time to call us back?? We even approached the CEO. But they are NOT willing to accept the responsibility. Watch out while dealing with them!! read more

I have been shopping here and they have been really helpful with me. One of the salesmen went out of his way to give me a sample of tile that they don't normally give out. And that was really helpful. The tile I liked was extactly the same as the tile I found at Westside tile in Canoga Park but was less then 1/2 the price then Westside. Surprising since they are in West Hollywood and looks like a way more expensive store but I found their pricing way more then fair. I am still deciding what tile I want for my kitchen but I would buy from them if I can. They could use a bigger selection but if I find tile somewhere else I will ask Emser if they can get that tile for me. I am looking forward to working with this store. read more

Horrible customer service and extremely rude staff. At one point the employees were yelling at one another because they couldn't figure out pricing for their product. (I believe it was their boss yelling at the people in the front) We were planning on using their product for apartment development (40+ unit) but due to this awful experience we are debating if we still want to use their product. Many tile places are cluttered and dirty. Elmer Tile has a beautiful showroom, convenient parking, and good lighting. You have to trackdown sales people if you want help but it's a great place to see tile and prices aren't that high. read more

I have had nothing but excellent experiences with Emser. Their staff is knowledgeable and lovely to deal with. Their delivery is fast and everything arrives in good shape. The tile quality is lovely. My only frustration is that they have a smaller selection of tile sizes, colors and end pieces/trim tiles than some of the other companies. On occasion I've had to split my order to get some of what I needed somewhere else. Their modern tile selection is larger than their ceramic or marble tile, but everything they have is attractive, good quality and reasonably priced. I recommend them highly. read more

Not sure why she works there , must really hate her job and life.We took our business to Biagio . They were very helpful and had a pleasant disposition.
