Hien does a wonderful job. She has terrific colors from which to choose, runs on time and is reasonably priced.

If I could give zero stars I would. I was desperate looking for a place opened on Christmas Eve because my regular nail place was closed. Nails by Hien came up on google and it was close by so I decided to call and go in. My first impression was the place looked old and not updated. Second there was only one lady who was older. That lady was Hien and she sat me down and I wasn't sure if I wanted her to touch my nails because I don't know how she would do so I asked her to do my pedicure first and she refused she kept insisting to do my nails first. I felt uncomfortable and just said okay. She starts to do my nails (a fill) and I noticed her doing it awfully weird but I kept telling myself it'll get better at the end. I did show her a picture of what I wanted them to look like. She said she could do that and started saying about how other nail places are really bad and she's one of the best. while she was doing my nails she kept going on her phone. I was there for 2 and a half hours. She cut my cuticle on the inside and I was bleeding. Then before she even finishes she asked me to pay her (for the nails and pedicure which she hasn't started yet) at first I was confused why she wanted the payment first but at the point I was stuck. Then she started to paint my nails and it's like a child painted my nails. There was cheap ass nail polish all over my finger and the sides. Then before she finishes this lady comes in. At this point Hien realizes she's taking long and has another appointment and then try's to finish and says to me " I do pedicure now" and I said no no no I have to go I have no time sorry. (I was NOT gonna let her mess up my toes as well) so she says "okay I keep the money and you come next time" and I said no it's okay I'll take my pedicure money. So she gives it back. At this point I'm so upset with my nails. Never been this dissatisfied with my nails. I have no idea how the shop even exists. Then I leave and I don't tip her. I sit in my car having no idea what to do and how am I gonna fix it. So I get back out and I tell Hien "I'm sorry I'm really upset with the way my nails came out, you made my fingers bleed and the shapes are all messed up and the polish is everywhere. Can I please have my money back to go somewhere to fix it" now this lady (who was Hien next appointment) who should have minded her business says "she's not giving you your money back she can just change the color" she was rude and disrespectful, I looked at Hien and I said I'm talking to you not her. She's a customer not an employer be professional about this. The lady was much older like around Hiens age. Hien started to talk bad about me in front of this lady acting like I wasn't there. Then the lady says "why would you pay her if you didn't like the job" and I said she made me pay for it before she finished and this lady says "what. I've never seen Hien do that before. And HIEN STARTS SAYING "yeah that's not true" then the customer says she's calling the police and that I'm a phony. Take in mind I'm a young lady and I know when something not right and that right there was not okay. There's cameras in the store and I knew I wasn't lying so I said to the both of them you have cameras in here so her what you did while you doing my nails , show her when you made me pay before I finished. I said to her you made me pay for my nails and pedicure and you didn't even do my pedicure yet. And she quickly jumps up and says "Yeah but I gave you back your money for the pedicure. And then she admitted to having me pay before and then the customer shut her mouth after I said to her "you have no right speaking for Hien when you don't know the full truth. " but the customer continued to say she was going to call the police and kept calling me a phony, take in mind I kept it respectful did not yell or say bad things to either of these lady's and there's cameras to prove that. At the end I keep requesting my money back and Hien continues to ignore me and act like I'm not there. Then she gets angry and says fine I'll give it back to you if you let me take the color off and cut your nails all the way down. Take in mind I came in with nails already on I only need a fill. So I say fine just so I can get out of there. She took the color off and cut my nails and had me soak in alcohol. My nails were burning because she already cut me. At the end I didn't even let her soak it all off. I got my money and left. So please save yourself the headache and disrespect. Never go there. This is a real waste of money. Unprofessional and completely disrespectful. I would never wish any one to go through what I went through. Save your money, never go here. read more

I got a fill from Nails by Hein yesterday. I had had a bad job done on them so I assumed what could be worse??? Well acrylic spilling off of your nails and onto your skin. It took me an hour to fix them and the whole point of getting my nails done was so that I didn't have to do them. My fill cost me 21 dollars because she asked for a tip after???!!! I thought the sanitation alone was atrocious and I should have left when I walked in, but I was desperate. This is the worst acrylic fill I have ever gotten. I am lucky I am a licensed cosmetologist and can fix what had been done to my nails. read more

This place is horrible, I paid $25 for the worse full set ever. At first I thought my nails would look great since she took a little over an hour to finish up my nails. I got French tip which were all crooked and you could see the bubbles from the acrylic on every single one of my nails. They were all shaped differently and to top it off I paid with my debit card and she litteraly (I'm not exaggerating) asked for my pin. And she still had the nerve to ask for a tip. The only thing was that there was no lifting after having them for a month. Which was horrible because I couldn't wait to have them removed. I actually painted them the moment I got home.. horrible experience will not be coming back here. read more

I have only used one service from this place of business and its only an eyebrow wax with my wife. I cant ever find a decent waxer no matter how much i pay or where i go. My wife used to come here for years to get a pedicure and mani and wax. We now only come for wax because we live farther away. But still we drive 30 min for a wax by this woman. She is so kind and nice and she always does a fine job with my eyebrows. They never hurt when she works on them and she uses a wax paste and now regular wax which helps. I never experience redness which is also a great fact. She always takes walk ins and i almost never have to wait. She is so attentive. The only downside..no parking. Yeah there are shopping malls around it to park but its always crazy and the lots are small and complicated. BUT she does only charge 9$ for an eyebrow wax so go figure. Try it out! read more

First time at Nails by Hein. Was looking for something in this area and they were the only place that could take me. That should have been a sign. I walk in and the place is dirty. Dust everywhere and it doesn't look like anyone has cleaned the place in years. I feel bad because I know they are trying to make a living but someone needs to take a few bottles of bleach to the place and clean everything. I asked if all the utensils are clean and she stated that yes and that it's very important for clean utensils. Duh! I really hope I don't get an infection from here. I should have walked out but needed a mani pedi so bad. Mani job is pretty mediocre with acetone marks all over my fingers to get the paint off. And her fingers were so dry and cracking it was grossing me out. I keep saying to myself I should walk out. I guess you pay for what you get. read more

This place is great. I usually get a manicure only but the workers are very friendly. Hien (owner) is another thing. Her positive and upbeat personality really makes it a whole lot better experience getting a manicure. I would recommend her. One thing, that isnt really a deal breaker, is that: her store could be a little bit more organized and cleaner. Other than that, the service, quality, and atmosphere is outstanding. read more

Hein and Jenny are the greatest. They take their time with each manicure and pedicure making sure my nails are the best they can be. They are both very friendly and it is a very friendly shop with customers chatting back and forth. I just really appreciate the care and time they take to make sure the manicure/pedicures are done well.
