I walked in and nobody greeted me. They didn't ask what I needed. They literally just ignored me. I've never experienced this in a nail salon before I stood there at the desk for like 10 minutes and nobody said anything so I just walked out. I have been going to nail elegance for several months for the acrylic nail dipping and waxing services. Cindy always does a fantastic job. She is always putting in the effort to make sure they look as good as possible. She is excellent at making creative designs on her own or from a picture. She is punctual and always has a welcoming smile. Tammie does my waxing she is always very clean and professional. She does an outstanding job with the waxing so that hair takes a while to grow back. Honestly, I am disappointed, confused, and overall really sad. I'm just a full time student who wanted to get her nails done for her birthday and made time in my busy school schedule. I called a day ahead to make an appointment, they were able to get me in for the next day. (I kept thanking them on the phone) I said on the phone I wanted the gel x short nails and the regular polish for a pedicure. (No gel) she told me the gel x short solid color would be $60 and the regular pedicure would be $30. My total being $90. Which was a great price. And also what I could afford. But when I came in and mentioned my name, the front desk lady which I am assuming is the boss? Knew my name, appointment time, and knew I was getting my gel x and regular pedicure. She told me to grab the booklet of colors which was on a rollie chair next to the customer who was finishing up her pedicure and leaving in a bit and I got that handed to me. I ended up choosing a color. Only to find out at the very end after I was done, that the woman she had me waiting 20 minutes for actually put gel on my toes! I didn't get angry nor mad I understand mistakes happen. What was upsetting was how they didn't apologize but instead expected me to pay the $15 extra in the end. I explained, then smiled and said "I'm not that type of person and will kindly pay. But I did ask for regular pedicure multiple times" I smiled and then made my way to the front to pay. There was miscommunication and obviously a language barrier so there's no reason to get angry and I would never do that. But what hurts is asking for something you don't receive and then having to pay extra. I genuinely wanted regular for personal reasons and was trying to avoid gel on my toes. The girl who did my gel x manicure was kind and kept apologizing to me. I could tell she was tired because of how long everything took and I told her not to worry and kept thanking her. But the lady who did my pedicure... never apologized or even felt bad. They just took my money with no sense of care. I will not be coming again :( read more

If I could give this place negative stars I would. Not only are the workers extremely rude but they are PETTY. The salon itself is extremely dirty. I walked in one time thinking about getting my nails done since it's in my neighborhood, but I walked out extremely disappointed. There is a nasty smell and the red head lady is crabby and entitled. They over charge for the most basic service and I've never seen dirtier pedicure tubs. Really really horrible. 0/10 read more

I got a pedicure and full set gel acrylics. The entire experience was rushed and I feel like the pedicure she didn't even really scrub my feet and it was super fast. They are usually pretty busy because they do appointments only and have less staffing. My acrylic nail on the other hand turned out not the best and the owner tried to charge me $70. I asked her why it said $50-55 on the board but she is charging me $70. She said it was because the length and shape..... the man who did my nails did not tell me that whatsoever. And my nail length? And the shape? I didn't even get anything special. Oh and there were smudges and bubbles on my nails. Some nails were uneven and not straight. They didn't have any of the colors I wanted. They were really limited so I just did basic white. If you are looking for a good acrylic nail don't go here you can get better for $50-60. Not 70 for this! read more

If I could give 0 stars I would. Came in for a gel pedicure and regular manicure. I picked a whiteish color for my pedicure and wanted clear polish on my fingernails because of work purposes. I asked for a specific white for my toes, which they didn't use. They decided to use a whole different shade than I asked for so what was the point of asking me to choose color ya know? Moving on to my manicure, the technician tried their hardest to get me to get gel which I declined because it damages my fingernails beyond repair. This obviously pissed him off and he proceeded to give me the worst manicure I've ever seen. My fingersnails were slanted and uneven. He proceeeded to smear nail polish all over my fingers and clearly said F the top coat lol. My nails look the Same as when I walked in. Will never by coming back here again read more

My favorite nail salon so far ! I work in Encino and came for a gel manicure. I brought in my own gel polish. There's a specific light neutral pinkish nude that I always want. I hate feeling pressured to pick colors and the dissatisfaction of getting the wrong pink shade. I'm sure you ladies can relate :p They accommodated and were more than ok with me bringing my own polish. I mentioned to my nail tech that other places don't allow me to wash my hands after filing and shaping the nails which leave residue and bumps under the nail. My nail tech made sure there was no filed nail residue. She painted it at the perfect start at the top of the cuticle. That makes it last longer and insures that it doesn't lift. Price wise, it isn't bad. It's not overly expensive or overly cheap. I definitely recommend this place. They're very popular so sometimes they get packed. read more

This is my new favorite nail shop. I came here for the SNS nails (BTW Cindy, the owner is the only one in the shop that does it so you'll need to call and book and appointment ahead of time). But moving on, Cindy is so very lovely. She is sweet and treats your nails with care. While doing so, she took the time to get to know me. Very warm hearted. My nails came out amazing! And in the conversation I had with Cindy, I can tell she values her clients and is always looking for ways to polish her skills and her shop. P.S. - The rest of the ladies here are so sweet too. When I first initially came as a walk in, Cindy wasn't available, but everyone was so polite to me when I came in. This nail shop is truly knows the meaning of quality customer service, and that's rare. Without a doubt, I will be back. P.S. I arrive and I wait for 10 minutes which I'm okay with, I show the nail tech the nail design that I wanted which was the swirls that have been trending. She told me it wouldn't look the same and I asked why and she just said it's okay. She struggled placing the nail tips and struggled with the acrylic itself. They are definitely more pricey than the salons that I go to in Northern California, but considering that this place is LA, you get a pretty darn good value for getting your nails done. It came out to $32 for a gel manicure, but they did a great job. The reason for the loss of a star is not because of the price, it was because of the unfriendliness of the staff. It was about 50/50 in terms of how welcoming the staff was. Half of them were VERY friendly and the other half were gruff and rude. When I explained to the owner how unhappy I was she tried to justify it the horrible job done based on my natural themselves (which are thin and brittle). Don't waste a dollar here.
