I think I found my new favorite nail salon! It's not like the typical super busy and compact nail salon. When I got in it didn't feel rushed, they saw me right away, which is rare. My nail tech was Manana and she was so insanely thorough and detailed with my nails. Polish app was neither good nor bad, I felt like it stayed for about a week before it started to lift which is not normal for gel but finding a good place in LA that doesn't charge $85 for a gel mani is next to impossible. The nail tech made my cuticles bleed in two areas and made the other fingers really tender for about 2 days. I've never had that happen before. Stay far away! This place requires "deposits" before every single appointment and then refuses to refund them even if you are cancelling weeks in advance and for good reason (not that any reason should be required). Also, I was never informed until today that the deposit is non-refundable. Not in a single of the many text messages where a "deposit" was requested. Not one. The owner claims this is allowed because the information is posted on their website (I found them on Yelp), social media (which I do not have), and a small sign in the corner of their salon. I am so obsessed with this place. Let's start with how beautiful this salon is, as soon as you walk in you can tell you're gonna get a great service. I went here for a set of GelX nails and called for an appointment and was able to be seen same-day. The salon is beautiful. They offered me champagne, water, or coffee and showed me all the shapes available for GelX, which I really appreciated. Caroline did my nails and did a fantastic job. She was really thorough and gentle and I loved how they turned out. The service was great and the price was very well worth it! Scheduling an appointment over the phone was pretty easy and requires a deposit to book. I scheduled an appt based off their French Tip photos. I've been getting french tips for 10+ years. The lady who did my mani shaped my nails & polished very nicely. Two ladies helped with my pedi. The overall experience, Staff were friendly but the nail filing for both were pretty rough and polish seems to chip pretty easily. I've only had these nails for a week and I expected them to last a bit longer because I normally get my nails done every 2-3 weeks and I've never had my nails look like this so soon. I do love that they take their time but I don't think I will be returning based off my nail experience. read more

I never write reviews, but I felt this one was necessary. I get biogel manicures monthly at a different salon, but have heard great things about Russian (dry) manicures and was so excited to try it out. [[HIGHLIGHT]]It was super easy to make an appointment online, I marked that it was my first time and I didn't have a tech preference as I've never been to this location before.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I get to my appointment on time, which was scheduled for 15 min after they opened and my nail tech was just setting up everything, not a big deal but a bit annoying to wait. She was sweet, but told me it was her first day and that made me nervous as this was my first time doing this type of manicure that I've never done before. Long story short, I left the appointment in pain and really dissatisfied with the process. The online booking platform said it would be an hour appointment, it took almost 2, the cuticle/dead skin removal process really hurt and as you can see from the picture I have red, irritated skin with little cuts that still hurt hours later (on both hands). She used something called liquid styptic which I later found out is a liquid to seal/stop bleeding from small nicks and cuts. That was extremely upsetting because not only did I have no idea what she continued to press on me, but she used it so much, which meant she was cutting me up a lot. On top of that, she was constantly wiping my fingers with alcohol wipes so I was internally screaming. [[HIGHLIGHT]]And you might be wondering why I didn't speak up, well the tech spoke very minimal English and I'm just not that type of person.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] At the end of the day, my nails turned out fine, not as perfect as I thought they'd be, and in my opinion not worth price for the discomfort I currently feel. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I really wish that by marking that it was my first time, the salon would have paired me up with a tech who has worked there for a while so that I would enjoy my experience and want to come back.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] read more
