Under new ownership. Nail services are more limited than under prior owners (no dip powder, etc). Nail techs perfectly nice but I didn't feel like they did an amazing job. It was weird as the owner (I'm guessing) and nail tech were talking about how much money nail techs can make in different areas, and about different customers and who has "a lot of friends" (I'm guessing because they want people with a lot of friends to be clients for referrals.) I gave this place countless of chances and was very patient about it but sadly they just cannot get their act together. Owners keeps on changing in the past years and it's not getting better. The products are of low quality, and gel chips after a week. I do understand it is a new ownership again now, but things are extremely disorganized, and many of the technicians are very incompetent. The owner Alexa was nice and generous offering us multiple discounts and even comping us twice. One time I was assigned to Cassandra who was very heavily drilling my nails to remove old gel, despite my asking to be gentle and careful. She acted confused not understanding I didn't want her to remove my natural nails too. I left, and owner reached out asked me to try them again. I came back and had to wait over 45min, despite being on time, but I didn't have to pay which was unexpected & appreciated. I decided to come back last week in support of the new owner. I asked for my old gel to get soaked then lightly drilled, and a new girl, Jessica, took close to one hour to not even fully remove the old gel polish, it was ridiculously long, she was also not cutting my nails properly and at that point I didn't trust her whatsoever so i left. My daughter stayed and did a gel mani with the OG Asian ladies (who are super sweet and great by the way) but her gel mani already cracked after a week (not the first time it happened). I really wanted to be supportive and gave the place many chances but it's sadly just not the quality and service one can expect. Hopefully it will improve with time! read more

I've known about You Got Nail'd since 2015, but I hadn't been in a while due to past experiences. Recently, I decided to give them another shot after hearing there's new ownership, and I'm so glad I did! Alexa, the new owner, is wonderful sweet, polite, and genuinely committed to creating a positive environment. She's calm, patient, and goes out of her way to make sure customers feel welcome and comfortable. Kim did my gel pedi and was fantastic! Alexa and Kim stayed open late, didn't rush at all, and made sure my toes looked flawless. Her work was so impressive, I even recommended her to my teenage daughter, who also had an excellent experience. Today I had my appointment with Casandra and she did such a good job on my pedicure! I got a simple light blue color and it's so cute, I love it! She's so sweet and I overheard multiple people compliment her while I was there. I witnessed as her previous customer before me, hugged Casandra goodbye and told her she'd miss her until their next appointment! Like, how freaking cute is that! That speaks volumes on her character, in my opinion! Another customer walked in - a dad bringing his preteen daughter for a soak off on nails that Casandra had previously done on her and the dad and daughter couldn't stop raving about the "under the sea" nails Casandra did and how cute they were! The woman who did my nails literally cut into my cuticle causing pain and painted the nails unevenly, with SO much nail polish on my skin, with a very light coat on my nails. A young, brilliant business owner who treats her employees with respect and kindness. My daughter's first nail experience here wasn't the very best. Nails were awful, however Diane and another nail tech quickly noticed my daughter's sadness and rectified the situation right on the spot. They too, agreed nails were bad and gave her a whole new beautiful set! The service was impeccable. We've been back several times and love the girls here. I HATE to have to do this. I moved away and came back and something has changed. I've been 3 times since moving back to Encino and the past 2/3 have been disappointing. 2 weeks ago I scheduled an acrylic fill. I sat down and the tech immediately took a clipper to my nails and chopped length. Shocked I asked would she be able to keep the shape after doing that. She looked confused and said yes? I kept going. Finally she started putting my fingers in foil (what they do to remove nails) and I said wait... for a fill? And she said "no receptionist told me you wanted new set, is that ok?" And what was I supposed to say? She already chopped them. whatever at the end of the day my nails looked lovely. 24 hours later 2 nails were completely lifting from the cuticle side (I've never had that happen!) I called the next day to ask for them to be fixed and was told (no apology) that the tech that did it wasn't in, so if I wanted to come in that day I would have to pay otherwise wait till the next day when my tech is back. This seemed super ridiculous to me. So I said fine- I'll come in today and pay as I had an event the next day. The host immediately said "oh actually we don't have any appointments today." She was able to squeeze me in at 10AM the next day. My even was at 12, I figured it would take 20-30 min to fix, I could make it work. WRONG. It took a full hour. My nail tech was scrambling between my nails and removing another lady's and had another person waiting. She was definitely stressed (I felt bad for her for this!) As I left the gentleman at the front (who is always suuuper friendly and kind!) obviously didn't know the story and said it would be up to my nail tech whether or not to charge me. Even though I felt I shouldn't have to pay I felt terrible for her as her next client was now way behind and visibly annoyed. So I paid and tipped again. (To be clear I just said it's fine! I wasn't going to be a Karen and sit there arguing over $10) It's been 2 weeks to the date since my original appointment and I have one nail hanging on by a bandaid, and 3-4 others lifting and they have been for about 3 days. A $70 fill (not including the money spent to fix!) should last at least 2 weeks. Not be falling apart 9-10 days in. The staff are lovely (except that one girl over the phone who was not accommodating or sorry at all) but the quality of service compared to the pricing just don't hold up anymore. I hate to say this because Kim and most of her staff have always been great... but like I said... something has changed. read more

I've gone twice now to get Gel X extensions with nail art from Lee, and have left blown away both times. She is attentive, thorough, and beyond sweet. I've given her so many reference photos and have let her freestyle a bit! She definitely wants to listen and work with you get what you want. She is truly an artist! I've been a loyal customer of "You Got Nailed" for a eight years, starting when I was just 15. Unfortunately, my recent visit has left me feeling compelled to share my UTTER DISSATISFACTION and disappointment with this establishment and the new owner and management. I decided to get a GELX treatment with Daniella, and it turned out to be a grave mistake. The application process was so poorly executed that I was in actual physical pain! It was so painful and throbbing that I had no choice but to return to have a nail removed, an experience I never imagined having at a nail salon. To add insult to injury, my once-strong and healthy nails are now weak, brittle.I used to enthusiastically refer family and friends to "You Got Nailed," but sadly, they've all stopped going too. I strongly urge others to save their money and seek services elsewhere.It's disheartening to have witnessed such a decline in service quality after being a client for so long after this new change in management. I hope this feedback can lead to improvements for both the salon and its clientele. And that they would consider putting the heath of their clients nails above make $75. Brenda and Kim were extremely nice. But color 178 requires tons of coats and does not come out as you would think. I also requested gel on my toes and instead they used regular nail polish. I asked for gel because I wanted to put shoes on, came home and sat crossed leg and it's was over for my big toe that wasn't even painted as one solid color. I thought because they had 4.5 stars they'd be awesome only to be thoroughly disappointed. Super sad right now, not to mention my pedicure was wack. I took my daughter to get her nails done for her first day of school! Danielle did an amazing job. We couldn't find the pics we took when she first had them done but she was super happy with the shape and the design. Danielle did a better than the pictures my daughter took for her to replicate and it was exactly what she wanted. She gets compliments all the time about the beautiful creative design. I absolutely love this place. I'm so happy I decided to go here after frequenting a place next door. It's always well kept, they have 5 pedicure massaging chairs that are in great condition. And 6 seating options for anything hands. Kim def gives off boss ass babe vibes and her brother is hilarious. Def appreciate them. Leslie is always so kind and accommodating, if she can be. She's been seen cleaning off the pedicure massaging chairs and side tables. Organizing nail polish racks and delegating nail techs and customers, effortlessly. Lee takes her time and gives thee best manicures, she's sweet, patient and pleasant. Henny is very thorough w/pedicures, she takes direction very well and is also very nice. My fiancé loved her and she's def my go-to. Larrisa is also super duper sweet, entertains my ongoing chit chatter as if she's my therapist lol thanks, girl! Upon arrival they have you wash your hands and assign a seat to you. A gel mani and gel deluxe pedi is about an hr to an hr and a half totaling at $92. $32 for my gel mani and $40 for deluxe (totally worth it) and $10 for gel. I love coming here early during the weekdays as it does get extremely busy. I usually book an appointment here. I've booked as a walk in but was asked to return in 30mins, which I was happy and grateful to do. They have a wide selection of colors, regular, powder and gel. One of my fav parts which is completely not necessary but also one of those, I didn't know I needed this in my life till now, is the 90's to early 2000's music videos playing.
