Dan came out by himself in 2017 to custom mount our 50" tv over our fireplace and also mounted the speakers. We were so happy with his work that we called him back years later to replace it with a 65" Samsung Frame tv with a Sonos sound bar and we LOVE it!! Dan brought an associate to help and though our wall had a few challenges, they were successful. I also got a follow up text to make sure all was well a few days later. Dan is a great TV installer but he is not up to speed on integration of built-in sound systems or smart homes. One of the TVs he installed does not have Steady sound. He said it was an Xfinity issue. Xfinity said there was a loose cable. He added Sonos speakers to our ceiling speakers. When I asked for help in managing the different outputs, he said the Sonos app had changed and that he wasn't familiar with it but that we could figure it out. We now have different music from different sources playing throughout the house. I was hoping Dan would fix this and the TV sound but he did not respond to our request for help. We have had to get someone else to redo everything at our cost of course! It would have been better if he had told us upfront that the job was not in his field of expertise. read more

Called them to mount my TV above my fireplace and they did a great job. My home is set up to just mount the TV - the wall even had the cord tube set up with the blank faceplates already. I called because I wanted professionals to take care of it for me. I bought my own mount, although they also have reasonably priced ones available on hand that sit very flush. The items that I did ask that they provide were 4K HDMI cords (2 - priced at ~$45 a cord), and new open faceplates (under $5 I think for two). My mount was unique in how it mounts to the TV, so they had to get creative with it. They ended up using their own bolts to mount to the TV. Apparently, LG TVs have mounting holes on the lower portion only - so keep that in mind when buying mounts. They were professional and did a great job. I would use them again. read more

R&D Audio helped us in a matter of days! We were really lucky to request for an in-home quote on a Sunday night, have Dan ask to come out Monday or Tuesday (can't remember) for said quote (took another company 1 week+), and Dan even said him and another employee would be available to come out that Thursday (TWO DAYS LATER!) to install. We had our TV, AV receiver and home theatre system already. Just wanted the pros to set it up, especially since it would require going up into the attic area. Dan came in with a pretty swift plan once he saw what he was working with, and the quote seemed too good to be true! Well, they came out Friday since it worked better for us. Went into the attic area and installed our speakers in the spots Dan recommended, made our TV look amazing without any wires showing (they fished them into the wall, and the work they did to make new holes and place plates on them was very clean). My husband was the one who was home during the install (which only took 4 hours), but Dan made sure to check in with me the next day via text about what I thought about their work. I was very happy with it and honestly, we watched a movie that night after the install and am just blown away. Our little home theatre is our favorite room in the house now! Dan even offered to clean up the wires on our downstairs TV, but we didn't mind that set-up compared to the room upstairs. Totally appreciated the offer though. The cost itself was a fraction of what another company quoted us, but don't let a lesser cost fool you. The work they performed was top-notch, efficient and clean. This company is licensed, bonded and insured and these guys know what they are doing. They never tried to up-sell us on anything other than make helpful recommendations (ie: the all-in-one Harmony remote, which we enjoy!). Anyway, give Dan a call for a quote! Highly, highly recommend. I sought them out after reading the Yelp reviews and they definitely lived up to the reviews. Professional, prompt in communication, ethical (they could've upcharged me for unnecessary extra work but instead were honest with me and said I should wait to see if I really wanted it), and they were quick. They had to troubleshoot a fairly unusual request to mount my tv and sound bar and wire everything through to the closet on the other side of the wall and made it look easy. Our living area and home theater are awesome thanks to R&D. Also, they were very good about maintaining COVID precautions throughout the install. If you need something done these are the guys to call, when I contacted R & D on Thursday to do the work they had me scheduled & ready for Friday morning, not only are they friendly but very professional & efficient, they showed up EARLY to complete the tasks I needed done in the home theater room. My wife and I just purchased our first home in Happy Valley. The home came with a wall mounted 55" LED TV mounted above the fireplace. We purchased a soundbar that didn't quite fit underneath the TV. Dan at R&D AV was actually gave us the best estimate for re-mounting the TV to fit in the soundbar. Dan communicated very well and quickly via e-mail and phone. Building a custom home. These guess are a joke. We specifically asked for cat 6A, but got cat 6 ran. Asked for a patch panel and got a freaking box. The wall plugs were offset from our electrical plugs by an 1". VERY UNHAPPY! We do not recommend at all. read more

We recently hired R & D Audio to relocate our existing audio system to a new home. Dan evaluated the situation at both the old & new homes & provided us with a couple of options as to how to proceed.
