AVOID!!!!!!!!......... My wife and I reserved a so called "back in waterfront site". But when we came and checked in and were guided to our spot we were very disappointed at what we got. It was a back in sight but not next to the water but apparently we had an elite sight. We had a trailer to the left of us who paid a lower standard rate and the to the right of us we had the road and behind us just gravel. Across that road were the back in sights that were exactly what we expected next to the water. We paid the exact same price as the ones across the road, but we were told that ours is the same as those and have beautiful views and was considered an elite sight. There was no great view And could only see the ocean through the small cracks between the Rvs and trailers tightly packed together. We did not want to stay there and wanted a refund but the Manager was gone for a week so the workers in the office could not apparently do anything and could only send an email to the manager in hopes of getting something resolved. We waited patiently and did not want to make a fuss about it at first but we didn't hear anything back from anyone. Thinking about our situation more, it was unfair and that they were robbing us, thier description of the sight is very misleading and how we paid for an ELITE SIGHT but nothing was elite about it. So we made a fuss going to the office again and even calling corporate. In the end we were only refunded $60 which was apparently the difference, but it got to the point where we just wanted to leave and enjoy our time there and not ruin our vacation. So avoid this place completely all the sights are very tight and over priced and thier water front backin elite sights are a scam. Horrible water pressure, no internet included (have to pay third party). We paid extra for a better connection but still terrible wifi connection, no cable TV available, can't get local stations on antenna. The lots and hook ups are not layed out properly. None of these things are major issues until you look at the price per night (expensive). Overall nice place, employees seemed nice and helpful. Well kept facility. Great location. Wish the restaurant bar stayed open later. The sites are really small unless you get a premium which we did and glad we did. read more

Staff was beyond incredible. James from the security team checked us in with a smile. Then Jack took us to our site and insisted upon backing us in. Great service! Also spoke to Jordan in the office and she was wonderful. Then George gave us some tips on local places of interest. There is no onsite dumpster so guests are instructed to place their garbage bags outside and a staff member kindly picks them up. Recycling bins are available. We stayed in site 339 for 5 nights and it was fabulous! We loved facing the water. This gorgeous resort includes a private beach area with lots of activities. There is also a large pool with 2 small hotubs and even a small store. The pool was heated but sadly it is always full of splashing kids. Resort staff also provide 3 large hammocks for guests to enjoy. Pretty cool! We tried the onsite restaurant one night and it was disappointing to say the least. We found a table and proceeded to be ignored for the next 20 minutes. I walked up to the bar and decided to order some happy hour items there instead. The female bartender was highly apologetic. She said that only 2 servers were on duty as the entire staff was undergoing daily COVID testing. Perhaps multiple folks had recently tested positive? Things seemed to be back to normal a few nights later when we heard a live band playing along with lots of drunken warbling from bar patrons. Now that's the island spirit! Tiki hut located at the NW corner of the resort is a great place to watch the sunset. Free wifi at the community center wasn't so great. Didn't try the optional paid wifi at our site. Also did not try the onsite laundry or bathrooms. Our AT&T and Verizon phones had decent signal strength. Couldn't program any over-the-air TV channels but who cares? Get out of your RV and enjoy the beach! read more

What a wonderful, beautiful experience we had. The property is beautiful, the staff was fabulous, from the check in process to the escort to our spot and the wonderful help getting parked. I think this needs to be offered everywhere. What great service. The staff was heartwarming, always offering a smile and a hello. This was our first time to the keys area and we will certainly return. The amenities were great and we took advantage of everything. We were there for the week of Labor Day. It made it worth the drive from Orlando area. We had our doggies with us and were close to grass area for them. read more

House keeping is the worse I have ever come across. Not only was the room late because she lady was sitting in there watching a soap opera on tv but she didn't clean the room. There was still coffee in the coffee maker from the previous customer and also old food in the mini fridge. The floor was not cleaned and the table on front porch is disgustingly dirty full of coffee stains and cigarette buds everywhere! The location is nice and has potential for a great family vacation but they must do something about the housekeeping. Also, the lighting in the room is terrible. Great place to camp but I stayed an extra day, was to be charged $81 for the day and after I left I noticed they charged me $178. I have been trying for over a week, left messages, I can never get anyone to call me back or pick up the phone. So, their customer service is not very good. $178 a day for a camp site with no pool (pool was constantly closed due to poor maintenance) is a but much!! The restaurant, the Lobster Claw was great and the music on weekends was the best! All and all I will go back. read more

The staff is plain out rude. They always give you a hard time to get through the gate. The people at the gate are clueless. We had my in-laws pay for parking for us ahead of time because we were coming in late and when we arrived the gate people were asking for proof. The office had already told them it was ok for us to come and park, yet they wanted a receipt. On another occasion the showed up to our cabin to check who was there. It was only me at my husband and we were expecting company but they approached us with a nasty attitude and questioned us like as if we were lying. This time around our cousins came along, we wanted to park the trailers near each other. We were told the trailer park was full, this was a LIE, there were like 3 empty sports right next to us. Our cousin was out at the other end of the park. Definitely not coming back here. read more

We just spent our Thanksgiving vacation here and it was a great time. Our lot wasn't waterfront but We were lucky to not have neighbors our entire stay which made our time enjoyable. The pool and hot tubs were clean and we had fun sitting poolside as well as beachside. Of course it's a Keys beach so if you're expecting to wade into the water instead of using stairs than you'll be bummed. The marina and store were well stocked and reasonably priced. All staff we came in contact with were friendly and helpful. We have 2 children who absolutely had a blast playing on the playground and made tons of friends during our stay. Oh and how could I forget about Sunset Point, it was the perfect place to watch the sun go down! We all agreed we would definitely visit again! read more

We stayed here for a weekend in May. We rented a cottage for two nights. The photos of the cottage online were so nice and walking through the door at first glance it was nice as well until you really started to look around. Wasn't that clean and paint was peeling, doors wouldn't shut, knobs off doors were missing. We called to tell them we wouldn't be checking in till 8pm check in was supposed to be after 4pm. When we got there we had no toilet paper, no towels, no sheets, and no soap! Because the office was already closed we had to go to the guard shack who was very dismissive with us and told us if we wanted those things we had to purchase a linen package which was $125 per stay. Which they never told us about when we booked the cottage. Really? In order to get toilet paper or soap you have to pay? But even if we wanted to "add" that package we couldn't because the office was closed. So we had to quickly load up the kids and make it to the nearest store 20 miles away before they closed to buy all the necessities. And to add to this our main TV in living room never, porch lights never worked and we only could get hot water on one of the days we stayed there. Which we complained to them about and was told they would send out maintenance which never showed. The whole place needed some TLC, looked very run down. The only good thing was our water view. It just sickens me that we stayed here and paid a little over $500 for two nights when we would of paid another $100 and stayed up the street at Ocean Point, which we have stayed before and loved! read more

This place could use a lot of work and it sounds like Encore is going to overhaul the RV Campground this summer. Not a minute too soon. We stayed here a week in February 2014. We found the campground via a Passport America promotion and stayed 50% off for a week. I believe 50% off is still too much money for the RV Campground. The spot they sent us to was too small and after 1 1/2 hours of problems, we finally were given a spot that fit our RV (36' Class A) but learned later someone else was already paying for the space for a money but out of town. The laundry list of issues with the campground include: - Awkward spaces with a concrete patio in an odd place, hard to pull in a RV close enough to the hookups. The campground spaces are also very muddy and have an odd 'smell' - Laundry room is often filled with broken machines; one day there was only one washer operating (out of ten). The change machines rarely worked and the front office did not have enough quarters on hand. - Electrical/Water issues - At least twice we lost power/water to our space with no warning. They are 'fixing' the electrical/water, but a little notice would be helpful. - The office was chaotic/understaffed. One of the office personnel was incredibly helpful, although you could tell she was overwhelmed by the chaos. - Quiet hours: 11 PM to 8:00 PM; this involved a few late night 'parties'. - Resort Fee: This RV park is part of Encore, we were already spending $50 a night. I had to pay an extra $3 per night for our stay for a 'Resort Fee'. In Las Vegas, a Resort Fee covers the TV and WiFi but here it covers ... (WiFi was an additional charge) - High number of permanent/snowbird residents who have settled into the RV park, full patios, etc... This RV park had water, sewer, electric and cable hookups. There was a laundry room, which was clean but very expensive. They have a large playground, which our kids enjoyed. Would I recommend this park? Maybe. Would we come back? We booked a 1 night trip here without reading the yelp site. After reading the reviews, I was very concerned, and considered trying to get my money back and staying at a different place, but decided to give it a shot, and I'm very glad I did. While we ended up not staying the whole night (we got badly rained out and our tents were not in good enough shape to last the night) but we still got a chance to enjoy ourselves on the beautiful location during the day. The tiki bar and grill was run by an energetic server who was fantastic. The woman who checked us in was friendly and kind. We really had no problems with this place except the weather, which obviously couldn't be changed by the staff. By no means was I completely wow'd by anything in particular, but I think the terrible reviews here are pretty outdated. I was pleasantly surprised by a totally enjoyable experience. I think people are a little too hard on this place. But then again I didn't go into this expecting a perfect place with lots of things to do and perfect accommodations. read more

Currently staying here. Extremely costly. The person who sets you in a site doesn't have a clue. She puts these 35 to 45 footers end to end and you are also sandwiched in eith all the slides. Then puts little tear drops etc in the pull throughs. There are so many empty spots right now. And i heard her when i went up to move sites tell people she was booked through March. Piss poor management. Tiki bar is good. Food is pricey and just okay. Kids everywhere. I think they should put the kids near the playground area. The dog policy is a joke. We have a beagle and a doodle. People have pits, etc. I could go on.... read more

We have been camping for several years and we have been here before... actually our first camping trip we here.. and it was awesome! Skip forward to now!!! This place changes its rules on a daily basis! Price is high! Since they redid the park after hurricane they narrowed the spots and made them so close that your neighbors slide never mind their crapper hose is in YOUR spot!! No cable! Internet 5.95 a day. Docks $50.00 per day. No food or bar on site. When it rains the drainage is unexceptionable on the back side of the camp ground. Don't rent a cabin of the weather shows rain because you will be locked in by the flooding... never minds the stinky mangrove smell that is pretty constant on that side as well! NO HANDICAPPED access to pool!!!!!!!!! We requested a easy accessible dock due to my mans healthy issues and that was a joke as well! 1000 Trails is a huge rip off that's sucks on new campers... don't buy into their campground crap it's for suckers! FIESTA Key you took the fun out of Fiesta you might as well be a 65 an older campground! Best thing is the sea life and they cannot charge you for that but if they could they would ! Of and we have 4 awesome neighbors and 1 neighbor that should should Stay home On their own yard! Lastly lots of small hazards on property so beware!!!! Spent 3 wonderful days at Fiesta Key resort in one of the ocean front cottages. I highly recommend this place if you want peaceful beauty and relaxation. It's close to everything you need and only 60 miles to Key West. Can't wait to book it again but for even longer. Word to the wise though states sleeps 6 but 2 are upstairs in loft so be ready to crawl and 2 on fold out couch which isn't comfortable. Bring an air mattress but I'll definitely be back. read more

Everything was very nice! Could be overcrowded with small lots, but luckily for us, no one was parked in neither side of our RV. Spots 185-186-187 are the best water view ( my opinion). Had a great time camping and fishing for the weekend! They have a store on the property but only use it for emergencies cause the prices are a little crazy. They have a small bait selection and the store is closed by 6:45pm so buy what you need early. Site was clean and right by the pool and showers which was helpful since we had my 3 year old son. read more

First timers stayed in an RV Park. The good outweighed the annoying. Now we know what we don't want.

We only have experience camping with our travel trailer in 2 parks in the Keys but of the 2, this was our favorite. Having an onsite resteraunt/bar was a huge plus for days we didn't feel like cooking or going out. The grounds were well maintained but the fishing was our absolute favorite. Open areas with ocean breezes kept the bugs away. We saw dolphin, sea turtles, rays, sharks and so many more sea critters just by hanging out at the fishing pier. The ONLY drawback was how absolutely cram packed the sites are. We could have reached out our slide window and tapped our neighbor on the shoulder...no exaggeration! Our slides were INCHES from each other. Thankfully, we didn't spend much time at the RV, so it was easy enough to look passed. read more

This place is full of rude employees. Everything you do is illegal here. You step on the wrong rock and the security is circling around you to tell you that you stepped on the wrong rock. It's ridiculous. The security circled around our trailer on our check-out day and reminded us we have to leave by 11 like 4 times even though he saw us cleaning up. We were 10 minutes late to checkout and he came and told us we had a fine. The front desk lady is so rude and unnecessary. This place is not what it used to be and we won't be coming back. read more

Going to preface this by saying please save yourself the money and the disappointment, stay anywhere but here. If I could give this place zero stars I would. We came to stay for a weekend to celebrate a birthday. Even though the views are beautiful, the rude attitudes of management and staff take away from it. Our stay started badly due to a security officer making us park our truck and RV in an area that was virtually impossible to pull out off. All because we pulled up to the gate to check in. When we finally made it out of that spot, and got to our RV the gentleman that helped up get parked was very nice, the only nice person we encountered at this stay. The RVs are so close together that there is barely space to sit outside. If you wanted to you could touch your neighbors RV from yours. This place is not clean. It is obviously not kept up well. The bathrooms are disgusting, to the point where no one could use them. The store that they advertise as having everything you need, we couldn't go into because the AC was broken. This is just one of the many things in this place that is in need of repair. Many of the walkways are closed down due to being broken or active construction going on. There is construction all day every day making it impossible to relax or sleep during your stay and spreading dust everywhere. The advertised beach area is not a beach area, it's stairs that lead into the deepest part of the water, roped off into a small rectangle where everyone is supposed to swim. Though the restaurant has good food and friendly workers, they have the longest wait for service I have ever encountered. We ordered our food at 7:15 and didn't get any of our food (not even appetizers) until past 9pm, and the restaurant was half empty. The worst part of our trip however was when we tried to have some friends visit after a day at the beach so that we could sing happy birthday and eat some cake together. On our first day there we asked the security officer if we could have 5 guests visit us and he said yes, they just needed to have our site number. When we arrived with our guests we were told that only 6 people were allowed at each site. At the site that WE paid for in the RV that WE own. We asked to speak to the manager. The manager, Tamela Miller, is the most rude and disrespectful person I have ever met. And I work in healthcare, I've met every type of person out there. She walked out, obviously angry with our contract in hand saying we had agreed to 6 people. This was never verbalized to us. When we tried to explain that these guests were not staying for more than a couple hours, it was just to celebrate a birthday, she said and I quote "I don't care". And proceeded to tell su our guests had to leave. She also stated, I'll give you a refund and you can all leave. She barely allowed us to say goodbye to our guests as she stood at the gate screaming at our guests to back out and leave. When we attempted to walk back to our RV to pack up and leave she stopped my mother and I, who hadn't spoken to her at all, and said we needed to leave that we were no longer guests there, even though our green guest wristbands were on and our RV, truck and family were back at our site. This was such an unpleasant and disrespectful woman who should not be managing any type of business. This place has an extreme amount of rules including "quiet time" from 10pm to 8am. Of course this quiet time doesn't include their construction crews who start their work at 6am everyday. There are much better places to stay and enjoy your vacation. DO NOT GO HERE. read more

We love the setting of this park. This was our second visit. The staff seemed to be working very hard to keep up with everything. However there were many things done with I assumed was a attitude of " I have so much to do this will have to be good enough". For example, in the ladies restrooms, some one had brought Toilet paper and towels but did not take the time to put them in the dispensers. If you are looking for a pristine resort this is not the place. If you are.looking for a kid friendly, happy place to enjoy yourself this place is the the right choice. We enjoyed having a restaurant on the property. It adds to the resort. Encore is still in the process of getting this place fixed up. I was a little disappointed in the pool and hot tub renovations. There were several places where the concrete was un even causing many trip hazards. In renovating it seems they would have fixed these hazards. I was also surprised that they put out their old grungy chairs, in stead of getting new chairs as part of the renovations. To sum it up I say yes I will return to Fiesta Key with the knowledge that ENCORE is not renovating it to be a five star resort but rather an average campground facilty in an awesome location. read more

There is nothing I can say even remotely positive about my recent visit. I have been here several times over the last two years and every time I visit it continues to get worse. The only reason I continue to come back is because of the fishing. There is a bridge that is close that I enjoy fishing off of. With that being said my list visit was so horrifying I don't even think the fishing would bring me back. Long story long here is what happened. Before we came for the week between Christmas and New Years we made reservations in August. We needed two sites and were able to book across from each other. I travel in a thirteen foot teardrop and the other party travels in a thirty three foot class c motorhome. Originally I was not thrilled with the sites but I completely understand how busy it was going to be at the end of December so I was content with the site location and being across from the other party I was traveling with. December comes and we check in, upon arrival there were about six people in front of me and only one woman helping people. After about a thirty minute wait it was my tun. After providing my name the woman lets out a sigh and says they moved your sites and I have no idea why. After about then minutes of rearranging things they found two spots on the complete opposite side of the park we booked. The sites we got were 346 and 348. Site 348 was small with a tiny paved slab. Site 346 was just as small but had a ton of other issues. There was a busted water pipe so the ground was soggy and muddy, the cable had been cut so there was no television service. This on top of both sites were covered with dog crap. The site was so soggy stabilizer jacks from the RV couldn't be used. The site was too small for the thirty three foot RV and there was no other sites viable to move to. Between the two sites we paid for six nights over $1,000. Now lets talk about amenities. They have a bait and tackle store that basically has banner hours. They close for luck and other breaks throughout the day. I tried to visit the store three times and all attempts found a closed sign on the door that stated will return shortly. Restrooms and Showers. There are two shower locations. The first is near the bait store, it was closed for remodeling, how can you remodel a shower/restroom during the busiest time of year? This means people from over 200 sites were all using the front shower/restroom located near the entrance to the campground. Half of this bathroom was also closed. The sign stated closed for cleaning however it never opened throughout my stay, this left four shower stalls and three toilets, one urinal. This shower/restroom location was absolutely filthily. The floor was covered in dirt, toilet paper, paper towel and miscellaneous trash. The shower stalls were small, dirty and all smelled like a dirty urinal. I never saw throughout my six night stay anyone in the area cleaning. And get this, they have a dog walk, at one point they were so overbooked I saw tent campers on the dog walk. The campground has a restaurant on site, because of the deplorable conditions found throughout the park I did not dare to try it. The campground also has boat slips this is quite convenient if you are traveling with a boat. There is also a pool on site, nothing fancy. I asked the staff several times for a picnic bench, after day four of asking and never receiving I finally gave up. I attempted to ask for a partial refund but was never able to get anyone of authority to authorize it. I have also been unable to find any type of email or physical address to send my concerns to only a phone number where you are told to leave a message and someone will get back to you. It is completely unacceptable the amount of many paid to stay here and have the worst service and accommodations possible. How can they not have enough staff or campground hosts to adequately run the park is beyond me. I would say 90% of the sites are small to the point you could reach out and your camper and touch the RV next to you. If your looking for spacious or clean stay away from here. If you looking for rude, rundown over crowded sites then this is your place. read more

Fiesta Key RV Resort has been ruined by Encore. I have been visiting this location since the 80s, when KOA owned it. I was really excited to visit again after being away for a few years due to military culture (i.e., living in other states). I was meeting my parents & we were going to enjoy Encore's Fiesta Key Resort together. My parents were also very familiar with the property. They were under the impression that there is security at this location - not true. When I arrived around 11pm the "guard" was gone & the gate was lifted for anyone to enter. I thought it was a one-time occurrence, however, every night while walking my dogs I saw the same scenario. Anyone could pull right in & there is no security at all. One night I caught the "guard" after waiting at the entrance for a few minutes. I told him that I was concerned about the gate being left open & unattended because my parents would be staying longer than I, & I was concerned about their safety. The guard shrugged his shoulders & said, "What do you want me to do about it?" I wanted him to do his job! I later found out through other employees that there isn't any security at all Mon.-Wed. Terrible!! I became annoyed by the security guard's careless attitude & told him that I wanted him to do his job & that HE was the one wearing the security shirt. His ego must have been bruised because he said that he didn't need to listen to my complaints - he walked into his office & shut the door in my face. I walked to the window & told him that "as the professional that [he] should have..." he cut me off & said "as the professional, you shouldn't talk to me like that." I informed him that HE was the professional & that I was the guest. I continued & let him know that he SHOULD have been interested in my concerns & SHOULD have told me that he was sorry for my discomfort & that he would take my message to his supervisor. Instead, he said, "I'm just doing what they tell me to do" & looked past me to address the man in the car that was checking in - & to indicate that he was done with me. He was extremely rude & served as a terrible resort representative. I learned that the property is understaffed. That is no excuse for having an unsafe property. I learned that employees are paid $8.75/hr. WHAT?!!! This property management cannot even take care of its own, FEW, employees?! I learned that temps are brought in to make up for the lack of employees. Although I saw a man walking around picking up garbage, there was lots of garbage in the rocks where the RVs parked. I was constantly commanding my VERY SMALL dogs to "Leave it" when they found straw wrappers, candy bar wrappers, etc. on the rocks & and around the property. Even my dogs were not safe on this property. The villas were just mini-houses on a trailer - with wheels! This probably allows the property to avoid paying taxes on them. The RV lots were very tight. There is one RV section where the people are essentially permanent residents, with the outside set up with all sorts of decorations, full-refrigerators, outdoor-patio furniture, etc. It seemed more like a trailer park than a resort RV area. The restaurant doesn't open until 3pm. Many times during my visit I wanted to visit the restaurant/tiki bar before 3pm. There are many guests outside & near the restaurant very early in the day with nowhere to go. The convenient store had terrible hours, too. It closed right before dinner time - when people may actually need something. We had tents in the RV section. An entire family was allowed to set up 4 tents in the RV section. This was uncomfortable and unsightly. The weekends were an absolute disaster on this property. It was really overcrowded. People blared Spanish music. Kids rode their bikes through the streets late at night - cussing & screaming. The pool was loaded with people. Many people were diving into the pool, even with a sign that clearly read "NO DIVING." One man almost hurt a little girl when he dove - his legs hit her hand & the ball that she was swimming with - knocked the ball right out of her hands. It was a filthy place. It felt more like a cheap apartment complex pool in the ghetto than a RESORT pool. The RVers had multiple problems with their internet & power connections. Children were allowed to drive jet-skis (illegal) from this property. One weekend, while sitting at the tiki bar, I saw one person who found a star-fish. He showed his friends, then looked around & wrapped it in a towel & walked away (illegal). There is no regulation at all on this property. It was really a sad experience. You have got to be kidding. We were down for lobster season and stopped here for lunch. I have stopped here in the past with two ladies running the place. Service was great and food was ok for frozen stuff. Yesterday stopped there and Moe, Larry and Curly were working on some ice machine. Never said two words to us. We waited 15 minutes for them to even say we'll be with you in a minute. Too bad... Great location and view. It has great potential. But management needs customer sensitivity training. Bring back the two ladies that ran the place in the past. A local and will recommend visitors do not stop here. read more

First time here. We stayed for a week. I booked what I thought was a two bed room with a cook top and bare necessity kitchen supplies. When we checked in we were informed that we had rented just a motel room and all it had was a cube fridge. They did apologize and tried to upgrade us to a kitchenette to no avail. Everything was booked. (I believe that we would have had to pay for the upgrade anyway). The room we ended up staying in was a group of four rooms. It was spacious and the beds were comfortable. It had two queen beds, tv with satellite ,cube fridge and a Keurig coffee maker. There were two rocking chairs on a covered porch and a patio table with four chairs out front. Parking was right in front of the room. You were kind of on your own for house keeping. You put your trash out along with towels and had to stop by and tell the office that you needed additional towels. They would deliver them and leave them in a bag outside your room. The advantage of this was that no one went into your room unless requested. There is no view from the room due to the motel part being in the middle of the RV park. However it's a short walk to the on-site restaurant/bar. There is a beach of sorts with a pool and hot tub next to the bar. A sidewalk of sorts runs around the island with some areas to stop and enjoy beautiful views of the ocean. In short, we would definitely stay here again. I think I would call the resort and book over the phone instead of on-line to make sure I was getting the room that I requested. read more

So, your old pal Rick Jeans finally did it: He loaded up the old Chevy Malibu and headed off to a vacation wonderland in paradise known as Fiesta Key RV Resort in the Florida Keys. Now, I know what you are thinking, "Rick Jeans, you live in Pompano Beach, which is in Florida and it's, what, like a two hour drive or whatever to the Florida Keys. Why'd it take you so long to go see the paradise for yourself?" Well, buckaroo, Rick Jeans has things to do too, like work and catching all the games live on cable sports TV. (Go Panthers!) So never you mind about why it took me so long to make the trip of a life time, but I did and now I am here posting about why Fiesta Key RV Park makes heaven a place on earth, just like Belinda Carlisle sang all those years ago even though I don't think she had an RV Park in the Florida Keys in mind. Probably some cool dude she had a thing for. A real cool Tony, no doubt. Now, looking at all these other reviews here, people need to get a grip on the reality of the situation. Don't be such a whiney pants and get hip to the beat in the Keys. Hey, it's five o'clock somewhere! (Note: Fiesta Key is in the Eastern time zone.) Fiesta Key--Spanish for Party Key--is a party waiting to happen. All you have to do is turn up. On Saturday nights, a cool cat named DJ Radar Love spins the tunes old (Elvis) and new (ABBA) and makes the dance floor shake at the local bar and restaurant which is called the Lobster Crawl I think. He works for tips so show the man some love. (Hint: Money!) Every one dances. Even your old pal Rick Jeans showed off his moves including the Electric Slide. It's like going to a wedding where you have to buy your own drinks. And speaking of which, the Bud Light tastes exactly like you'd expect and the pitchers are made of plastic. I also tried a Jagermeister but that was a bit much and I'll leave that for all you younger Yelpers out there. Anyway, every one is superfriendly and you will make new friends that will last a lifetime or until they go home to Ohio where they are from. When you're not dancing to DJ Radar Love and his DJ Radar Love show, there's a hot tub you can't use, washrooms for getting good and clean like your momma showed you, and a store selling all the stuff you could need for a good time in the sun. (Doritos, suncream, Sudoku books, etc.) There are people who live there on boats at Fiesta Key! Man, that's the life! Some of them offer fishing tours and maybe, if you're lucky, you'll catch THE BIG ONE! read more

We were staying in another resort and was exploring other resorts for booking with our extended family. The resort looked beautiful from US-1/Overseas Highway so we thought we'd check it out. We noticed signage reflecting "Private Resort" so we parked in guest parking and walked to the office where we were met with two nice ladies and a grumpy old geezer wearing a fishing hat, khaki shorts and a long sleeve shirt. We asked if we could tour the property and immediately the old geezer Ralph Kramden interrupted the two ladies, shook his head NO, NO, NO and said "THIS IS PRIVATE PROPERTY! HOW DID YOU GET IN HERE!?" We replied we parked and walked through a concrete pathway to the office. The ladies provided us with a brochure and asked us to leave. With that kind of rude attitude and paranoia, we will NOT be back. Based on other reviews of this property on Yelp, we have some idea who the "security force" is who rides around on a golf cart noting any possible hint of park rule transgressions. It is jerks like that which give "high end" campgrounds a bad rap. read more

My family and I just stayed at this resort this past weekend from Saturday to Tuesday. We were a group of 6 adults staying in a cottage. Pros: - nice location with great views - cottages are new and updated - restaurant in the resort was very good and wait staff was pleasant - resort has a marina, pool, beach area, and space to fish from sea wall Cons: - when making the reservation, we specifically requested a certain unit and was told by the woman on the phone that it was available and was going to make a note in the system. Upon arrival, the unit was already reserved even though we were told it would be available for us. - the front desk staff was not very helpful. They have you a bunch of paperwork after checking in and don't explain anything. Would have liked for them to have explained the towel situation and the garbage disposal. - only 4 of the 6 individuals checked in on day 1. We told the guard at the gate that the other two individuals were going to arrive the following day. He told us to add their names to the list and that he would call us when they arrived to explain to them how to get to our cottage. When they did arrive, he did not let them inside the resort unless we personally arrived to the gate to escort them in. This was not our understanding and they had to wait about 30 mins because we were arriving from a fishing trip. The resort could manage manage this by simply asking for their ID's to ensure it matched the names provided on the list. - many empty slots in the marina and yet we were told none were available - people dry docking have to park further away from the marina that the people docking their boats. At least provide some convenience to people having to unload and load their boats everyday by allowing them to park closer to the ramp. Overall, it's a great location and has a lot of potential. Unfortunately I was turned off by the service levels considering the expensive price. Clean towels and plenty of soap for 6 people should be provided on a daily basis for the rate they charge. read more

I don't know who is managing this place but I can promise with 100% certainty that I will not be back. They were supposed to have campers in every other spot, social distancing, 50% capacity. They stuffed that 50% capacity all together, no spacing, nothing. Dog feces was also plentiful in our site when we arrived and we had to crane it up before we could even set up. It was disgusting. Rules changed, daily, and depended on who decided the new rule would be at the time. Brought my small flats boat, asked for a dock space that was low because I am handicap and have a very difficult time with it as it is. Nope, stuck me in a dock space with the dock so high if was near impossible to even use it and made even trying to use the boat a major issue. All the while the low spaces they could have very well allowed me to tie up we're totally empty the entire time we were there. Forget the pool if you are handicap, not even remotely accessible. The area over by the cabin rentals, flooded and smelled terrible. Cable does not exist. WiFi, its an extra $6/day if you want it even if you pay their premium rate. Very young kids allowed to drive golfs around with no supervision and no rules. I personally watched a few that couldn't even touch the pedals driving around. Where was the management for that? Walking hazards aplenty, be careful where you step. If you are backed up the water, be prepared to have your sewer hose connection in your neighbor's front door. Those spots are so tight your awning will be up against your neighbor's slide. That's not social distancing, you can't even use your awning unless you want to feel like a sardine in a can. You will have no choice but to hang out behind your RV so being a pop up tent. This was by far the worst experience I have had ever experienced and have been doing this lifestyle for quite some time. Don't waste your time or money and find somewhere else to stay. If you complain, the management doesn't care and blows you off. Why spend that kind of money to be treated poorly?!?! read more

Our Asheville Video and Hendersonville Video crews combined forces and rented a RV to haul us and our gear for a quick job in the Keys. This place is a bit pricey, but it turned out to be worth it. We stopped here on impulse on a travel day and got a nice space with a water view. Check in was easy and the assigned space easy to locate. Plenty of water pressure and the power was clean and constant. We didn't have RV's on either side so had lots of space to ourselves. We had a cook out all day long and just hung around enjoying the nice weather and the water. We left the following morning wishing we didn't have to. read more
