I really want to give this place good reviews, but I can't. Unfortunately, it's an issue of execution. Today was our second visit because I want to give them another chance. The food is good, but timing and service are just plain bad. After 18 years in the restaurant business, the number one rule I learned was all food needs to come out together. My group was finished eating before anyone even addressed the fact I never received my burger. In her defense, it was not our server's fault. Her fellow server stole my burger to give to someone else. On top of that, no one from management addressed the issue. They left it up to our poor server. After that, I was done. Left without eating. Let me go ahead and address my small issues with them so I can move on to shower them in well-deserved praises. One, I'm upset that the truck has been out of commission for weeks! Lastly, the prices are kind of on the expensive side, but I will say, the portions are large so it really does balance out. Let's move on to the delicious food. I'm not even a burger person. I'm actually trying to cut out red meat, but that Bayou Burger makes me backslide every time! The burger has Gouda cheese and a chicken spinach sauce on it that will have you do a shimmy! I'm glad I chose this food truck. I ordered the Cajun Chicken Alfredo and added shrimp. It came in a plastic container and had some garlic bread on the side. The food was amazing and I will definitely eat there again. The chicken was a lil dry but it was seasoned well. The bread was crisp and really hit the spot. There were no Covid-19 precautions that I could see but the staff were really nice. One of them even complimented my hair. I will say that although the food was filling I feel like it was a lil pricey. I spent about $15 before the tip and taxes. Overall, really good and I would definitely recommend. read more

When I arrived, there was a small crowd but orders were taken promptly. The service was fast. My wait time was less than 15 minutes. I ordered the Bayou Burger, chicken sandwich, and cajun chicken pasta. My son enjoyed the pasta dish. But the burger and chicken sandwich didn't meet my high expectations, which were based on other reviews. With that said, I'm glad I tried it. Starting with Mel, the host, she was great and went through all of the menu items and she made sure the kitchen knew of my brother's seafood allergy. Ashley, the bartender, was phenomenal! She made our drinks perfectly and they tasted sooo good. We came on a Friday afternoon (3:30-4ish) and it wasn't that busy so we sat at the bar. We ordered the Uptown Fries and Cajun Trio Alfredo. It was everything that I thought it would be and more! I got the Bayou burger, which is a generously sized hand-crafted burger that somehow manages to cram 4-5 pieces of shrimp, about a half a pound of ground beef, Gouda cheese, and homemade chicken spinach between two hearty buns. The outcome is a sensational Cajun twist on the traditional burger. This was my first time trying this food truck, and it was absolutely amazing. I ordered the Cajun chicken alfredo and it was honestly the best alfredo that I have ever had. The taste was delicious, everything was seasoned amazingly, the chicken was very moist and they gave you a good portion of chicken, which is sometimes not common when I order chicken alfredo from other places. Surprisingly, there was a piece of garlic bread that was served with the pasta and it was a really good addition to the meal that I liked. I will definitely have to come back and try some of their other food that looks delicious as well. Being as the workers were in a food truck, they did their best to social distance and wore masks. been instagram stalking this truck for a while and i finally was able to catch it at good people brewery friday night for dinner. i got the spinach dip and the 10 piece wing with fries and a sprite, $17 and some change. a bit pricey. my friend ordered the chicken alfredo and spinach dip with a water and got the same total. the spinach dip was great. hands down some of the best CHICKEN spinach dip i've ever had. the drawback here is that i asked how much cheese you get. she showed me a 6 ounce container cup with a lid. however when i received my order it was a basket of chips covered with cheese sauce that was NOT six ounces. not only does this method leave you with chips covered with cheese on the top but it leaves you with chips that are untouched on the bottom. i was called to bring my chips back when i started eating because they forgot to put chicken on it. they just placed a few pieces of cut up chicken on top... (sigh) the wings were great. juicy, filled with flavor, cooked to perfection. the fries were okay too but i wasn't crazy about them. the chicken alfredo was disappointing. i tasted this at the yelp event earlier this year. when i tasted it, it was more of a bake. however if you order it at the food truck it is a circular tin filled with pasta noodles, dried with cheese and topped with large piece of chicken. if you don't mix it yourself, you'll end up getting bare noodles. even then you don't have enough sauce to coat the amount of noodles given. the truck is definitely worth trying again but make sure you are SPECIFIC in what you want, otherwise you might be disappointed read more

According to their facebook page, this food truck's Grand Opening was today April 15! Paul and I ran into them today at Good People Brewery during the Cornhole Classic benefiting The Bell Center. We tried to represent Yelp but failed miserably losing 3 out of 4 matches. Hey at least we won one match. I don't get a chance to try many food trucks and I was fortunate to encounter this one. From what I can gather, they are originally and still might be a grocery story, but now they have ventured out with their food truck. Their food truck is a gem. There's really nothing to report besides the food. There's no interior decor, no parking issues, no waiters to rely on. Their menu is simple and limited. They have one app (Chicken Spinach Dip), 2 pasta dishes (Cajun Chicken Alfredo & Shrimp Boil Overload), 3 burgers (Bayou Burger, French Onion Burger, Bacon Cheese Burger) and 2 chicken (Jumbo 3pc wings or 3pc tenders). There was quite a line of patrons during lunchtime at today their Grand Opening. I ordered the Bayou Burger. It was very very good! At least a quarter pound of beef, cooked a slight under medium the burger could've used a touch more seasoning. I would've asked for some a sprinkle of Tony Chachere's, but I didn't want to get back in line :-) It was generously topped with gouda cheese and then on top of that about 4 large sauteed shrimp. Finally it was smothered with their signature Spinach dip sauce! DWD (Delicious With a capital D)! They were out of napkins which were really needed because be prepared goodness to come oozing out. You also get a compliment of nicely seasoned fries. All that minus a drink for $13. We had the worse experience tonight. We ordered at 8:04PM. We waited over an hour and half for our food while everyone who ordered AFTER us received their food. Then when we finally got our food, my wings had NO seasoning at all, and I ordered the Cajun fried wings. Also, I ordered the spinach dip fries with no chicken. It was the Alfredo sauce on them and not the spinach dip. I'm highly disappointed! We visited the food truck a couple of times, and I just knew we would have another great experience. Went for lunch with my friends. Truck was easy to find and parking was a breeze for the time we got there. I could see how if they got busy this would not be the case. The lady taking our orders was not the friendliest and the food took a bit longer than other food trucks I've visited. The sign stated they were out of wings and out of spinach dip so i ordered the loaded chicken fries. While I'm waiting on my order i hear a lady ask if they have wings, they state yes we do but not a lot. Why not just list them until you sell out?! My food was good but very greasy. They can improve with respect to communication and professionalism. I went to the Milo's distribution center today at 11:00 a.m. as they were supposed to be set up there and be open to the public. When I arrived I was informed along with many others that it was not open for the public by Milo's employees. Encore Rouge did not communicate anything. The food truck was for Milo's employees only. Okay, I decided to give them another chance today. I went to the Letson Farms location this afternoon. They were supposed to be set up from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Arrived at 3:55 p.m. and was in line. Waited until 4:15 p.m. and they still were not open. Nothing had been communicated. Nothing said to the crowd. Say something to the crowd. Don't take your customers for granted. I left. Their food truck partner K & J opened on time. The owner of K & J communicated with the crowd.
