We are here on the Space Coast for a celebration of life for a dear friend and needed to be close to Cape Canaveral where it's to be held. We're pretty easy to please when it comes to RV parks (we're full timers and have seen many a park) but my gosh, this one is a huge disappointment unfortunately. Mostly due to the rates! We have a 42 foot RV towing a Jeep Grand Cherokee and we couldn't even begin to fit in the site that was supposed to be 100 feet long. Utilities are at the very backend of the sites so no parking the car back there. The park is pretty run down with a mishmash of mostly older RVs and park models with a lot of junk in some the yards. Not that I mind that but the kicker is that a nightly stay here is $94! They do not have WiFi or cable, which we don't need but others might want to know that. Interior toad are very narrow and the sites are paved with gravel. The overnighter park we stayed at in Lake City last night was about the same caliber for $29. That's about how much I would expect to pay for this one. We're here for 2 nights and will be fine but my goodness, the cost! I guess is what gets my goat. Not too much competition for them on the Space Coast as RV parks are few and far between here so I guess they have a corner on the market. We were very happy with our stay here at Space Coast Resort. We belong to Thousand Trails and this resort is included in the "Trails Collection". The staff and seasonal full-timers here were very friendly. The resort suffered flooding from Hurricane Irma, but they are on the road to recovery. The main office has been repair, painted and has new flooring. The activity center is still out of commission and may be a total loss due to having over 4' of water inside. To make up they are using the dining room area for activities and have a large tent room set up for other activities. They have community meals at least weekly and various groups meet for card games. The heated pool is clean is a nice place to hang out. There are two laundry facilities with plenty of washers and dryers in clean, good-working condition. The private shower rooms are clean and there are several available. There are a couple of small ponds which provide a place for the ducks to hang out and are a pleasant place to walk dogs. If you like shuffleboard, they have four courses and there are horseshoe pits near the community kitchen/dining area. There are no tennis or pickleball courts or a playground. The desk clerk told me this resort has been here since the 60's and many guests have been wintering here for many years. It's very clean and although there are many long-term and full-time RVers here, the resort is neat and well-maintained. New electric panels are being installed throughout the resort. Many of the fences are new and there's a lot of fresh paint after the storm cleanup. Some of the pads could use more gravel and there are not picnic tables at each site. Short-term sites are mixed in with the long-term and park model sites, but there is a large section at the entrance that had only motor coaches and tow behinds. There is very good internet service available for a reasonable fee (we paid $10 for 3 days). The location is central to many attractions - Cocoa Beach, Kennedy Space Center, Orlando, and a couple Grapefruit League spring training ball parks. We enjoyed a day at KSC and watched an Atlas launch of a NASA Satellite. We went to Port St Lucie and saw the Mets & Nationals play in a beautiful little ball park. Plenty of shopping, restaurants and other services are nearby. We found a nice kennel nearby (Cocoa Kennels) where we left our dog and cat for grooming and boarding one night. Unfortunately we are pretty disappointed with the property & staff. Originally we were super excited to actually find an rv park in coco with an open spot, so beggars can't be choosers, however Space Coast RV had such high reviews, that we were even more excited to spend a few night there. When we arrived the resort looked nice from the entrance. THE STAFF: At check in there were 3 women that we're working in the office. 2 of the 3 were very cold and dismissive. The more mature woman out of the 3, was the only friendly one. I was chatting about the launch the next morning and how excited I was to wake up at 5am to see it. One of the ladies actually rolled her eyes at me, to my face! The next morning we walked over once the sun came up and asked if they had coffee for purchase (all of the rv parks we've stated at ALL have offered coffee, so I didn't think it was an outrageous question to ask) and again one of the 2 rude women looked at us like we had 3 heads and said no, then walked away. Wtf?!?! THE PROPERTY: We we're in spot C4. When we went to plug in, it was very obvious that a fire had happened prior to that power plug. We informed the office. C4, has no shade and the ground was just dirt and some rocks. After setting up, We walked around the park with our dog. There were other spot around the park that seemed quite nice, but for the most part everyone is on top of one another & NO PRIVACY AT ALL. The bathroom facilities were clean, but need to be updated. My shower drain was totally clogged and started filling up with water about 5 mins into my shower, but I was already committed to using that stall, so I stuck it out. By the end of the shower I was standing in probably over 2 inches of water, it was gross! We had booked & paid for 2 nights, we ended up leaving the next morning. I can honestly say I don't mind giving up the $60 for the unused night to go somewhere else. * Also, the resort isn't near coco beach at all. It's a $31 (each way) Uber ride away or a 15 min drive. read more

So rundown! Ants everywhere. Long term people have crap all over their sites. Things are not kept up and really nasty! WAY OVER PRICED FOR WHAT YOU GET! We will never stay there again nor recommend it to anyone! read more

While the staff was super friendly and accommodating, the spots were extremely tight. If you have a larger vehicle make sure you get a pull thru in the middle. I didn't hear any noise at night from people or highway so that was great. The pool looked smaller in person than the photos. read more

This RV resort was a nice place to stay. We enjoyed two nights here because we were visiting Kennedy Space Center. The RV resort had a mixture of permanent RV's and travellers. The bathrooms were clean and could have a renovation. The friendly staff was helpful and nice! read more

We stayed one night with them. They said it was full hook up. We were charged $65.00. No tv hook up. When asked the next day they said it was not included in full hook up. I also ask if there was any discount for arap, good sams or veterans, I was told I should asked when I booked. There are no signs indicating the area as A, B, etc. Hard to get in your slot. This RV Park is a hidden gem. Right off 95 in Rockledge Fla. minutes from everything including cape Canaveral, Patrick AFB Coco Beach. The staff second to none. Maureen ,Kathy and Linder in the office the most professional team I have ever met. Everything I needed was taking care of on the spot (and I am a lot of work). Don't forget Mike (shorty) and another Mike and Bob. They handle everything out side. I mean everything... 24/7 you can reach any of the staff. The park was great, the people are friendly, the pool is decent and the showers are basic. The only complaint would be they made us park under an acorn tree that spewed sap. The camper and truck were covered in it and we had to listen to acorns hitting the roof all night, but not their fault. The shade spot was nice, would rather have a tree than not I suppose. Pretty much all older retired people but they were welcoming to us with kids. Would stay again! read more

We recently vacationed in Florida and stayed at three campgrounds prior to Space Coast RV Resort. FYI, the closest beach to this place is a 33 minute drive. Our campsite was D4, a pull though near the center of the campground. There was a very large live oak tree hovering over our entire site, shedding acorns not only by the wind, but by the multiple squirrels running through harvesting them. We did not sleep any of the three nights during our stay due to the sound of acorns hitting the top of our camper throughout the night. Not to mention, the acorns fell all over our truck, covered the picnic table, and covered all belongings left outside. There are many campsites on the premises that have live oaks, just like this site and we heard other campers having similar issues. We believe we should've been forewarned by staff of this issue before accepting the site, so we could make our own decision to stay under these conditions. We can't imagine having stayed another day, it was awful! The issue was brought to the attention by staff and they merely said, "thanks for letting us know."
