This place is not what it shows :( I had a free tan for another place that shut down a long time ago. But she still gave me a free tan, she was very nice and knowledgeable. She showed me around and talked to me on what each machine does. Made me very interested in the red light therapy, which I'll definitely try. They let you pick as many packets of tanning lotions as you want, they are free. The bed I used was sting enough to get me a tan, clean and felt good. I recommend this place as well :) read more

This is my first experience with this type of Spa and I absolutely love it. You can call ahead and make an appointment if you want something in particular or show up without an appointment. The manager is very nice and was very thorough with introducing me to the spa amenities. I love being able to come after work and get my zen on in the massage room or getting a facial. I wouldve given 5 stars but yesterday on sat when i arrived at 5 the place was closed. On a Saturday? You would think they would be open. Anyways after not being able to go here i went over to body heat on durango. After body heat i noticed the pros and cons between the two. This establishment has way nicer private rooms very chill and zen like. Body heat is like your going into a changing room with a tanning bed and their tanning beds are kinda grody. The tannimg beds at this establishment are wayyyy nicer for just a couple bucks more than body heat and way cleaner thats why i was soo bummed they closed early or changed their hours to winter hours. This place charged 15.50 and you can choose from multiple beds for that price. Body heat you pay 11 dollars for a basic bed 21.50 for the one i get here at a cheaper price. So id recommend going here if their open. Even though their a little bit more expensive its worth it. read more

This was an interesting experience. I tried it out because there weren't any yoga classes at other locations on a Saturday. You are given a single person sauna room set at your desired temperature. You select a yoga/ foam roll/ stretch course from their library and follow the guided lesson on a monitor in the sauna. It's nice if you prefer a truly solo experience as it is just you and a screen in the sauna. I prefer a class setting for yoga classes but I can see the appeal for those who would rather exercise in solitude. They offer free towel use and charge $10 to rent a mat. I came here for the infrared sauna. I think theirs is not working properly. It never reached the peak temp and I did not break a sweat after 50 mins chillin. I've been in a few, and I'm just not sure what's up. You have to pay $20 a session or their $65 a month for all of their services. I've been going here to tan on and off over the last few years. I cancelled my membership a couple months ago and all was well until yesterday. They decided to randomly charge me $90 membership fee months after I cancelled, now I can't get a hold of anyone. Also, the place is now run down, most services aren't even offered anymore and the owners do not reimburse even though the mystic bed was broken for almost weeks at a time. This was my first time trying anything like the full body hydration therapy. I came in and the staff was very friendly and immediately walked me back to my room. It was very private and the salon in general was very ambient, clean looking and well-kept. About eight minutes into my treatment I was trying to adjust the massage/vibration on the hydration station, and managed to accidentally turn off the machine. I put on The robe provided for me and went back to the front to ask for help. A different woman helped me and was very quick to show me how to restart it, so I got a free additional couple of minutes in. The vibration never did work but I didn't mind. The temperature went up to 48°C and indeed got extremely hot, the steam and the infrared light were nice and by the end of the session I was glistening and felt great. It's a bit pricey, but if you have money it's worth it & I would definitely recommend it read more

This Planet Beach location is spotless and a bit more contemporary than the Ft Apache location, if the new "Slim" machine is any indication (a new bed-like device that heats you up to burn up to 500 calories and is reported to assist you in your weight-loss goals). The staff are all very friendly, maybe even over-perky (?). All spa services are done by or on machines, which I like, as I am saved the work of making small-talk or trying to enforce no-talk with well-meaning spa staff. After a few hours of massage, facialisation, and oxygenation, I was ready to leave. I expected some sort of sales pitch, but received none, to my surprise. Cool. Monthly unlimited membership is around $110; if you pay about half that ($55), you get your choice of 8 services/month. read more

Just got a new membership here, I've only had one visit and I'm already in love. The front desk staff is extremely friendly and helpful. The entire place is extremely clean and has a relaxing feel the moment you step in. I stopped in for a tour a few days ago and was able to do a service on the spot. I had the facial that doubles in an automatic massage chair. It was probably the best 20 minutes of my life and my skin feels great even two days after my service. I'll be back in tomorrow for another facial and to try other services. :) read more

After years of using Yelp and contemplating opening up an account for numerous fantastic places I've been, PB takes the cake and I finally decide to write a review. Why? Because... 1. I am very pleased with them. 2. This location does not have a review yet and I want to put in a good word. I've always been a big spa junkie, and became interested in PB because all of their spa services are done my machines. When I saw this, I fell in love-I basically can get a massage, facial, AND a tan anytime I want, as many times as I want in a month for a monthly rate that costs as much as one regular spa day? SOLD. Also, I needed to an excuse to get away from the house for a few hours a day. Hubby-bubby and I are circling each other and growling. So the Centennial Gateway PB is awesome. Big, and most importantly (to me) CLEAN. I'm not going to be standing around barefoot and naked in some contraption to let my sweat intermix with a previous user's, ya feel me? The ladies there are nice, but (it seems like) only if they need to be. Other than my "main chick" no one else has introduced themselves to me, just because. Doesn't bother me TOO much since I don't care to chit chat with the girls when I'm supposed to be getting my spa on. One star off for the price...yea, it's a bit much. If you're into value, and you know you're going to come here 4-5 times a week and stay for about 2 hrs (approx. 3-4 services) then Unlimited is the best. BUT it's not even membership costs that bothered me. It's the fact that ON TOP of membership, you have to also buy a bunch of (expensive) products to go along with your services; for example: lotions and eye-protection for your tan; whitening gel ($149 for 3 uses!!!) for the teeth whitening system; prep, treatment, and after-care creams for your facial; more lotions and body oil for the sauna, hydration station, and red light therapy bed, etc., etc. So if you plan to use everything a few times a week, buying all the crap can get a bit pricey. Overall, the spa services leave me feeling refreshed and relaxed, the girls are helpful, and I'm fine with making a dent in my wallet if it is for the sake of my sanity and well-being. read more

The staff was super friendly, I did a stand up bed first and then wanted to do the Mystic spray tan as well, I had been researching all about it because I usually only used the versa spray bed. Online and in the reviews it mentioned all these add ones that you can ad as far as scent and glow, bronzers,etc. I wasn't told or offered any of them, which is what I'm semi disappointed about because I had a photo shoot 3 hours later and was hoping to be bronzed and tab for my shoot but I am extremely pasty still. Hoping that the dark choice I made when choosing my color kicks in soon lol ;) but other then that honestly it was great. Hoping to see more results tomorrow that's for sure. But all in all it's a A- for me. Very clean, nice staff, just need to mention to first time customers about the add ons, that's all. :/ read more

An old co-worker of my always raved about how awesome this place was and how she became so much healthier here. I decided to give it a try and absolutely fell in love with this place. All the workers and so nice and willing to help with anything and strive to keep everyone happy. I am always there with a current employee, Ashley, she was more than happy to give me a tour and explain how everything there worked. But this location is very clean and has many spa like services you can use such as hydration station or the cyber chair. But there is hit core classes and red light therapy. I started showing signs of becoming bitchy and/or neurotic as I was often finding myself cranky, negative, and feeling worn down and overwhelmed. Well I couldn't have that, so I scheduled myself some more naps and got a membership to Planet Beach SPA (don't let the name fool you - it's not just a tanning salon). This place has been my saving grace for getting some much needed self care with their Hydration Station, Sauna-tox, oxygen bar and hydro massage therapy beds and massage/no gravity chairs. I feel more energized and relaxed and as a perk I'm losing weight (and cellulite) too. Having a biopsy on your face over a skin cancer scare will keep a girl out of the tanning bed, so though they do offer tanning, they have so much more!! I just use their Mystic...but it's so much cheaper than getting a tanning package cause with a membership you have unlimited use of all their services!! They even have facials and teeth whitening. It's a one stop shop spa! Their products I use are all natural too! Plus the Aqua massage bed they have is the same one my old chiropractor uses, so it's legit! I highly recommend checking this place out if you need to relax, detox, jump start weight loss, or just do some polishing on your outer beauty. But to be honest that's just an added benefit, I come here for my physical and mental health mostly! That hydration station that detoxes and rehydrates you with vitamins is worth the membership alone! read more

Kristin Willis of Planet Beach is the reason I'm writing this negative review. Please understand she needs more training on how to deal with customers that disagree with her and would like to express their disappointment to the owner without the drama that she displays. I called a head of my arrival on Saturday and asked how many sessions I had left on my account and I was told two. I arrived I tanned and on my own way out the door I was told I had one more session I said thanks and left. Two days later I came in and Kristin was the employee at the front desk and I told my name and she said I had no sessions left and I could pay $70 to get an unlimited package I said I only wanted to tan that one time and she said it's $15 I said no thank you and asked for the owners name and number to give her a call. She refused and said I can help you IM THE MANAGER. I told her I didn't like what she had to say to me about having no sessions left and her trying to sell me on an unlimited package so I would like to talk with the owner to see what could be done. At that time she told me to leave and that she could refuse service from anyone. I left and will never return. Here's the thing when people with titles think they can push people out the door cost the owner money and not try and resolve the problem the right way they need to be held accountable. I can say my wife myself and one other friend of ours will never step foot into a place that's not willing to work with you like Planet Beach. Just know that I'll tell my story to others that will choose to go else where. So how much will you really end up costing the company????? BAD MANAGEMENT read more

I'm getting married in 2 weeks and I wanted to tan. The friendly staff at the spa suggested I try a spray tan. The only question I have is "why did I wait so long to try it?" I tried the medium color. I work up this morning looking amazing. I am so excited to take wedding photos with flawless color! The spa was clean. The staff was knowledgable and accommodating. I am from out of town and have been looking for a place to tan and just pamper myself. I found this place through Yelp and was VERY excited to go. I called ahead of time to make sure they could accommodate me and asked for a specific service. Whoever I spoke to said they would be available to take me at the time I mentioned. I drove 30 minutes to get there to be told I had to wait an hour for my service. It was a total waste of my time. Overall the place is nice and looked clean but the biggest turn off was that I called ahead of time to make sure this didn't happen and it did. I said my goodbyes and went about my way! read more

I was diagnosed with hypothyroidism so loosing weight is always so hard for me. I definitely want to keep at it and see how much more I'll be able to loose! Btw, their velocity machine is my absolute favorite right now. I naturally have olive tone skin, but the velocity tanning bed makes my skin glow without actually "darkening" my complexion.
