I had never heard of Energuy HERS/permits before, but after getting a new HVAC system installed, they were the next step to making sure my completed system was working in perfect order and within required code parameters. This business is an important partner to any reputable company that installs air conditioning and heating equipment to your home or any building. Stephen M. was the rater assigned to inspect and perform tests to my HVAC system and ductwork installation. His job is to rate and measure the air flow efficiency to each vent and register. Check wiring accuracy and thermostat connections. The measurement data is recorded and sent back to Energuy for completion of the required paperwork that will be needed to present to the final official inspector by the County of Sacramento. Stephen was professional and efficient in getting all the rating information done to pass all codes. It took him about an hour to complete and he wore booties in the house, which I appreciated. Stephen from Energuy came to inspect my new ductwork and insulation installed two weeks ago. He was on time, personable and went about his business, completing the inspection within about an hour. Communications with the office, to secure an appointment, was easy and so received text update reminders of my appointment, what to expect and how to prepare for the meeting. All went well with this appointment. Stephen showed me the QR code to reach out to office staff who will book my final inspection within City personnel. I left a review for energuy on another site due to the confusing pamphlet they left. And lack of data I.e did the system pass? Energuy left a pamphlet stating that I would get important paperwork soon, but I have not received it yet. It turns out that the permit for my hvac replacement has not been provided to energuy and they are unable to provide any paperwork until they have it. This also means that the final inspection will not happen until all of the paperwork is done. I left four stars as the communication could be better. The service was very good. read more

Tony from Energuy came and tested our new HVAC system. He was amazingly professional, and put up with me having to move my nosy dogs from one room to the next while he tested each rooms vent system. He was very personable. At one point he lost a screw for the vent grill and he looked for like 20 minutes, I told him it was honestly no big deal. But he was determined to find it. He promised he'd replace it. Honestly we forgot and 2 weeks later he taped the screw with a note to our mailbox. THAT'S AMAZING CUSTOMER SERVICE. The company who installed our new HVAC system contracted Energuy to do a HERS test on the new system, which is required in California. Apparently Energuy also helps schedule the final Building Inspection that is done by the local authority (county / city). The Energuy rep who did the test at my house asked me for a couple dates in the next 2 weeks that would work for scheduling that inspection. The dates I provided passed and I was never contacted by Energuy or a local authority. I called and was told they're behind and I should receive their assessment in the mail that week. Two weeks later I called them back again. They gave me the same story, so now it's a 4 weeks after their visit and I haven't seen a single bit of traction from them. I've left things moved around in my house to provide access to the attic if needed, thinking that the inspector would be coming soon. What a pain. read more
